You rack up coins but with that it’s still a money scheme!! I don’t understand why the chapter coins are so expensive, 75 coins for one chapter!! Stop being so money hungry and allow people to enjoy reading without these unnecessary payments!! A short novel (about 10 chapters ) has a price of 1,500 coins which is $15. I purchased 500 coins to determine if I would enjoy the book and pay the remainder. The notice was provided after the 500 coin purchase that because it was a “shorts” I couldn’t just read part of the book I now needed to purchase another 1000 coins. Other options were not available to read the short book or provide a refund. The conversation ended with them wishing me a great day and stated they can no longer assist me! ### 1/5 — Crazy you even charge! *2026-06-14, version 1.6.2* The “ so called books” are literally someone writing the same things in different words over and over again, no story line whatsoever but you charge as much as the other apps?? Honestly it’s robbery and should have some depth to the story that you start with until you pay them it’s trash. ### 1/5 — Lied. Stole Money. *2026-05-17, version 1.5.8* I paid for coins to read a book. Months later they started billing me $9.99 weekly with no authorization. I have reached out repeatedly to their support to cancel and be refunded. They took almost $40 without permission and provided no service for these funds. Beware of you download and pay for anything they’ll charge your card without authorization. ### 1/5 — Zu hohe Kosten! *2026-04-15* Ich bin per Social Media auf die App aufmerksam geworden und war schon von Anfang an skeptisch. Leider sind 90% der Leseapps, die dort beworben werden, Abzocke. Aber hier wurde der Bogen einfach überspannt. Ich konnte 7 Kapitel von meiner Story lesen und musste die folgenden mit Coins freischalten. An sich war die Geschichte super spannend und ich hätte gerne weiter gelesen, aber dafür sind mir die Preise einfach zu teuer. Ich dachte dann: "Komm, schau mal bei den monatlichen Abos nach, wo mach alle Bücher lesen kann", allerdings waren diese Kosten noch teuer. Ich bin gewillt 50-70€ im Jahr auszugeben (bzw. mache das schon bei einigen anderen Apps), aber 29,99€/Woche?! Oder aber man entscheidet sich für 240€/Jahr.... Also wirklich, diese Preise gehen gar nicht. Da kann das Buch (oder die Bücher) noch so gut sein, aber der Preis ist es nicht wert. Dann habe ich es irgendwie hinbekommen, dass ich auf einmal ein Angebot bekommen habe, wo es auf 19,99€/Woche reduziert war. Im klein gedruckten stand jedoch :"... Danach 29,99€/Woche" allerdings stand kein Zeitraum dabei, also alles schon irgendwie komisch. Zudem lese ich aus anderen Bewertungen, dass es unterschiedliche Preise gibt. Das beste war, als jemand geschrieben hat, dass derjenige 70€/Woche bezahlen sollte. Woran wird das denn festgemacht? Und was rechtfertigt die Preise? Das alles hat auch nichts mehr mit "Autoren unterstützen" zu tun. Da bleibe ich lieber bei meinen anderen Apps oder denke mir die Geschichte zu Ende. Geldverschwendung pur. MY COMMENTS WITH DATES AND OTHER PEOPLE’S AS WELL, HAVE BEEN DELETED. **********SCAM ALERT********** 2026-03-28 This book (Rise of the Silver Sentinel) has not been finished. Comments today show as 7 days, even though it was 3 days ago I saw them and they said 7 days then. I messaged customer support on 25 March and still no response, even though they stated a response would be given in 24 hours. Don’t read until you check how many chapters are there. Currently, there are 199, and there needs to be a lot more. Absolutely do not recommend using at all. 2026-04-01 The message at the app shows ‘pending’ as of just now. You gave this response to someone else in February. It is dishonest to have a book not only available but actively being advertised when you know it isn’t finished and have not notified people of this beforehand. The book should have a block and people who want to read to have to agree to understanding it is not finished and updates have no dates: that it’s open-ended. You had to purchase “coins” for chapter reads or watch “2 ads” which is actually 4 advertisements. Furthermore- you only get the ad option for 4 continuous chapters. Then blocked from the option for 6 hours. Read 2 chapters, slept 8+h overnight, read two more then was blocked! Knew these apps were garbage but I hoped for more here.
