It’ll say the first week is $0.99 and the weeks after is $9.99. It charges you $9.99 at the very beginning and doesn’t even give you the books to read. It tells you to purchase the subscription again! I’m trying to get my refund and so far no luck. This is a ripoff and I never leave reviews but I’m so upset. The book I’m reading is on a different app and I can actually read it this time. It’s the only app doing this and I already tried restarting the phone with no success. Not worth the hassle *2021-01-07* I decided to give it a go and buy the yearly subscription since it’s the cheapest option, but a week into reading it’s telling me to pay again. I already paid for the year, so why would you tell me to repurchase? Makes no sense. Stories were mediocre at best. I’m canceling my membership. Hopefully I can find the book on one of the other apps. And for the prices charges that’s also insane. I knew I should have reviews before I paid seems like almost every single person has the same issue over paying a terrible app And poor service. I won’t be giving any good reviews when I’m asked by friends that’s for sure. Have a good day;) ### 2/5 — Wattpad reigns supreme *2020-12-21* All the books I checked out had 4-10 chapters free and then you have to subscribe for $10 a week to unlock. It’s way more expensive than wattpad premium, plus you can read some good books on wattpad for free. I get people trying to make money but these are so expensive and there’s no option for people to read for less. Some of the books have harsh complaints in the reviews about the translation being poor, grammar and spelling being bad. You shouldn’t have to pay money to read poorly written books. ### 1/5 — 9.99 a week *2020-12-18* I was really getting into a story then find I have to paid 10pounds a week just to read that’s a ridiculous amount to pay a week for a few books to read it’s madness not worth the download and I’m disappointed ### 1/5 — If I could give 0 stars I would. *2020-12-10* It’s not often I do a review of an app. However if you pay for unlimited reading for a period of time I expect to get unlimited reading. Second I opted to give it a change and do the subscription anyway to give it a try and after HOURS of waiting to try and read the next page of a book I want to read after I paid for the subscription it is still telling that i need to purchase it. Even though the bulk of the writing you come across is absolutely deplorable, I still thought I would give this a chance and see if any of it got better- Smh. I was initially excited for an unlimited reader but I’m feeling like I’ve been taken for a ride with my money and that is really upsetting. What needs to be done. There is no website to report issues with the app ### 1/5 — False advertising *2022-09-09, version 1.7.0* I saw an add for a book on this app advertised as all chapters free. That is not true from chapter 7 and onward they wanted me to pay. The book was The Last Lycan. Nope, charging $10.76 weekly. Can’t find a way to cancel. I’ve tried canceling through Novelful, App Store, Apple services. Today I cancelled my PayPal auto payments for Apple to stop it. I’m sure that’s going to be a big hassle. And for all this, I tried to read one book. Which once past the initial free portion, started sounding like a 14 yr boy wrote it. Sticking with Kindle Unlimited. ### 1/5 — Wrong information *2022-08-02* I saw a book being advertised and when I went to look for the book that was named I could not locate it and when I started looking through books within the same gene the descriptions don’t match to the book I’m looking for ### 1/5 — The grammar/editing is HORRIFIC *2022-06-10* Not worth your time or money. EVERY story I tried to read (a total of 12) were not at all or very poorly edited. Some of the story concepts were good, BUT the misspelling and the constant mistakes in the stories, made it difficult to enjoy reading it. I was very disappointed and kept thinking maybe the next story will be better written, but no, none of the books I tried to read were written well. I couldn’t finish any book because of it. Reaching out to feedback is useless as it takes forever to respond and the fix is only temporary if it is fixed only to run into the issue the following week. They don’t refund your money; I paid for a subscription I can’t use. Better off with the hundreds of others that won’t rob you blind ### 1/5 — Don’t purchase this app you’ll get ripped off *2021-12-07* After months of waiting after numerous requests for help in using the feedback of the app, I finally got a response from Apple when I did a scathingly negative review in the App Store asking me to resubmit feedback using the Novelful app. It only took them over 5 months to respond. Only problem is that everything in my version of the app is gone now and I’m certainly not going to renew a subscription to a company that basically stole my money. Here’s my response to them … I would love to however my subscription expired and I can’t see any of the feedback I sent to Novelful before … everything is gone. I’m not going to renew as I had just renewed before I changed phones. I basically got ripped off of a $79 subscription I paid for by their lack of response or help. I wonder how many other people they’ve screwed like this? Seems that lack of response and failed subscriptions is a common problem with this app when I look at the feedback in the Apple / iTunes Store. I already paid for a subscription. And now it’s telling me I have no network connection. I have tried on both WiFi and just data and I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I just want to read the book. Please fix this.
