I don’t see the point of having an app if it’s impossible to log in to it. Having tried for several months I started to wonder if Novuna even exists anymore. If it wasn’t for the fact they keep taking money from me I’d have believed they went out of business. Fix this or delete it because it’s pretty pointless otherwise! ### 1/5 — Face ID never works - Pointless Frustration *2025-07-23, version 2.0.6* Really frustrating app. Even though I’ve set it up to use Face ID, it constantly asks me to log in with my password instead. Makes it a hassle just to quickly check my account—defeats the point of convenience. Not impressed. ### 1/5 — Crashes and no login *2025-03-04* App constantly crashes and no matter how many times you reset your password you will never be able to login anyway as says wrong information ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-02-06* This app is truly terrible. I cannot get logged in at all and I am constantly resetting my password which doesn’t work and shuts me back out the account. This is not acceptable for an app that manages finances. Please fix the errors as there are reviews dating back four years with the same issues. ### 1/5 — Messages Don’t Work *2024-06-02* I’ve sent several messages via the app and received replies but can’t view them on either the app or the website… Unsure as to why. ### 1/5 — Making moves behind customers backs *2023-12-05* Purchased a computer and they moved first payment to next year (after 12 month) if the item would have been purchased in the 2 years than it’s a small interest rate if its after 2 years then the interest rate skyrocket they move the first payment on purpose ### 1/5 — Awful UI *2023-09-19, version 2.0.4* The log in process is a pain if you forget your details - Just do what GMail do. ### 1/5 — it simply doesn’t work *2023-05-04, version 2.0.4* the app doesn’t work the website doesn’t work - no complaints about loan but i cannot get in touch to pay off balances - hopeless ### 1/5 — Can’t get into my account *2023-04-15* This app is quite simply not fit for purpose, any company that cannot provide a usable app in this day and age is definitely one to avoid in the future, which is exactly what I’m going to do when my balance is cleared. **Developer response:** Sorry for the trouble you are experiencing with our app. For further assistance, please email us at CustomerService@novunapersonal finance.co.uk with iOS App Review in the subject title and including your Novuna agreement number. We will then be able to investigate this for you. ### 1/5 — Won’t work *2023-02-25* Tried to settle my loan on the app. Wouldnt work. Kept telling me to try later or contact Novuna. So I tried that and got cut off in conversation 3 times! First time agent didn’t even bother to ring me back. Second time the agent did but got cut off again and he didn’t ring back, so I was left over the weekend unable to pay off the loan, whilst the amount owed went up each 24 hours. Very poor app/service. ### 1/5 — Not the best app *2022-12-10* Pure review of the app, IOS When registering the app doesn’t scroll up fully on parts so the keyboard covers the area your typing so you can’t actually see until you hit go The log in by touch doesn’t work So have to log in manually If I get a standard response we are sorry we try hard blah blah blah then it’s a robot response. ### 1/5 — Scam Website do not touch *2022-12-06, version 2.0.2* I believe this site and app is fraudulent do not go near it. They are just harvesting details and passwords ### 1/5 — Amateur App *2022-11-15, version 2.0.2* Can't set up the Direct Debit, can't save debit card for future payments, window inside the app popping out saying "install the app". It's horrible app ### 1/5 — I wouldn’t borrow from them again! *2022-08-10* I used this company to finance new double glazing. The company I changed it’s name and that added an additional loan to my credit score, despite me having no new loan! Additionally it took me about 4 months of daily phoning to sort out how to make additional payments to the account, without being charged for allegedly not making any payments despite overpaying by 50% every month! ### 1/5 — Changed without my consent *2022-07-03* Changed companies and passed my details without my consent nor did they notify me that they were changing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Recent update *2026-08-14* App forced me to update and now I can’t even log in. Keep getting a ‘error signing in’ message when all details are correct - absolutely useless. ### 1/5 — No longer able to use *2026-08-13* Previous app worked really well able to keep o. Top of finances and check repayments and balances. However since the app updated the next button is too low down on the screen and I am unable to now select the next button to log in you have to scroll all the way down try and pull the screen up and select next at the same time which you are unable to do ### 1/5 — Update ruined the app *2026-08-05* I was enjoying the app until the recent update. Now I can’t get back in to the app and trying to reset password or PIN number is saying error logging in. Not a happy customer. **Developer response:** Hi, sorry to hear that you're having issues after updating. This may be due to a sizing issue. We're working on a fix. For the time being, you could try reducing your phone's text size (Settings>Display>Font Size) or turning off Easy Mode as from some testing this has fixed the issue in some cases. If you need to change any details, Such as new passwords or PIN, it’s a nightmare to navigate. Horrible. ### 1/5 — Constantly logs me out *2026-05-20, version 2.0.7* This stupid app constantly logs me out. And for some reason, every time this happens I’m forced to reset the password. Impossible login / registration process. Tried four times inc deleting and redownloading - and gave up n ### 1/5 — Face ID is broken and the PIN system is a nightmare *2026-02-09* Don’t bother with this app if you value your time or sanity. Despite "enabling" Face ID every single time I log in, the app ignores it and forces me back to a manual login every time it closes. To make matters worse, they use an outdated, randomized PIN entry system that feels like a chore from twenty years ago. In an era of seamless biometrics, Novuna’s tech is clunky, frustrating, and behind the times. I’m moving my business elsewhere to a company that actually understands modern UX. Just to clarify, Face ID can be enabled by going into phone settings, apps, select Novuna App and ensure Face ID is toggled on. It’s also very user-friendly and very simple. ### 5/5 — Great app *2025-03-12* I think this app is great. My DDs have never failed. Making changes is so easy. It’s like would never have to call unless was struggling financially but even then there’s an option to say you are struggling. There’s option to pay remainder balance and they do show you can pay without paying interest. Which is just great. Not overcharging customers sneakily. This is a loan for a laptop from PC specialist. The only thing I don’t like is that that’s no option to increase my dd amount. To lower interest paying off in a year vs 3 years. And wasn’t given option to choose any other option. Felt forced into that option PC specialist is great value and decent computers and friendly service. This might just be for me though I feel lucky still to get a credit agreement at all. Overall, the app is great. Not sure if people have bad experiences years ago or whether the company has issues because I genuinely feel app is great. Better than my bank.
