I was planning on using them but this unsuspected charge led me to look into them and the reviews others have left. I read in the reviews that their service is inconsistent and that many have either been overcharged or dropped at the last minute. Just a bad first impression from me - I cannot account for their actual service, but I don’t feel confident enough about them to spend my money with them. ### 1/5 — Put in my card details *2019-10-04, version 32.0.2* I put in my card details and it charged me £1, piece of rubbish ### 2/5 — Overcharged *2017-10-26, version 12.10* They charge you more than what the meter says or what was quoted through the app if you pay with your card but they don’t inform you that they’ll do this and you only find out after the journey has cleared! Not impressed. ### 1/5 — Don't bother...taxis don't turn up on time... *2016-02-04, version 11.2.1* I have used this app a couple of times booking at least half an hour in advance and on both occasions my taxi has not turned up on time resulting in me missing my train and this time coach. The app should not accept booking if the taxis can not be delivered on time!!! Having been stood in the cold for 20 mins I called to cancel my taxi to be told by the operator that they know there is a problem with the app and that if I had phoned to make my booking they could have told me a more realistic time...so what's the point in having the app!??? Waste of time!!!! In the time it's taken me to write this review I've booked an uber and it's already arrived!! This app is being deleted straight away!!! ### 4/5 — Good! *2015-10-18, version 11.2.1* I ordered a taxi to pick me up from the station, the driver was early and gave me a quick bell to see if my train was on time, it was. He then waited outside for me to arrive, I payed with cash. Simple, clever app and friendly driver. I've used Nottingham cars before (not with the app) and never had any trouble with them! 👌🏼 ### 1/5 — Awful! *2015-10-02, version 11.2.1* I tried to use the app to book a taxi and when the app broke and didn't dispatch a car I rang the company only to be told I hadn't used the app properly and then they hung up the phone on me! Nottingham Cars must be the worst taxi rank in Nottingham!!! ### 3/5 — Minus five merits ( **** ) SERIOUS *2015-03-31, version 10.18* Booked a taxi yesterday. Had to hail taxi from the road and was late arriving to destination. Conclusion: this service is not reliable and should not be booked if getting somewhere on time is important and you are disabled!!! ### 1/5 — All around terrible service. *2014-10-24, version 10.16* After getting two tickets in as many weeks from the same place to the same destination, I've been charged over twice as much on my second journey and after paying my fair the taxi driver decided to tell me that he couldn't pay me the change because he didn't have any. The council states that it is the taxi drivers responsibility to provide enough change to pay their customers. Because of this I ended up being short changed after being charged twice as much as the week before already. Would not simply be honest so we could try at least to call another taxi company. This was very early in the morning so few buses. Kept saying to us on the phone the taxi is close, but was a lie. Train tickets were not refundable. We had an embassy appointment in London and the next available appointment is in two months.
