### 2/5 — New update is horrible

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

Everything that made the app easy was recently removed. I can’t easily add anything anymore. The recents meals are not the most recent. When I click to log a meal that is a favorite it shows up like a little pill so I can’t edit it. Those are just a few examples. Plus all the color was removed so you can’t easily distinguish between things. The easy + button was removed. I feel as though absolutely no usability testing was done for this release.

### 2/5 — The App Stinks/Nutritionist Great

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

This app is awful if you’ve spent a lot of time already logging food with other apps. I feel as if the developers are only utilizing AI to get foods logged. They recently added where you can scan items in via barcode or take a picture of your meal. Unfortunately if you want to scan item barcodes it doesn’t keep the whole meal together. They have a long way to go to make this user friendly, but it maybe different for someone who isn’t used to journaling their food and not wanting exact numbers.

My nutritionist is fantastic! Really like her and she provides accountability. Ultimately that is what I am here for, but it would be nice if this app was easier to use and more accurate.

### 2/5 — Ruined a Good Thing

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

I had been using the app consistently for months, even after my insurance stopped paying for it. They never gave me my money for recommending me someone, and then recently changed the entire layout to where I can’t add food in from previous meals at all anymore. I’ve sent my complaints but they’ve lost two users in my household now.

### 2/5 — Great dietician, horrible app

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

I love love love my dietician on Nourish, so it is a great platform for care don’t get me wrong. But the new update is so horrendous that I’ve genuinely thought about stopping all together. First off, now I HAVE to use AI to do anything. I tried logging my symptoms, but I can’t keep the log in my own words anymore. Instead, AI makes a summary. That’s not helpful and I miss being able to be honest and thorough about my symptoms.

Secondly, it is SIGNIFICANTLY harder to log meals. Not only is it confusing, but the AI doesn’t understand logging recipes and it is harder to have accurate readings of my food. I literally had to use another app and then screenshot the macros and upload that.

Third, it is now more confusing to just view my log. The AI is always interrupting in some way. Don’t get me wrong, there was AI in the previous version. However, it was much less involved and I didn’t have to go through it all the time.

The create recipe function needs to be fixed. I try to upload a recipe, but then the AI just makes its own…like no, that’s not what I made??

Something I wish they had is a way to break down the type of fat and fiber in the foods I am eating. This shouldn’t be too difficult for the app to do. It’s really important for people trying to track how much saturated fat they are having. For fiber, I’m supposed to have a higher ratio of soluble fiber. If I could see on my app how much soluble fiber i’ve had, it would make it so much easier than having to google everything and keep track separately.

Anyway my dietician rocks. I love her, but the app is nearly impossible and I hate using it!

### 2/5 — New update is terrible

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

The new updates make it very difficult to add anything to a previous day. It's buggy and when you click on things, nothing happens. it's super frustrating to use.

### 2/5 — How to go from 5 to 2 stars

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

Their recent attempts to shove AI into the experience are making the UI unreadable and daily tasks more difficult.
Formerly a very useful app that’s now annoying to use.

### 1/5 — Wtf

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

Whatever updates you just did, reverse them back. The app is covered in AI and so hard to work. BAD updates.

### 1/5 — Worst app update

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

The best thing about nourish was access to special individuals who could support you in becoming the best version. This app update makes it so much harder to communicate with my dietitian and harder to input information that I am less encouraged to track my progress. I have expressed this to my nutritionist and she has other individuals with the same grievances.

### 1/5 — Starts off promising, ends terribly.

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

APPARENTLY THE OPTION TO LOG MEALS HAS MAGICALLY DISAPPEARED AFTER USING THE APP FOR 80+ days.
This is ridiculous!!!!

### 4/5 — Helping

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

I love the app, but I do not like the newer updated one, it’s a little more confusing to use. Since starting on this weight-loss program with the help of my dietician I have lost 12lbs in 5.5 weeks!!!! The update is confusing but I’ll continue to work on it!

### 3/5 — LESS AI

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

Good for use with dietician. Bad for actual meal tracking and relies too much on AI assistant.

### 3/5 — Sync Battle

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

Pros: Log in foods, hydration, speak with nutritionist at no cost.

Cons: Inability to sync steps, activities, calories burned through anything other than Apple Health.

I own a FitBit, which has been acquired by Google Health. So my meetings with my nutritionist don’t have the correct information.

### 1/5 — New update is terrible.

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

Before the update this app was easy to use, track and monitor. Now the interface is not user friendly, it’s much more time consuming to find and add meals/items. It literally makes me not want to log my meals due to how much extra time it takes. Additionally, it’s hit or miss if you can pull an item up from your meal history to add again. I don’t get the push to make things clunkier and less user friendly for the sake of AI.

### 2/5 — Getting worse

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

Would given this app 5 stars 5 months ago. Every update has made logging my meals harder. I do not want an “AI” chat bot. And I don’t want to chat just to log a meal. I love that the app can interpret my recipes. But sometimes it now seems to desire a chat rather than calculate my nutrition

### 1/5 — Please go back to previous meal logging format

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

I was having a good experience using Nourish until now, but meal logging for the new update is incredibly painful. I do NOT want to have a drawn out convo with an LLM every time I log a meal and I don’t need the insights it shares. It takes way longer to do its analysis. This new process is clearly a huge extra AI waste of water - and analyzing my photos was bad enough before. The log meal button now is also hard to find and the UI in general is just extremely confusing.

Other general feedback. As someone with OCD and not the healthiest body image I do also generally find the required emphasis on meal by meal logging, calories, etc a little tiring. I know this is necessary for the way the app works now, but would love to have ways to mask some of these aspects while using the app so I don’t have to focus on them as much

### 1/5 — Terrible redesign

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

The app was pretty decent until the ai chatbot took over. Now every thing I log has to be a conversation with a chat bot. It’s no longer simple and quick to log a meal. It’s no longer simple to look at past logs and track progress. It’s messy, annoying, and not worth my time. I’ve been tired of the app getting overhauled every couple weeks but this last one has gone too far. You lost a customer. Let me know when you bring the old version back.

### 2/5 — Unnecessary Changes

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

I generally like this app, I don’t however like the new changes, its messier than before and less colorful

### 1/5 — Awful update!

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

Please whatever you recently did to the app where I can now only talk to ai is horrible. Put it back! Please! It’s so much harder to log food now. Before today’s update I would have given 4 stars but today, -1 😭

### 4/5 — App is Great, New UI is depressing

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

I’ve used the Nourish app for about three months and found it very helpful and insightful to track all my meals and see the macros of what I’ve actually been eating. It is definitely helped me change my eating habits for the better. However, I find the new user interface that rolled out in late August to be totally depressing. It is all monochromatic and makes me feel like I’m in food jail. I will still continue to use it, but honestly, they need to have an option for Colorful or Depressing. I miss the old UI.

### 1/5 — New update

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

It’s a “no” for me dog. This UI is terrible.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Missing the Old Version

*2026-08-30, version 1.37.0*

I agree with many of the recent reviews. The new update is absolutely horrible. I am about to stop using it as well. I eat many of the same items frequently (some daily) and you used to be able to choose from your recents but now I have to log each time. I also cannot adjust the quantity. If I have a sandwich, I have to log one piece of bread and then another. I want to continue using it but I am becoming more and more frustrated. And I really don’t care what AI has to say. It was wonderful before. I would really love if they would revert back to the old version. I absolutely love my dietician and I’ve been doing well with my eating habits but this app update is making me pull my hair out.

### 1/5 — New update not so good

*2026-08-30, version 1.37.0*

I am not liking the new update. It asks me to log hydration but the hydration tile is not there anymore. I find it much harder to use. Love the dietician but not the newly updated app.

### 1/5 — Now is unusable, thanks a lot

*2026-08-30, version 1.37.0*

This update removes functionality and usability, making it difficult if not impossible to use to actually track meals and macros. The focus on having a conversation with your AI and removing (or hiding exceptionally well) the ability for the AI to track and calculate from info and pics provided of nutrition panels and evaluating actual meal data it’s given is a fail. Inverting/reversing the sequence of what’s tracked on the home page is counterproductive at best. You had something quite good

### 1/5 — New Update, Poor Usability

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

These recent app updates keeps making logging meals more complicated than it needs to be. Why is ai chat at the forefront and why is it harder to do the only thing I need to do, log meals. I’m only using this app for the dietitian why is any of this necessary?

### 1/5 — Another app following bad trends

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

This app was functional, easy to work with, and far from confusing. Then someone decided to scrap all that for a redesign that makes me less likely to stick with nourish. It’s beyond awful. Why do developers keep finding a need to overhaul their apps to these garbage designs??

### 1/5 — New update too “AI”

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

The nourish app was incredible before the newest update. With the update, your defaulted to an AI chat to “talk about” your food. It’s incredibly Annoying. The original design was great and the AI was an option if needed. Having the default makes the experience annoying and now I don’t want to even use the app anymore.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

I don’t want to use this service anymore. Bad

### 1/5 — New Update

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

New update made it less user friendly to add meals. The new AI feature processing your meal feels pretty judgy. I thought old version was more user friendly. Now I’d rather go back to another app like My Fitness Pal.

### 1/5 — New App update sucks

*2026-08-29, version 1.37.0*

To start, the dietitian I work with is so kind and knowledgeable! This review has nothing to do with the program.

This review is about the app. The app allows you to take a picture or type in the items in paragraph form and AI determines what is present. You can assist it by typing in brand names. It will then generate a list of items and macros separately. However, the AI is slow and wrong 95% of the time. In the old version, you could select the food item from the paragraph and change the macros to match the packaging. You could also delete an item if AI added it. The new app combines ALL macros for the meal into 1 list. This is not helpful when people are trying to identify which items are adding to their specific macro goals. It also removes the ability to delete an item. It took Pepperidge Farmhouse hot dog bun and turned it into bun and porridge. I did not eat porridge, but had no way to remove it.

Now each item has to be added individually, the macros corrected individually, and it takes 3 to 4 times longer.

The old version wasn’t as great as others, but this version sucks. I’m not sure if I will be staying with the program after this update.

### 1/5 — New August Release Ruined It

*2026-08-28, version 1.37.0*

I had a 50 day streak logging meals in your app. It was the only app I used and it had some small nucance bugs in the UX but I was able to get around them. This morning I opened the app and it had a completely new layout all AI driven and logging each meal is now a complete unintuitive pain in the butt. Forcing me to use AI more than I want to and making it harder to log my repeated favorites. I’m going to start logging all of my meals in my Bevel app now and no longer use this app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to track

*2026-08-20, version 1.37.0*

I have never kept a food diary in my life until now and the added support of a dietician who bills to my insurance seals the deal. I love everything about this app, I just wish it synced to my Google health app instead fo the dumb apple health app as I wear a Fitbit fitness tracker.

### 5/5 — Pleasantly surprised!

*2026-08-18, version 1.37.0*

I just joined and I already have my first appointment set for my dietitian. And the app prompts for what I like and or what I want more information about. It has also given me some great Mel ideas to build my protein intake and how to meet target goals. So far very impressed!

### 5/5 — TOTAL SOLUTION

*2026-08-11, version 1.37.0*

This app sets you up for success and provides all aspects of support and tools you need to walk a weight loss and nutrition journey. Talking to a dietitian is KEY! Using the AI feature of taking a picture of my food while I’m eating out and the app being able to categorize that made it possible for me to track my food regularly.

### 5/5 — Nourish is an amazing company

*2026-07-24, version 1.36.0*

Having a personal dietitian and app completely covered by insurance seems too good to be true but it’s not. I love this company and the mission they stand for - seeking to improve the lives of people through holistic nutrition and lifestyle change.

### 5/5 — Food through the day!

*2026-07-23, version 1.35.0*

This is all new to me so it is an experience but liking it!

### 5/5 — It has everything in one place

*2026-07-23, version 1.35.0*

Incredible app, really amazing how you don’t have to leave the app to do anything you need to regarding tracking your health

### 5/5 — So helpful

*2026-07-23, version 1.35.0*

Everyone needs a Megan. Never thought I could get myself on track so quickly. I’m so grateful to this program!

### 5/5 — I love Nourish!

*2026-07-16, version 1.34.0*

I am absolutely loving the nourish app! The whole program is so awesome!!! Do yourself the favor and get signed up!

### 5/5 — Hopeful

*2026-07-15, version 1.34.0*

I’ve tried so many food tracking apps and eventually they all fail me or I fail to keep up with it. THIS app is a game changer for me. The tracking with added professional guidance and support makes me so hopeful that I will actually see progress and results. I decided to seek support recently after having trouble postpartum + post gallbladder surgery. My dietitian is very nice and knowledgeable. Giving me actionable short term steps that help us work towards my long term goals. I’m hopeful and excited!! Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Loving Nourish!

*2026-07-11, version 1.34.0*

The app is so easy to navigate and I found a great dietitian! Excited to see how this journey goes with Nourish.
