Although I like Noto so much more than apple notes, the widget much needed for me and how I use notes. Welp its been well over a year and I’m back, downloaded again to sadly see that the widgets STILL do not show the note preview like it says it should. Sehr schade. ### 5/5 — Best writing app I’ve ever used *2025-12-30, version 3.6.2* Before finding Noto, I tried a lot of other writing apps. These were, by the most part, very good and easy to use. But there would always be just one small inconvenience with each of these apps - for example, the lack of the ability to change font type, insert images, or change a formatting style (e.g. font size, italic, colour). I’d use one of these apps for a while, only to later realise I can’t use regular bullet points, only checklists and numbered lists. I find that Noto, on the other hand, has every important feature that you could ever need for a writing app and more. It feels like the developers put so much thought and intuition into creating this app. There are just so many useful options and customisable features. Aside from the features, the design, aesthetic, layout, and overall look of the app is so clean, sleek, and very easy to use. I love to organise my notes/files in folders and in Noto it’s so easy to do this - and with customisable colours for the folders too. I also love that you can pin certain notes or folders at the top, which may seem minor and specific, but it really makes a difference when you have a ton of notes. I can’t give Noto enough praise. I use it to write stories but it can be used for anything writing related. This should be the default, gold standard app for anyone looking for a writing app. Thank you to the developers for making Noto - without it I probably would have given up on my passion/hobby of writing! :) ### 3/5 — Used to love this app *2025-11-17, version 3.6.2* As the title says I used to love this app. It was one of the best note taking apps I had used however it seems to have been abandoned with the last update being a year ago. It needs to be optimised for iOS 26 and is lacking features and bug fixes. And when it does open it crashes out. The only thing I saw was a little icon in the corner that let me write a new note. But nothing looked like the pictures shown on this app. There was no “how to use” guide, no drop down menu that gave me options to make folders, nothing. There were links on the website under Support, but all the ones I clicked gave me an error page. This says it works on my Mac, but it really looks like it’ll only be usable on iOS devices like iPads and phones. I don’t want that.
