Also on iOS often mutes and/or turns off speaker intermittently. Need a fix please. ### 2/5 — A number of features don’t work *2021-10-23, version 4.1.24* The app just, overall, does not seem to work the way it is supposed to. I added the SMS package. Outgoing SMS messages don’t reach the destination; incoming SMS messages show up in my notifications but aren’t displayed in the text area. The text area is just empty. Reported concerns to customer service. It had to be escalated from the first tier tech support; I never heard from them again, even after I sent a follow-up email. Outgoing calls and incoming calls don’t work on my WiFi or cellular network. Just silence. I live rurally so my internet is not great, but I can stream video, have videoconferences, many of this simultaneously, without issue, so there is no excuse for VoIP not to work. I’ve given it two stars because the only feature that does seem to work is the voicemail. ### 4/5 — Badge Icon Notifications *2021-01-30, version 4.1.20* Please consider adding support for notifications on the app badge for new voicemails and missed calls. ### 3/5 — Incoming calls Don’t ring *2020-05-21, version 4.1.20* I have a paid number and I was using this app to receive calls when I was not at home. Since the last update, incoming calls are missed because the app does not ring even if all notifications are enable. My wife and I have the app on our cells so when someone calls home we both can answer remotely from work. If we cannot take the call we love getting the email with the voice message or access the voicemail in the app. Haven’t tried long distance calls though. So I can’t comment on its quality. Local calls are now fantastic. —- Just unsubscribed to the service. People had to call twice in a row for the phone to ring. Kept sending incoming to the answering machine. Unable to make any international prepaid calls. Tried to reach busy customers support only chat line. Never was able to speak any one over phone! No one helps... feels like money got stuck. All hiss and sound breaking up. Calls using a phone and a duo work fine. If you have a duo/account with Nettalk, then you can use this app to make phone calls to Canada/USA. The call quality is BAD. It is nice that it imports all your contacts, but whoopee, that's kinda basic too. I tried calling a Toronto number and the call would not go through the first two tries. Then I got through but after less than five minutes the call just died mid sentence. It was a business call, so doesn't inspire confidence in me to use it for important calls. Small comment - it's weird that there's no touch tone sound when you're dialling. Doesn't matter, but you would think that would be a basic thing too. Wish I had a better option. Bought some Skype credit. Too bad, when we pay for phone service from this company. ### 1/5 — AVOID *2017-03-28, version 4.1.8* Poor quality and never connects correctly. You lose too many credits on dead calls where both ends can not hear each other. Suddenly on 15th September 24 it stopped working. Upon contact I was informed that their system has detected something wrong and canceled the account. No more details provided. They refused to refund me my money for the unused subscription. I feel Nettalk is in hands of suspicious people and have suspicious employees to be fair . I will update if I hear more from Nettalk ### 1/5 — Blank page *2024-08-31, version 4.1.25* The new app NetConnect was automatically downloaded on my iPad replacing the old one (Nettalk). Although I paid for the service until the year 2028, I just cannot use the app. Each time i try to log in a blank page is prompted. Could not even reach support or help, no answer either. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with iPhone 11 and newer *2023-02-14, version 4.1.24* I have been a satisfied client of NetTalk for years, and enlisted in their mobile app a few months ago. The app works on my iPhone 7, but systematically crashes on my iPhones 11 and 13. Systematically. I had numerous chats with their support department; they told me they referred the problem to their technical department and will contact me once there is a fix. Their last update came out over a year ago, and still no new update in sight. Now, their customer service doesn’t even respond to my inquiries. A serious company would remove this app from the Apple store until it works with all iPhone models and iOS. ### 1/5 — Can’t make outgoing calls from my iPhone *2022-09-29, version 4.1.24* My iPhone 7 has v4.1.24. I can receive incoming calls but outgoing calls do not connect to the destination #. I hear ringing from my end but the destination phone does not receive my call. Reloaded the app, used different routers and ISP’s, with and without VPN, with the same results. ### 1/5 — Net what? *2022-07-21, version 4.1.24* Installed this (plus paid $5) to receive text messages to my NetTALK number forwarded to my phone. Automated verification texts never go through. Plus, phone calls never connect to my iPhone when they ring my number. Currently, app won’t even open even after re-install.
