However that is not the case and I won’t pay a subscription simply to read stories that have lots of errors etc. so now I’m stuck not being able to read an awesome story line because of false advertising. I don’t mind watching a few ads like I do on other platforms but this is… ridiculous. Too bad../ ### 1/5 — Any novel *2026-06-29* $$$ put. No end. No transparency in how many chapters, how much it costs. Up to a certain point, it says 98 chapters then nothing. I scrolled through and there are 121…. So far! I’m not sure how this is ethical. And they only show you it’s 100 or so coins when you need to top up, but the chapters are actually 200+ coins! It’s not okay. I’m disappointed and will be deleting. Don’t waste your money. ### 2/5 — Expensive *2026-06-29* I loved the book I was reading and signed up for the monthly subscription. I finally did all the calculations- if I purchased all the chapters my monthly subscription did not cover, I would be paying over $300 to read one book (that still isn’t finished). If I tried to read the book using the monthly subscription it would take over 2 years to read it. It’s sad because the book is really good and I would definitely buy it, and every single sequel, from the bookstore, an online platform, or anywhere else besides this style of app. **Developer response:** 1. Also these aren’t necessarily published works so you run into poor quality, errors, etc. at this point watt pad is at least free. Sucks because they do have some really good concept stories that I can’t find in a legitimate format ### 1/5 — They are out of their minds!! *2026-06-25, version 2.1.6* Wayyy too expensive to read a mediocre story. I have 200 chapters left and it would cost me unheard of amounts of money. Just to finish 50 chapters it would be $70.. So to finish the book, it would cost me $368. One book for over $400 bc I have already paid into it not knowing that it was 333 chapters. No book is worth that much money. Please, don’t fall for this scam. ### 1/5 — Ok stories … WAY TOO EXPENSIVE *2026-06-25, version 2.1.6* The story was interesting so I opt’ed for a monthly subscription. Only got about 10% of the book for my trouble and that was hours into the first day. You can literally buy 6 actual hardcover novels for what it costs to read one story. Complete scam! ### 1/5 — No updates on any of the novels … is the app broken? *2026-06-17, version 2.1.6* It’s been a few weeks and I’ve noticed no updates on any of the novels but on other platforms, updates on the same novels are being released/published. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2026-06-17, version 2.1.6* The app has decent stories but its coin packages are outrageous and every chapter is 100+ coins, it’s literally ridiculous. Needs better options because your literally paying over $100+ for a story, might as well just buy books. ### 2/5 — Too expensive *2026-06-14, version 2.1.6* The stories I have started are good but the problem is it would cost $300 to finish the book I’m reading right now. That’s unacceptable. If they want to do a monthly fee for full access, I can understand that - but the monthly fee doesn’t even cover enough coins to finish one book. These predatory apps should be banned. ### 1/5 — It’s horrible!! *2026-06-13, version 2.1.6* Don’t use this app. I wasted $20 for a monthly subscription and realized that you just buy coins with it. They are so many other apps that give you unlimited access to the story for $20 and this app is designed exactly like them but does have the unlimited subscription. For avid readers, we blow through coins. It took me an hour to do it. Ugh, such a scam. It sucks because the story was good and now I can’t finish it because I’m not paying $100s of dollars for a book. Worst $20 I have ever spent. I hate myself that I got suckered into it. ### 4/5 — Points *2026-06-11, version 2.1.6* I love the stories and would be hooked but to get points it’s ridiculous, and the cost per chapter is insane. I wish they offered watching an ad or two to be able to unlock the chapter like other apps offer. ### 1/5 — Expensive *2026-06-09, version 2.1.6* I am not done with one book and I’m already over $100 in. I’m chapter 98 of a 200+ book. I can’t afford to keep buying coins. I also didn’t receive 2 of my payments through pay pal. I sent a feedback thing and nothing was returned or credited back. The stories are good but not worth it. Update: purchased coins and they finally came to my account after a week I used PayPal and it goes through as a eCheck so it has to clear the bank before they put the coins into account. Even though it took it out of my account same day. Still too expensive. ### 2/5 — Just use apps with unlimited chapters with subscription. *2026-05-29, version 2.1.6* Honestly don’t even bother with this app having to pay over $100 for not even 150 chapters of one books it straight up insane and a scam. Some chapters are almost 300 coins the authors should be ashamed charging that much. They ended up charging my card for 200 worth of unauthorized charges. Dont even have the app on my phone anymore and they continue to charge my card. Also now sending you out of app to a web page ad, then makes you watch ad to get back into app. Oh, and most of the stories are “ongoing” but not getting any new chapters …., ### 1/5 — Pricing *2026-08-05, version 2.2.2* This app is wildly overpriced and the amount of money you pay for a months subscription to not get everything available is actually ridiculous. To only have a set amount of coins on a months subscription considering what you pay is ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Too Expensive Compared to Other Apps *2026-08-01, version 2.2.2* There are a few great books in here. I had a weekly subscription with unlimited reading and made the mistake of cancelling it. Now I don’t see an option for unlimited reading. The coin packages are way too much and the chapters take a lot of coins to unlock. The chapters in this app cost 3-4 times more than chapters in other apps. Now you get one or two chapters and have to pay to read any more each day. Very frustrating. Bring back the ability to watch adds to get chapters and this would be great again. ### 1/5 — Unhappy *2026-07-24* Top of the list for things to know. If you purchase a bunch of points they are going to charge you more per chapter then they ever do if you just do whatever daily to earn points. They have charged me 121 for one chapter and 106 yet if just use daily points the most they charge is 99. I spent more than a book was worth because I wanted to read it. Meanwhile when I did what I needed to do to earn points to read part of it this App cheated me out of points. No chapter has cost more than 99 points up u til now but because I waited and let the points add up they charged me extra. For the chapter I just unlocked they charged me 121 points!!! What a ripoff. That’s not the only time but this time I watched the points each chapter so I would know how much they stole. I will finish this story but that will be it. Either get more reasonable or hopefully get ignored by all. Looks they will not let me post this review because they don’t like it. Another issue where they ripped me off which means they will do it to you also. I counted how many games I would need to play to get the points I needed to read the next chapter. I played those games which were 8 I played. I only got credit for 5. I’m just trying to finish this one story and they keep cheating me out of points whenever they want. Purposely don’t read the next chapter to see what would happen, guess we know. What a scam. You can clearly see the amount of people that say how grossly expensive it is. Their response is “visit the rewards page”. HA, I do that daily, yesterday I collected my rewards and had 643, this morning I woke up to collect again and I’m down to 598. I didn’t even read anything to have used them. Don’t give these scammers any of your hard earned money, they can’t even be honest with the rewards you earned! However when you get into a good story it is expensive to unlock more chapters and content. I do wish they had a better member options with and unlimited weekly like other platforms.
