## What is Nova Ventures?

Nova Ventures is the companion app for your investment club.

Run your club from your phone: see the agenda before the meeting, vote on motions while they're live, follow the portfolio, and keep up with what the club is discussing between meetings.

MEETINGS
Every meeting's agenda, section by section, with each item's detail, attachments and outcome. Add a meeting to your calendar in a tap. See who's attending and mark yourself present.

VOTING
Motion and second an item from your seat. See what it takes to pass — simple majority, two-thirds, or ownership-weighted — before you cast. Vote while a session is live, retract before it closes, and see the result the moment it lands. Officers can open and close voting, record a ballot for a member who isn't there, and see how the room voted.

AGENDA ITEMS
Propose an item for an upcoming meeting. Officers review what's proposed and approve or return it, so the agenda is settled before anyone sits down.

PORTFOLIO
Club holdings, cash on hand, allocation and performance, with detail on every position.

MARKET NOTES
The research and recaps your club publishes, readable on the phone.

THE WALL
A place for the club to talk between meetings — post, comment, and keep officers' announcements pinned.

NOTIFICATIONS
Get told when a vote opens, a meeting moves, or someone posts. If you belong to more than one club, each one has its own switch, and tapping a notification takes you to the right club.

Nova Ventures is for members of existing investment clubs on the Nova Ventures platform. You'll need an account from your club to sign in.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-12

ADDED:
- The tabs tell you when something new is waiting. A Wall post, an approved agenda item, a new meeting or a vote puts a count on the tab it belongs to, and the count clears when you open that tab.
- Notifications have their own screen, one tap from the bell on Home. They used to be at the bottom of the Profile page. Profile still has your notification settings, and a shortcut to the same screen.
FIXED:
- The app icon now shows how many notifications are unread. The count was being reset to zero every time the app opened, so the badge was almost never there.
- Tapping an "agenda item approved" notification now opens Meetings. It used to do nothing.

ADDED:
- A rejected agenda item can be revised and resubmitted. Previously a rejection was a dead end on mobile — the submitter (or an admin) can now edit the item back to draft and put it forward again.
CHANGED:
- The Portfolio now shows the same totals as the web app. The summary comes from the server instead of being recalculated on the device, so the two can no longer disagree about the club's money.
FIXED:
- Market Notes read properly again. Opening a note showed raw formatting code around the text. Notes now show their headings, bullet lists and quotes the way they were written.
- Logging out now fully ends the session, even on a shared device. A request already in flight when you logged out could finish afterwards and write the previous member's data — the Wall, portfolio, notifications, club list, notification settings or course progress — into the next person's freshly signed-in session. Every one of those paths now checks that the session it started in is still the session it is writing to.
- Switching clubs no longer loads everything twice. Each screen fetches once per switch instead of firing duplicate requests.
- The Wall scrolls more smoothly. Post content is now parsed once and reused rather than re-parsed on every redraw.
- The pending-review badge reads the real total rather than counting a page of results, so it is correct past the first page and much cheaper for officers to load.
