The founder was very helpful in making things right. I really appreciate the support and the extra month they provided. So, I have changed my rating accordingly. That’s when I found out about Novli and honestly is the best thing because not only does it have pinyin but also direct translation, audios, flashcards for words and it explains words u don’t understand. It explains the vocabulary, and you can also use flashcards. When I log in using the same Gmail, it shows free member in my iPad. How do I study just with my small screen iPhone? I sent email to founders that said “we read every email”, yet, I didn’t get any reply. So, when I try to get refund, mine got rejected. This all just happened within 1 day of my subscription. And this is not my first time subscription. If you don’t give me premium membership access to my iPad, give my refund back. It’s such a waste of time reaching out to you and not getting any response back for such access issue. I feel so dissatisfied and disappointed when such issue happened and there’s no timely solution from the app side. ### 1/5 — Too many errors *2025-10-13* When I try to use AI translator to translate the flash card automatically it always shows “something went wrong - error”, so I have to close the app and open it again, it’s way too annoying, especially mentioning that it’s not a free version. Also the first texts was translated normally like word by word, but now it’s letter by letter, so the 汉字 doesn’t make the whole words, they are translated one by one and you can’t just add the flash card simply by pressing the word. Also, you can try premium free for 7 days, cancel anytime with no cost. I also bought the premium version because I think 4€ a month is still okay. However I wish that you could scan more than one page at once since I wanna have the whole article/ story in one scan. I think you also can’t merge two scans together? If I scan a double page at once, ai sometimes makes mistakes with the translation as it can’t see all words clearly. It would also be great if you can move already scanned texts into new folders to organise your learning material better. In the future I hope there will be better mistake analysis for the AI translation and maybe a few more functions. For example correction for your own written texts. App is extremely well polished, feature rich and helped me increase my chinese a lot within just days! Every time someone scans, uses translation etc, it costs me money, so I made it a paid app to ensure I can cover my costs. I am not a big company, it's just me and my girlfriend running Novli from our personal savings, so we need to make it paid at this early stage unfortunately. In the future, I would love to make more features free though.
