I’ve let the charge go through a few times to see if they stop. And they don’t. Do NOT put your card information or use this app. SCAM SCAM SCAM ### 3/5 — Novelix *2026-06-11, version 1.2.1* Good stories, but have to go through a lot to complete a story. Should be simple flat rate for each story. Shouldn’t have to go through all the ads. Have to contact my bank to stop it ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-06-08, version 1.2.1* I’ve been emailing and contacting novelix team since march 22nd. They keep charging me for a subscription I didn’t even subscribe to . After countless emails it is June and still no response and there is no way to even access the subscription even if I tried to cancel on my own. This is terrible , this is a horrible scam!!! ### 1/5 — Scam scam scam *2026-06-06, version 1.2.1* They are a scam business. They won’t cancel a subscription and will keep charging you money. The email they say to email the request doesn’t work and is also a scam. ### 1/5 — Impossible to cancel payments! *2026-06-05, version 1.2.1* 1star as I’ve been trying to cancel this subscription since February. The account changes immediately to a new name everytime you press cancel subscription in the app. Apple Store don’t log the subscription payments so can’t cancel there. Email doesn’t go anywhere at all I’ve lost over £150 since Febuary. The bank only did a temp stop but it’s now restated paying out again. It’s a con!! ### 1/5 — scam *2026-06-04* cannot cancel and they keep trying to charge my bank account multiple times in one week despite already charging the price. Horrible. Won’t even let me access my subscription that I now have paid for multiple times. If you want to read good stories go to inkitt. It’s free. And the stories are better, honestly. These apps are a rip off. Who wants to pay all that money to read the same story over and over with slight variations? Don’t waste your money. ### 1/5 — FRAUD/SCAM *2026-05-31, version 1.2.1* They will attract you with offers to read their books (that are great) and keep charging you even if you don’t have a subscription. Then they change to another name (first it was Novelove then it was Novelix). They dont answer to attempt to contact them (emails and in-app) while still charging for something I never asked and that I don’t have access to. Very disappointing. Found a non-raunchy but interesting book and came to the app to watch ads and read a chapter (more like a few paragraphs) a day. But it went missing randomly and turned into some weird book. Deleted the app ### 3/5 — The points review *2026-05-28* I feel like this app would be top-tier. If we didn’t have to subscribe just to read a story. I feel like this app would be top-tier if I could actually just watch ads instead of having to read articles and buy points and coupons if I could just watch videos to earn that that would be better. I feel like this app would be top-tier if it had more options for us to actually earn our points and coupons rather than just buy them and subscribe at that point this is really like a two star one star app because why the story might be good sometimes and the grammar might be good. Sometimes the fact that we still have to subscribe or make a subscription or just buy coins back to back to back makes this app whack. ### 1/5 — Do not use *2026-05-28, version 1.2.1* Definitely a scam - the subscription doesn’t even show up in the App Store and is impossible to cancel! I paid 2.99 for a one time fee and dthey keep charging 14.99 weekly without consent. There is no way to xancel it nor a way to get in contact with them !! Had to call the bank to block the charges !! Don not get this app !!! ### 1/5 — Can’t cancel!! *2026-05-27, version 1.2.1* STOP TAKING MONEY OUT MY ACCOUNT, FOR FAKE SUBSCRIPTIONS ### 1/5 — COMPLETE SCAM! *2026-05-24, version 1.2.1* Did not even sign up for this and they have charged my account. Currently disputing charges. Interestingly I am having the exact same issue with the company novelove and just managed to block them from charging new third new card! As soon as novelove was blocked then all of a sudden I was charged by novelix. Makes me think they are a linked entity scamming users and using the other account if customers manage to finally block their unauthorised charges. These 2 apps also do not show up in any subscription links such as wallet, apple or google. Biggest scam I have been a part of. ### 1/5 — No response *2026-05-23, version 1.2.1* Have sent multiple requests to cancel this subscription because the app doesn’t allow you to do so. I’ve received no response and they’re still trying to charge my card every week. ### 1/5 — Fraud! *2026-05-22, version 1.2.1* I keep being charged for a subscription I cancelled the same day I got it. I had time to cancel a 3 day subscription which is 3.99$ they are charging me every week 14.99$!!! Don’t make the same mistake ! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Big NOPE. *2026-07-20* Just cancel your card and get a new one, reaching out won’t help you no matter what email they give and I wouldn’t trust them enough to delete my account with their terms so they’d stop taking out the money after precious reviews and comments to stop auto-renewing and trying to cancel when it doesn’t show on the app or setting and you can’t even press to see on the app itself. ### 1/5 — Horrible Scam- DO NOT USE *2026-07-08* I wrote a review explaining why the app was horrible. You’re unable to cancel. They continue to charge even after emailing and then when you send the information they send a standard response repeating the same thing. I don’t have user information because it doesn’t show up in my Apple subscriptions so you cannot follow the directions that they’ve given. I provided screenshots of transaction IDs in the transaction attempts and still get the same canned response. I will be opening a fraud claim with my bank. I received a developer response to my previous review and I can’t even comment on it because it doesn’t show up! Beyond frustrating ### 1/5 — Refuse to cancel subscription *2026-07-06, version 1.2.1* Would give zero stars if I could. Impossible to cancel subscription. Say they can’t find it and cannot find details of payments being made. Nothing appearing in Apple. I’ve had to go through my bank, this should not be allowed ### 1/5 — Watch the payments *2026-06-26, version 1.2.1* This unscrupulous company charges for 3 days and then fraudulently tries to take out $16.99 on a daily basis. They don’t respond to you, be very careful and watch the payments coming out of the account ### 1/5 — Terrible App, Terrible People *2026-06-25, version 1.2.1* Never got to use the VIP benefits after my $2.99 three day trial ended and they wouldn’t cancel my subscription until I threatened to put them in for fraud with my credit card company. But then they all of a sudden couldn’t find my subscription and asked for the first 6 digits of my card number, my full legal name, & the email address attached to it. Well I ended up putting a fraud stop on my card and now I have to wait for my new card to come in and then I get to find all the great accounts that are connected to it. These people suck and are crooks - DO NOT GET THIS APP ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE *2026-06-25, version 1.2.1* DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. IVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL FOR 3 KONTHS NOW. I’ve emailed Novelix and went through every channel to end it and they are still charging my account $14.99 a week. I have also sent screenshots of my ID and such and they still send the same response as if there’s nothing they can do, when all the details have been given and sent. I will have to open a dispute with my bank pertaining to Novelix because $60 is being taken away from me almost every month and I’ve been trying to cancel since March. This is now July almost and they just took another charge as of 6/18. Do not subscribe!!
