ATMOSPHERIC AWARENESS

See current conditions and developing weather through a combination of observations, high-resolution models, precipitation data, and atmospheric analysis.

NOWCAST

Get plain-English 12-hour and 24-hour weather outlooks that analyze current and developing conditions, including rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, and mixed precipitation.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE

Not every forecast is equally certain. NOWA uses High, Medium, and Low confidence indicators to help you understand when the atmospheric signal is strong—and when uncertainty remains.

LOCAL HAZARD AWARENESS

Stay aware of severe weather, heavy rain, winter storms, coastal hazards, nearby lightning and other changing conditions. Receive customizable notifications even when NOWA is closed.

BEACH & MARINE AWARENESS

Monitor wave height, swell period, tides, water temperature, rip-current risk, buoy observations, and coastal hazards.

SPACE WEATHER

Follow the atmosphere above the atmosphere. Monitor aurora potential, Kp index, geomagnetic activity, solar flares, and other space-weather conditions.

EARTHQUAKES

Monitor nearby seismic activity using USGS data and configurable proximity alerts.

BUILT AROUND TRUST

NOWA uses trusted sources including the National Weather Service, NOAA, USGS, Open-Meteo, and other meteorological providers. An intuitive green, yellow, and red system helps communicate changing conditions and potential hazards at a glance.
