This is the only video app out of many I’ve tried that fails when trying to set it as the default app for all video files in the iOS Files app. iOS instantly reverts it to the previous app association unless you set it to only associate a single file at a time

None of the multiple versions of nPlayer (lite, normal, plus) allow me to add them as the default app to open mp4 files in. Which makes watching things through it very tedious as i have to go through each individual file and set it to nPlayer

This app gets worse with every iOS update. The app does not go back when you hit back, the bugs are getting worse. The performance degrades and feels choppy with ultra hd video. Please fix this!

I really wish they would. The UX is getting worse. The back arrow really is spotty. My guess is that for the max phones it has trouble with the touch location. The video is taking longer and longer to buffer. Especially with 4k content. Please fix this.

This app works well overall for easy loading and viewing of media, but it seems that the most recent version of the app completely removed the DTS Headphone feature which I much preferred vs the Dolby enhancement effect (especially given that it could be applied to stereo audio, which Dolby cannot). That feature is listed in the first line of the app description, so I hope this is a temporary situation and the developers will bring it back soon in an app update.

I tried playing the videos in my photos app album as a playlist, and individually. Nothing happens. All I see is a circling yellow buffer animation even after fifteen minutes. My videos are not large… between 100mb and 800mb. But nothing happens. Why isn't this working??

前々からDropboxは使えなくなっていましたが、とうとうGoogleドライブも排除されたようです。
購入した時にはローカルに保存しないで動画が見られるのが強みだったのに全く使い物にならないアプリになってしまいました。
操作性はよかったのでとても残念です。

今から購入しようとしている人はやめた方がいいです。

The whole reason I payed for this was to enjoy DTS Headphones:X and this was the only app with such a feature on iOS. Now update 3:13.0 has removed the feature completely with no explanation why. Probably a licensing issue. Either way, 1 star until it’s restored. NPlayer was the best iOS media player until update 3:13.0. No reply from support either when I emailed them, 1 star.

I have this on all of my devices android and iPhone as well as my MacBook. I have used it for years and it’s been wonderful but recently they have removed Chromecast functionality and Google Drive functionality. I have The paid for a version and they have another paid for version on the market now it looks like that version will support Chromecast. It seems like this is a cash grab to screw over long-term customers if you can find anything else please support that instead of this company it’s extremely predatory to sell a product and then change the product and release another product that has the removed features.

I have been using this app for years, and the “Listening Drill” feature was the main reason I chose this app. It was essential for my foreign languages learning, but after the latest update, it has been removed without warning. This is a huge downgrade!

I urge the developers to restore this feature immediately. If they do not plan to bring it back, I believe users deserve proper compensation for the loss of functionality. Very disappointed with this update!

Been using this app for a long time.  However, for some reason, if I have any media playing, and I lock my phone- playback stops.  However, if my AirPods are connected, it works fine.  So playback via my iPhone speaker doesn’t work correctly when the phone locks.  Have rebooted, updated iOS a few times (this has been an ongoing issue for quite a while now). Otherwise, I LOVE this app.

This app actually works as intended: A player that opens and plays many different file formats without hassle. In the case of VLC, which I spent hours trying to get it to work with my files, “free” wasn’t worth it. Buy this one and save yourself the trouble

I’ve been using this for probably nearly a decade and it’s solid and reliable. Highly recommend this one, you’ll never need another media player for music and video.

The plus:

Proper media handling: colorspace, audio channel selection, subtitles, hardware decoding of all formats (even AV1)

Proper formats handling (mkv, dolby, flac etc

Playlists

Plays consecutive files in a folder

Access to external media sources such as usbc drives, Dropbox, google drive, DLNA, windows file sharing etc

Very configurable

Tiny app with no fluff

The minus:

Can crash sometimes when playing 4K hdr movies, the app will just quit unexpectedly. Restarting the app and playing the movie will continue from where it left off so not so bad.

The play button is right above the silky apple bottom bar which makes it fiddly to press sometimes.

정말 만족 하며 쓰고있습니다 건의드릴게 있어서 이렇게 리뷰로 남깁니다 영상 UI는 더 바랄것 없지만 음악UI개선과 사진 파일 보는데 있어서 개선이 되었으면 합니다 이번에 시놀로지 NAS구매해서 네트워크 메뉴 활용도가 부쩍 늘어났는데 휴대폰 용량 확보차원에서 음악도 엔플레이어 이용해서 편리하게 듣고싶네요
추가) 프레임보간기능이 있었으면 합니다

Die App ist so schön VoiceOver freundlich. Vielen Dank für Ihre Mühen. Es wäre noch cool, wenn man Dateien komprimieren könnte. Also zum Beispiel in Zipp verwandeln. Ich glaube, das konnte der nPlayer schon mal. Aber muss natürlich nicht sein. Es ist so oder so eine sehr starke App. Vielen Dank noch mal dafür.

Le seul fait que cette app, que j’ai achetée il y a des années, est toujours utilisable sans avoir à payer un abonnement mérite 5 étoiles.
Elle gère tous les formats que je lui demande (FLAC, M4A etc.), et toutes les sources (disque NAS via Samba, OneDrive et plein d’autres. Bravo et merci aux développeurs !
