I generally dont use other apps. This app has built in refresh feature, coach position as new features which are good. There is slight delay sometimes while updating status for certain stations or trains and that should be addressed. Else it pretty simple to use and fast. ### 2/5 — Only 50% features of the app work *2026-06-29, version 23.5* Indian railways is bigger then many MNC companies combined. All Indians expect app from railways to perform better then expected. The NTES App for IOS has following issues 1 - The tile of "Train between Stations" always stays inactive. 2 - The tile of "Live Station" is active when clicked for 1st time but immediately gets inactive thereafter and stays inactive till app is closed. One can try to click that tile many times but tile simply doesnt work. 3 - The tile of "current train position" is found active while clicking 1st time but immediately gets inactive thereafter and stays inactive till app is closed. One can try to click that tiles many times but tile doesnt work. People can not use the app due to above mentioned deficiencies. Improove the app soon. ### 2/5 — Features lack usability ! *2026-03-30, version 23.4* Example: List of Trains for a Station is really good to have. But if u have anything more then 30ish without a sort and filter facility what is the use ? Why do we need this list ? Even if a rickshaw person needs this list to manage this service-time, he needs a filter/sort. Useless Indian rail employees ! It’s such a meager tech change but of tremendous user-value. ### 2/5 — Need more update *2025-07-19, version 22.0* Do you know how other private train location apps are doing the right thing and what is the difference between NTES and other apps. However it needs updates to keep it engaging like other apps. Good to see the addition of coach position feature. Will be good to show the nonstopping stations between 2 stops so that passengers can track better. This option is missing in this app. ### 3/5 — Feature & Options change *2024-10-18, version 19.4* Like Delhi metro app; If there is no direct train, show the train schedule ready with the interchange station in the middle of a station. There is a problem of refreshing in the spot your train option due to not having an option. Merge the spot your train option in the train bitween station option so that you do not have to spot the train again. ### 3/5 — Good but needs updates *2024-10-04, version 19.4* Its a good and accurate app developed by CRIS. However it does need some basic updates. 1. Please add a refresh button to the live train status. 2. Also in those cases where user is simply viewing a list of trains between 2 stations, you can add a button to see those trains’ live running status as well upon clicking on it. I think a simple recurring function will do it. Rest everything is pretty good. Hopefully the developers will see to it. ### 3/5 — Best app for iPhone *2024-09-01, version 19.4* Please update the app with 1. Recent searches 2. Favourite train 3. Please consider these improvements. ### 4/5 — Handy for live rail status *2024-07-08, version 19.4* The live station feature is useful for figuring upcoming trains for a last minute journey plan. A facility to reserve a seat for a train would’ve been even more useful. Facility to save trains to show current status with a single tap is needed. For a lack of it one has to manually enter train number over and over when inquiring multiple trains at once. The segregation of live status and train seat reservation may be for the backend logistic reason. However, an app user need not know. A single app front-end user interface shall seamlessly manage the backend access. ### 4/5 — Trains between station is not working since last update of App. *2024-07-01, version 19.4* Trains between station is not working since last update of the application 4months ago. App stops abruptly when I click on train b/w stations. Please look into it. It should also show intermediate stations between stopping stations. Many of the third part apps are much better than this. ### 4/5 — Not showing accurate time of arrival *2023-09-11, version 19.1* Not showing correct time of arrival in this app. I am travelling in VSP-SC garib rath I am still In train and the app is showing that Train reached destination SC half an hour ago… this is the second time I am facing this problem. Similarly for another train also app was showing a time earlier than actual time of reaching destination. ### 4/5 — Losing to RailYatri. *2023-09-10, version 19.1* I always wondered that why cannot this maintain a history of searches and why I have to input the train number, EVERYTIME! RailYatri seems to be becoming the indisputable AiO app for Indian Rail related matters. CRIS, your effort was so great that I have to give it 4 stars, in stead of the 3 or 2 that I wanted to, in the comparison and current scenario of much superior apps, sarkaari and private! Good job, anyway! ### 3/5 — Bug that restart app *2023-07-28, version 19.1* I am using iphone and many a time face an issue tha when I clicked on trains between stations, it pause for few seconds and app closed! Again when I open app the same incident repeats. It was working okay but then got bricked with perhaps an iOS update. The developers don’t seem to be interested. You are not going to get any information… I get rid of this app 2 years before and the windows mobile version version is being used..
