However while the questions were helpful the glitches in the app almost didn't make it worth spending the extra money for the upgrade. There were times when the question of day would somehow count as a question from the exam section and you're only allotted a certain amount of those questions. Also there were repeats in the exams as well as the question of the day. If these glitches are fixed then I feel like the app will be even stronger than it is now! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t purchase this app! *2018-10-20* BEWARE! This app is false advertising! It advertises “unlimited questions of the day” however this question is simply subtracted from the “600” questions you pay 40$ for. Which leads to my next point, the fact that the “600” questions is not actually 600 questions. I constantly see the same repetitive questions on every custom exam I take. This is unacceptable! ### 1/5 — Poor Content *2018-10-19, version 6.6* Several others have also made the comment that the content of the questions are very basic and easier than most other study guides out there. I have answered 20 questions so far, all of which are basic anatomy/physiology with no clinical application at all. This type of information is not pertinent. “What heart valve prevents blood from flowing back into the right ventricle?” Is not a question you would see on the NPTE exam. ### 1/5 — Too many glitches. Keeps lagging and takes forever to load. *2018-06-12, version 6.5.3* Bought this app to help me with my exam preparation. Content is great but the app runs very slow and keeps on crashing. Scoring is not even accurate with my right and wrong answers. Percentage score based on my correct answer is not right. How can i get a 60% rate when in fact i got 20 questions right in a 24 item daily quiz? Not to mention it takes forever to load once u open it. If i knew this app lags so much then i wouldn’t buy for the in-app purchase. Its not worth the money. The app tracks your progress and says it gives you your weak areas but gives you percentages that are incorrect. I know personally what areas I struggle in but the app is telling me I have been doing well in these spots. The “question of the day” is not a unique question either, it’s just one of the 600 questions that is already on the app. I have already run across most of the questions of the day in my exam prep. It’s nice to have the app and the questions but for 35 bucks but it could be better **Developer response:** Hi Daniel! The app tells you that you are doing well in a certain area if you answer questions correctly in that area. If you actually give wrong responses but the app still tells you those are your good subjects, please contact us through our Message Center. ### 2/5 — Better options out there *2019-02-13* Definitely very glitchy and has times when it won’t work. The questions are okay. They repeat questions if you get them wrong which I don’t really like. If you’re looking at another app option try that- I kind of wish I had my money back on this one. ### 2/5 — App Crashes All. The. Time. *2018-10-01, version 6.5.6* The app crashes all the time, requiring me to sign-in over and over again. The app itself is also slow to load after it finally opens. The newer version is actually slower than the older one. The content of the app itself is great but when I have to spend so much time to get the questions to load, it is so frustrating. **Developer response:** Hi Keisha! Even the same question 2-3 days in a row. It coordinates with the O’Sullivans book aka “big Red”. Each rationale has the exact page number to find the information. When it says guaranteed pass, it’s telling the truth. Occasionally I would make tests specifically on the subjects I just completed studying in order to see if there was anything else I needed to focus more on. Helped me become more confident for the big day. Passed the NPTE on the first try!! ### 5/5 — Definitely useful *2018-08-01, version 6.5.4* This app isn’t perfect and unless you pay for the full list of questions you may see some repeat but it’s definitely great to have when you’re on-the-go and just want to answer a few questions, and if you want to check yourself on a certain content area or see how questions are phrased. I really enjoyed this app for a study tool and just passed my exam! ### 5/5 — Pt examination practice *2017-12-29, version 6.3.2* Great questions when you are on the go. Offers 2018 edition as well. Or whatever year you take the exam ### 4/5 — great app *2020-05-22, version 6.7.6* All the features on this app are fantastic, and I completely agree that it is fair to charge users if they want to utilize all the features. With that being said, I downloaded this app with the intent of using only the QOTD feature - without knowing it could only be used for 14 days in the free version. I wish there was a cheaper option to buy solely unlimited QOTD access, because I don’t want to spend $35 on a package when I will only utilize 1 of the features included. ### 4/5 — Good app *2019-03-19, version 6.7.1* Overall, I think that this is a good app. I haven’t taken my boards yet but I like how I can review/retake the questions when I’m on the go. My only issue is that I wish there more pictures associated with the explanations because I am more of a visual learner. ### 4/5 — Glitches!!!! *2019-01-14, version 6.7.1* I am using this app to prepare. I like that you are able to separate by systems and control how many questions you want to answer. HOWEVER, this is where the biggest problem is. So many times I am given different numbers on how many questions are available max for a section. I close the app then all of a sudden I get 20 more or so. I keep my app updated and once I sent a msg to the company in charge of the app and was told to uninstall and re-install the app... didn’t fix my issue! It makes it hard for me to see how much I really know when I can’t get all the questions the first time, since once you’ve seen the answer once that will change the results. I love this app, but for the glitches to exist for this long after paying so much for it makes me question how worth it the purchase was. Please fix it! Update for 2019: Now I am close to my NPTE test date and it’s stressful that this app continues to have glitches. I am so glad that the repeats for questions have been lessened though. +1 more star for that ### 4/5 — Freezing *2018-10-13, version 6.6* The app’s content is excellent and tracks study progress well. The app often freezes or heavily lags in between transitions. That can be somewhat frustrating when you’re trying to study. Some questions of the days also repeat in organized quizzes. Despite these little hiccups, highly recommend the app. It’s highly accessible and effective to review study material. ### 4/5 — Great! Except fix the QOTD section *2017-11-24* Love the app although the QOTD section is totally glitched and adds a doubled blank answered question on each day either wrong or right and it messes up your percentages.
