## What is Now Batting?

Players love walking up to a song they know. Wait till they walk up to one that says their name.

Now Batting does both.

You showed up with the speaker. You've got the lineup before the coach does. You're the Chief Hype Officer — and Now Batting is the walk-up song app built for you.

THE BASICS, NAILED
Walk-up songs that hit right where you want them. Pick any song from Apple Music, set the exact moment it kicks in, and tap once on game day — the song plays, an announcer calls the player by name and number.

THEN IT GOES FURTHER
Now Batting doesn't just play a song — it can write one. Tell it a few things about a player, pick a genre, and it composes an original walk-up song with their name and number right in the lyrics.

EVERYTHING YOU CAN DO
• Walk-up songs — from Apple Music, dropped right where you want them.
• Announcer intros — three ways: tap once for a ready-made call, write your own, or BYO.
• Original walk-up songs — composed for a player, their name in the lyrics.
• A team hype song — one original song that names your whole squad.
• The Roll Call — your whole lineup announced before first pitch, every player by name, big-league style.
• The Bullpen — pitching change? Tap. Your pitchers deserve an entrance too.
• Live Score Call — swipe up, tap the score, tap announce. "Top of the third, Dragons two, Eagles one." Live, from the bleachers.
• The classics — air horn, home run siren, charge and stomp.

AS DEEP AS YOU WANT. NONE OF IT HARD.
Tap a ready-made intro, or write every word yourself. Pick a song, or have one composed. There's a quick path and a custom path for everything — you choose how far you go, and none of it takes a sound engineer.

BUILT FOR THE FIELD
Download your audio before you leave home and it plays with no signal — every walk-up and sound fires the instant you tap. The app flags anything missing before first pitch, not during it. And the hand-off takes seconds — share your lineup call, no app required on their end.
Now Batting works for baseball, softball, t-ball, and any team with a batting order. Manage multiple teams in one app.

REQUIREMENTS
iPhone with iOS 15.1 or later. An Apple Music subscription is required for full-length walk-up song playback. A Bluetooth speaker is recommended for game day.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
Now Batting offers two annual subscriptions: Dedicated Chief Hype Officer ($9.99/year) and Headliner Chief Hype Officer ($24.99/year). New subscribers to the Dedicated plan get a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. ### 5/5 — Easy, fun and energizing

*2026-07-16*

Love how simple and customizable it is. The kids (and parents) love it. It sounds way better than Ballpark DJ.

The standouts are:

-Ease of use and pleasant viewing interface

-The Roll Call feature that announces the lineup before the game.

-Custom songs with each kids name in it. That has been fun to play pregame or between innings.

-The soundboard with tabs for fun sounds when a foul ball is hit (breaking glass or skidding car) and sirens for a home run. Really keeps the fun and energy up!

### 5/5 — A must have for every Little League team.

*2026-06-26*

This app is awesome! The kids absolutely love picking their walkup songs, some a little too much. 😉 As a little league coach I see how excited the kids get when their teammates walkup song comes on, pure joy.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.7 — 2026-08-21

New this update:

• "Your subscription" — a new screen in Settings to see your plan and renewal at a glance, and manage it anytime.

• Save for offline now includes the Now Batting playlist, so every song's ready even with no signal at the field.

• Got a shared team? A warmer welcome, and you can rearrange the batting order or bench players for the game right away — no account needed.

### 1.1.6 — 2026-08-15

A smoother start and a cleaner game day.

• New welcome — get your whole team in and running in about a minute.
• Player submissions from parents are easier to spot and review.
• Importing a shared roster is faster and cleaner — one tap, no clutter.
• Roll Call and Name Lock polish, so what's on your screen always matches what you'll hear.

Every team needs a Chief Hype Officer.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-08-11

Your whole lineup, announced like the big leagues.

• Customize your Roll Call — add your opponent, the time of day, and the occasion, over a music bed you pick (Classic, Rock, Hip-Hop, Electro, Country, or none).
• Preview the script before game day so it's exactly how you want it.
• Name Lock, made easier — a simpler, clearer way to lock how a tricky name is said.
• Smoother and sturdier — a cleaner game-day Roll Call, plus fixes and polish throughout.

Every team needs a Chief Hype Officer.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-07-25

Get every name right — everywhere.

• Nail tricky names better. Made it easier for the model to say a player's name the same in their walk-up call, the Roll Call, and the Bullpen.
• Redesigned game-day sounds. Organized sounds into New Hype, Game Moments, and Organ sections to make everything easy to find — crowd favorites like Day-O and the clap-along are front and center.
• Pin your go-to sounds. Keep your favorites one tap away in the always-visible sound bar.
• Fuller ballpark organ. The organ tunes now play their full length.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-07-14

Game day, dialed in.

• Instant, offline playback — one tap builds a "Now Batting" playlist of every walk-up and situational sound. Download it once and everything fires the second you tap, even with no signal at the field.
• Sharper, more reliable audio — walk-ups, announcements and sounds hit cleaner and faster, back-to-back, on Bluetooth speakers.
• Situational Sounds — organ riffs, "charge!", rally cries and the classic ballpark moments, right on the soundboard.
• Roll Call — announce your whole starting lineup in one tap, and names land the same as in the walk-up.

Every team needs a Chief Hype Officer. Thanks for being yours.
