The iPhone app is a different story. The layout appears to be built for iPad and desktop widths and never reflows for a phone screen. Panels overflow horizontally, the editor toolbar gets cut off at the edge, and chapter and note text runs underneath the keyboard when it opens. Tapping into a chapter often means scrolling sideways to find controls that should be on screen. I can’t draft or even review a chapter without fighting the interface. Until the phone layout is fixed, this is an iPad app that happens to install on an iPhone. ### 2/5 — It’s a great website, but the app… *2026-08-30* Don’t get me wrong, this is a great writing tool. However the app is super buggy. I spent a good amount of time trying to actually log in. The way to actually edit your work also has issues. Words are cut off, and you can barely click on buttons. Please fix this, I enjoy using this tool. ### 3/5 — Issues with ability to do… things *2026-08-15* I love this site, super cool! But I spent about half an hour writing details for the first character I wanted to add… only to not be able to. There is no button to ‘create character’ on mobile, even though it lets you fill in the details for one. Or at least, the button isn’t showing up. I tapped everything on screen before eventually resorting to the ‘X’ and praying it would save. It didn’t. So now I’m irritated, even though this app seems really promising! I hope a solution to this issue is found soon. ### 1/5 — Won’t start *2026-08-05* No matter which doc I try to upload, it keeps telling me it failed. I can’t start writing because of it ### 1/5 — Not compatible with ipo e *2026-08-04* Honestly, this is really good on desktop, but it does not work well for iPhone. She is not compatible with it. It is not formatted correctly so when you try to create new characters or new roles, it doesn’t give you the ability to say because you can’t scroll down anymore. It is not formatted properly in the fact that the keyboard gets in the way of what you’re actually typing or overlapping so you can’t see it again this is a great desktop, but it is very poorly formatted for iPhone. ### 5/5 — Executive Dysfunction’s Kryptonite *2026-08-04* I can’t say enough good things about this platform. I love the world codex and seeing my character sheets. I love the beta reader function. I love the reader interface. I can write with all of my tools or go into focus mode when my ADHD has hands. Truly makes writing feel more accessible and I can’t thank the dev team enough! ### 1/5 — Unusable on IOs *2026-07-19* I'm in the world building phase. The desktop/website version works dreamily on PC. But on iPhone, the App's header comes too far down. When I tap on a text field to enter a value, I have to type blind because some mysterious black box rises above the keyboard (and I can't scroll down to get rid of it) which blocks me from seeing what I'm typing. ### 5/5 — Definitely Worth Trying *2026-07-11* I have to gush about this because I’m honestly blown away. I've been using the web based program for the last month and it's amazing! I'm thrilled to see the founder finally created an app! On the topic of the founder, you can tell he actually cares about writers. He listens to feedback, implements suggestions, and isn’t just trying to get rich quick. That alone already sets it apart. But the program itself? Seriously impressive. There’s a consistency guardian that catches things I would’ve missed completely, a World Codex that updates itself as you write, and a ton of thoughtful tools woven in. They even give you a built‑in author website and are super transparent about how their AI works. And don’t worry—there are no features that write for you. It’s just grammar and spell checking plus smart analysis that helps you keep your story clean and coherent. If you’re an author of any kind—new, experienced, indie, trad—this is worth trying. I’m honestly obsessed. ### 5/5 — Love this app *2026-07-08* I am able to keep all of my chapters in one place, create temporary links for beta readers, the Ai creates a codex of all of my characters and their descriptions, and so much more. ### 5/5 — A Writer’s Best Friend *2026-07-07* I’ve been using Novelium on the web & my PC for months now, and I’m thrilled to see the iOS app launch!!!
