I am not happy when in mid-round it shuts off and makes me loose my score! I will be trying other products to compare but I wish I could get refunded from this app?? ### 4/5 — Needs updated *2018-09-02, version 3.1.2* I’ve been using this app for 4 years on my iPhone 6S and it has worked very good until this year. Almost every round this year on going from the 13th to 14th hole the program hiccups and goes to the start screen. I can turn the phone sideways and get to the scorecard but the only thing I can do is post the round at that point and then finish the round after restarting and use the posted round to complete the round with the last five holes in operation. This is very frustrating because I use the app to capture all the statistics. Today I thought I had posted the first 13 hole round but found that I didn’t so I was glad we had kept a paper scorecard. I end up doing a lot of guessing when I don’t have a paper backup. If it wasn’t for this hiccup happening I would be the biggest fan of this program, hence the four star rating. ### 2/5 — Declining performance *2018-05-26, version 3.1.2* This used to be a great app. It seems to be under ot not maintained and unreliable may2018. It is very simple to use and gives me enough information for shot selection without an overkill. I do want to be continually looking at my phone playing golf so this app is perfect. Great statistics for my saved rounds. Also just moved to Germany and my local course was not in the database so I asked them and within 3 days my course was uploaded. I have seen other golfers with expensive GPS devices, this app does everything their devices can do. Also great support from the nRange team! Great job!! ### 4/5 — Good app good help slow help response *2015-03-30, version 3.0.2* I recently switched to an iphone and have a lifetime subscription to this app. I contacted nrange help a few times to get the app running. It took about a year to get it working but yesterday the person on the other end (no idea who it was as they don’t identify themselves) finally re-set me somehow and now my app is working. Great app and the help guy (or gal) yesterday was excellent. One down side is that you can go weeks without someone responding to your need for help. But when they get back to you, they are helpful. Initially had GPS connection issue which was fixed in latest update but now the app frequently crashes. Are these guys out of business? ### 1/5 — Not for Apple Watch *2015-05-28, version 3.1.0* In order to get distances on Apple Watch, the iPhone must be on. The app must be active and the phone on; the screen has to actually be on. That means either keeping your phone on for the entire round or turning it on every shot before looking for your distance on your watch. It’s easy to see the front, middle and back pin distances. The app also shows great aerial views to help navigate obstacles with the ability to display distances from your location to any point in the hole. Yardages are also quite accurate. I recommend this app for anyone who doesn’t want to invest in a separate range finding device. ### 5/5 — Super App and Support *2020-08-10, version 4.0.1* Long time user of this app 5-6 years have never had any issues using. The rare private course may not be listed but for most, can’t beat the price and accuracy. ### 5/5 — nRange is BACK!! *2020-07-24, version 4.0.1* I have used nRange since my Blackberry days and migrated to iPhone years ago; and recommended it to a lot of people. I have enjoyed the ease of use, scoring, great hole views, yardages, ability to measure distances to hazards/features and the ability to track selected stats. Over the past 2-3 years the app had been ‘neglected’ and would usually crash after 13 holes (loosing all scoring & stats; wasn’t a problem if you were only playing 9 holes). I reached out the the nRange team and learned they were about to release an updated version for iOS. Well, it’s out and it’s great again! I’ve only played one full round with it, but it’s like having an old (yet improved) friend along. I made the switch to iPhone over 10 years ago and this was one of the few apps I transferred over. It worked great for many years however as time moved forward it started to look and feel outdated (I’d like to add even though it was outdated due to the design it never lost functionality and always worked as intended). I really was starting to get worried assuming at some point this app would just stop working and disappear from the App Store. The problem was I could never find anything close to the user experience of nRange Golf GPS and because of that I decided to keep using until it ether stopped working altogether ... or .... was updated... I’m so happy that it was updated and hope to continue seeing regular updates and improvements as I will continue to recommend this application to anyone looking for a golf gps, It is by far leaps and bounds forward from any competition available in the App Store. ### 5/5 — Almost perfect. *2017-07-08, version 3.1.2* I've had this app for a few years now.
