This function doesn’t work anymore. It just opens the settings for the app. I already have all the permissions allowed in settings but the listen function isn’t working anymore. Please fix this issue. ### 2/5 — Ein Satz mit X… *2025-10-19* Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen leider überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Zumindest für die von mir gehörten Musiktitel nahezu ohne jeglichen Wert. Lediglich das Einblenden des Covers ist wirklich zu wenig. Ich höre viel Jazz und Musik aus so ziemlich allen anderen Genres abseits des Mainstream. Dazu liefert die App in etwa 9 von 10 Fällen keine zusätzlichen Informationen. Leider keine Möglichkeit eines Probeabos - so ärgere ich mich schon ein wenig über die für einen Monat sinnlos investierten 2,99€. Direkt wieder gelöscht! Dann doch lieber selbst im Netz nach gewünschten Informationen (Musiker, Komponist, Produzent, etc.) suchen! ### 4/5 — Excellent Design, but Issues Remain *2025-09-11* It’s been a while since I’ve come across an app that truly reflects the developer’s passion for design. Among music-related apps, the design quality here really stands out. The Achievement feature is nothing short of an invention—I hope to see more of these added in the future. This is a truly wonderful app, but at the same time I feel there are still some issues that need to be addressed. Needs Improvement: A loading screen appears every time you navigate between pages. This significantly harms the user experience. Bugs: - When opening Apple Music or Marvis from NowPlaying, the app sometimes opens the wrong album. - Using “Open in Marvis Pro” often results in the error: “Unable to find the Album on Apple Music.” - Selecting “Open in Soor” opens Apple Music instead of Soor. - The menu that should appear when long-pressing lyrics flashes and disappears immediately. Feature Request: It would be very helpful for non-English-speaking users if a “Translate” option were added to the text long-press menu. Thank you for considering these points. Info Device: iPhone 16 iOS: 18.6.2 App Version: 2025.11 Status: Gold ### 3/5 — What am I missing here? *2024-12-02* This app has one main purpose as I see it, and that is to improve the display of the song currently playing on your device. Only… that’s not what it does. Sure, you can start up the app and choose Now Playing and see a pretty cool view of the song that is now playing. But when the song changes, this app doesn’t seem to be aware that a different song is “now playing.” You have to terminate this app and restart it so that the currently playing song is shown onscreen. I know this can’t be the intended design so is this maybe a bug? Whatever it is I hope it’s fixed right quick because the app in its current state is useless. Incidentally this issue is present for every device I’ve tried so far, from iPhone to iPad to Apple TV. **Developer response:** Hi, This seems to be a bug indeed! Thanks for letting me know ### 5/5 — Nice app. *2024-07-24* If you are looking for the ‘behind the scenes’ info about a track or artist that Shazam lacks, you probably would enjoy this app. The developer is responsive and actively maintaining/improving the app. Another gem of this app is the Display feature, especially on an iPad and optionally mirroring to an Apple TV. This is quite nice if you listen to Internet radio streams that don’t have metadata, as it provides continuously updated track/artist info of what is currently playing. ### 5/5 — Compatibility with older iPads *2024-06-24* At the moment the app requires iOS 17, but ideally we would like to run the app full time on deprecated hardware rather than on new devices. Any possibility of enabling the AppStore to allow downloads of previous versions? **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! As far as we know, it’s impossible to download older versions of the app for older models unless you have already installed it. We’ll take using older iPads in consideration for future updates. ### 3/5 — Works off and on *2024-06-12* When it works, it works well. Access to microphone is allowed. After trying several times, it works sporadically. It will stop listening by itself, or it decides to listen and work. Would be nice if lyrics came up automatically when the song does, instead of having to navigate to lyrics. **Developer response:** Hey, This should not be happening. Please make sure that you have given NowPlaying access to your microphone. If you have the default mail app installed, please send us a bug report via the bug report button in the preferences page. After pressing "Listen" and giving NowPlaying access to your microphone, it should detect music around you. But it just doesn't work, and I have tried for weeks. Perpetual ‘searching for music’. Waste of money. Luckily only £9.99. **Developer response:** Hi there! Please double check the following thing: Go to your phone settings → Apps → NowPlaying and make sure that “Media & Apple Music” is turned on and Microphone is turned on. Even though the subscription options in the app show a monthly option, a user cannot proceed to select and pay for the app that way. Only the annual option or lifetime option are active. From an "Album of the Day" to a regularly updated "record box" that you can browse through to suggestions of similar music, you can immerse yourself in a world of music in a playful way. The best thing is of course the "Now Playing" feature, which provides information on the current album and artists. The app is not for organising music - there are better things to do that. The focus is clearly on discovery - and I haven't found anything comparable yet. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind review! This app does more than you can ask for and it does it well.
