I would not recommend at all ### 3/5 — Good app, extremely laggy on iPhone *2026-08-19, version 1.7.328* Been using Notion for years, I love the app, and though it takes some time to understand how it all works once you do it’s simple and fun to utilize. With that said the app is really really laggy on iPhone. A few issues I’ve found using Notion on iPhone: 1. I cannot delete text on the app. Say I select text and press the x button to delete it on my iPhone keyboard, it will not delete. Even if I press x to delete it without selecting the text it won’t delete so I have to select and press the ‘cut’ selection. 2. Certain pages won’t load when I try to open them, it’ll display the loading icon for awhile and then seemingly crash and close the app. 3. Inserting photos and the page auto-scrolls downwards to the end of the page. Pretty self explanatory, but when I insert photos and then try to move them around the page it’ll start auto scrolling to the bottom of the page. 4. The app freezing. Sometimes it just freezes and I have to close the app and reopen it. 5. Accidentally selecting an item (like a divider) and the app won’t let me close the menu that pops up after where the ‘insert below’ option shows up. These are just a few issues I’ve found while using the app on iPhone. I truly do love the app, I just don’t like that these issues are so frequent. (side note: i have deleted and reinstalled the app in the hopes of fixing these glitches, but it doesn’t fix them.) ### 3/5 — Stressful *2026-08-19, version 1.7.328* Back to nested pages in one click! ### 2/5 — Great app, just really buggy! *2026-08-18, version 1.7.328* I love Notion, I love the various templates I can use and how more organized I feel once I started using Notion—the only problem being… how buggy it is: widgets on phone screen don’t work properly; they just keep loading endlessly…Sometimes you can’t delete text; it just stays there. You have to select the text and do the cut option just to get rid of it, which is annoying. Sometimes the screen just freezes; have no clue why. I think this app is great. I love Notion, like seriously… it's a game changer, but I feel like I'd love this app much more if it just... wasn't so buggy and sometimes impossible to work with. ### 2/5 — Great before the most recent update (2026) *2026-08-18, version 1.7.328* Users used to be able to browse and add templates from the web app, desktop app, or the mobile app. Recently, they removed that ability for users on the mobile app. Incredibly annoying to have to log in on a PC just to add a template. The whole point of Notion is to increase productivity. Forcing users to jump through hoops to use basic functions of the app only prevents productivity. ### 3/5 — Buggy *2026-08-15, version 1.7.328* Its a good app besides the ai slop but its got this recurring bug where if you highlight multiple lines of text and try to delete it it doesnt delete, making you manually hold delete. He says click here and ull see these options and when I do it’s not true. When I try to type on my I pad even after the most recent update it scrolls down as I type to the point where I can’t see what I’m writing and have to scroll up again and again and again it consumes precious time, only for it to happen again and again. I gots a lot of writing to do please fix it. I’m also not able to drag or adjust the image I want on my page cover, I’m having to manually crop the image so that it fits how I want making it a bit inconvenient compared to a laptop with a mouse. Other than to I LOVE IT AND I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY PLEASE USE THIS INFO I TOOK THE TIME TO SHARE FOR THE APPS BENEFIT. ### 2/5 — Used to be great *2026-08-13, version 1.7.328* My app got kinda glitchy around the start of 2026 and now it’s even worse. The only reason why I stay with notion is that it’s better to plan products the Google Docs. If Google came up with a less glitchy alternative to notion I’d switch instantly 🤷‍♀️ it’s very sad just to see how bad notion is becoming now that they’ve implemented such bad ai into their app ### 2/5 — Notion is NOT okay (updated review) *2026-08-13, version 1.7.328* The app is incredibly buggy. Transitioning from my laptop to my phone is such a painful experience. The Notion app is riddled with glitches and bugs. For example, when I create a database and add multi-select options, trying to hold down on one of the options to move it (I sometimes switch the options to be in a certain order) causes the page to spazz out of control and start auto-scrolling back to the top and it doesn’t stop unless I tap out of the page and reenter. This wasn’t an issue before, I could move multi-select options whenever, so why is it happening now? I can’t help but feel like the effort put into maintaining the user experience in the desktop version, whilst adding in new features, isn’t being applied to the app version, which is very disappointing. Creating a great platform for team communication and personal organization, only to have the app’s experience be so glitchy and frustrating, is disheartening. I love Notion and what it has helped me accomplish, but please, take better care of the app. It’s a shame to see so many bugs crawling around such a nice app. 😞 UPDATE 8/13/26: I genuinely cannot stand this app anymore. Forget the Ai updates, can you please just make the app usable?! Please?? This is such a horrible experience on both iPhone AND iPad ### 4/5 — Loving it! BUT I need more colors! *2026-08-12, version 1.7.328* So far, after only a day of use, I am absolutely loving Notion. HOWEVER, the one thing that I truly wish would be added is the ability to add hex codes for more color options or have a color wheel (preferably both). I have too many things that I want to color code with more than the options available, which is pretty limiting. I don’t like when different things are the same color simply because I ran out of options because it ends up getting confusing and ruins the point of the color coding! I want full control over my colors used! If implementing a color wheel and hex codes is too complicated, I would at least appreciate more color options or shades and intensities of the current colors. ### 3/5 — モバイル版はバグやフリーズが多過ぎる *2026-08-11* 2026年8月12日追記： 検索しようとすると「問題が起きました」と表示され、全く検索できなくなるバクが高頻度で発生中。 膨大なデータに検索無しでたどり着くのは困難で、アプリの存在意義がない。 また、検索とAIの検索窓の位置を入れ換えてほしい。AIよりも検索のほうが使用頻度高いので。 2025年10月1日追記： 依然、4月からの頻繁なフリーズが修正させず、それどころか、テンプレートボタンをクリックしても、テンプレートが表示されないことが増えました。 大きな機能向上から細かなUIや使い勝手の向上など、頻繁なアップデートは好感が持てますが、基本的にデスクトップアプリでは問題ないものの、モバイルアプリでは使っていてイライラすることが増えました。 重い処理をしているならともかく、これから記録しようというところでフリーズするので、モバイルアプリでは使いものになりません。 ノートを作ること自体、データベースなどの関係上、他のノートアプリに比べて敷居が高いのに、そこでテンプレすら適用出来ないレベルで動かないので、Notionへの記録自体が億劫になってきています。 なんとなくEvernoteと同じ経過を辿りそうで今後の使い方を考えないといけないのかなと思い始めました。検索だけでいえば、Evernoteの足元にも及びませんので、そのへんもどうにかしてほしいです。 2025年4月25日追記： ここ最近のアップデート以来、フリーズことが増えました。特に重い処理をさせたとかではなく、文字入力が出来なくなったり、タップしても反応がなくなります。簡易的なテンプレートをテンプレートボタンで実装した後、何もできなくなることが多いです。→再起動すれば直る --- 過去のレビュー： ちょっとした作業ならMacやPCがなくても使用できるので、出先やスキマ時間に重宝しています。 データベースこそが他の数多のノートアプリの中でNotionを特別なものにしていると思っています。中でも、リンクドデータベースやフィルタでデータを様々な形式で表示できるのが、Notionのキモだと思っているので、基本的に何かしらのデータベースの中に情報やタスクを入れています。 一覧やボードで表示できるのは、データのセル内に入れた文字や数字、リンクになるので、セル内に文章を入れることも少なくないのですが、改行したくなることが多々あります。 PC、Macではshift+Enterで改行ができるのですが、モバイルアプリでも改行できるとありがたいです。いまは、テンプレで改行したセルが作れるようにするか、ノート部分で改行を含んだ文章をコピーして改行させるしか方法がないので、けっこう手間がかかります。 あまり大きな需要ではないかもしれませんが、実装していただけるととてもありがたいです。 あとは、モバイルアプリの要望ではありませんが、様々なデータの添付と表示に対応するためだと思いますが、デフォルトでは添付したPDFがページの半分程度しか表示されず、自分でドラックして表示範囲をひろげる必要があります。 PDFだけでも、サイズピッタリに添付、表示ができるようにしていただけると効率が変わると思いますので、ご検討をお願いいたします。 ### 4/5 — is ai really necessary? *2026-08-11, version 1.7.328* title^ ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — thanks for logging me out after updating *2026-08-28, version 1.7.331* appreciate it ### 1/5 — Completely stopped working *2026-08-27, version 1.7.331* Even after updating, uninstalling, and reinstalling, the app is doing absolutely nothing. A magic combo that worked flawlessly until Notion screwed it up…In reading many similar stories in the reviews here, it seems that the fallout can be tracked to the introduction of AI features…and that rings true. Now, Notion for writing on IPad is not useable. You cannot see what you type. It kills any inspiration and thought you may have had when you opened it.
