I have subscribed to a plan, but I would now like to cancel it. However, I cannot find any option to do so either in the app or in the App Store. If this issue is not resolved promptly and my subscription is not canceled, I will have to contact consumer protection. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2026-04-02, version 5.1.0* Do not install! Once you buy a vip weekly subscription you can’t cancel it! You have to go through your bank. They don’t answer when you contact. When I did my subscription I didn’t even have an account made. It is impossible to cancel the subscription I’ve tried everything and even my bank has said they can’t cancel it either. The subscription doesn’t show up where it should in iOS settings and can’t be found to be cancelled so the money continues to be taken. I like the stories but it literally cost so much JUST for a chapter. I literally tried to go to the next chapter thinking it’s like those k drama apps 50 coins but no. It’s 150 and it’s so hard to earn like I’m not watching 6 ads just to read ONE chapter. If anything I would do 50 with how short they are. This app is literally trash.. maybe if they fixed how much it cost, made it more affordable for people who don’t wanna pay and generally made the chapters longer.. maybe I would give it a chance. ### 1/5 — SCAM DO NOT PURCHASE *2026-03-18, version 5.1.0* The app will not allow you to cancel the subscription and you have to contact the company of your payment method to dispute it. The app is a scam making it impossible to cancel a subscription it takes you right to apple subscription to cancel but made you purchase through PayPal. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP ### 1/5 — NÃO BAIXEM ESSE APP DE LEITURA *2026-06-18* Assinei o NovRead em 29/04/2026 e, ao perceber que se tratava de uma assinatura semanal, tentei cancelá-la. Publiquei um comentário informando minha intenção de encerrar o serviço, mas o comentário desapareceu da plataforma. Também deletei minha conta e desinstalei o aplicativo. A assinatura não aparecia na área de assinaturas da Apple, impossibilitando o cancelamento por esse meio. Mesmo após essas ações, continuaram ocorrendo tentativas de cobrança recorrente. Precisei entrar em contato com o Nubank, que bloqueou meu cartão virtual por segurança. Posteriormente descobri uma autorização de cobrança recorrente ativa no PayPal e só consegui interromper as tentativas de cobrança cancelando-a manualmente. Esta foi minha segunda tentativa de resolver o problema. Considero o processo de cancelamento pouco transparente e deixo este relato para alertar outros usuários. Mesmo após excluir minha conta e remover o aplicativo, as cobranças continuaram sendo geradas até que eu localizasse e cancelasse a autorização diretamente no PayPal. ### 1/5 — App Stopped Working *2026-06-17, version 5.1.0* The app stopped working for me. Constantly just says “session expired” “internet error”. It’s this way for me with all the Cantree apps not just NovRead, but this is the app I had a constant subscription with. ### 1/5 — Don’t do it. *2026-05-13, version 5.1.0* They get you to pay for the weekly subscription for their toddler written books, then make it impossible to cancel the subscription and ignore all attempts to reach out to them. I have contacted my bank at this point to file multiple disputes as they’re STILL ignoring me. ### 1/5 — SCAM - DO NOT DOWNLOAD *2026-05-09, version 5.1.0* DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR SUBSCRIBE! I wish I saw the reviews before I got this app. They don’t have a way for you to cancel your subscription, it doesn’t even show up on subscription list. I had to physically go to my bank to get this dealt with. Ich muss jetzt mit Paypal alles klären. ### 1/5 — Scam. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! *2026-04-29, version 5.1.0* Don’t do it. There is no way to cancel your subscription other than canceling the payment. If you use PayPal you will need to go under your automatic payments and cancel from there.
