I can usually access Live, Mixtapes, and Discovery fine, but when I try to access "My NTS," it tells me I need to log in on my phone, even though I'm already logged in and it's dangerous to use my phone while driving. The desktop version doesn’t sync with system commands to pause using spacebar/other controls, tapping the side of a bluetooth earbud, etc. If you have a Mac it doesn’t show up in the “what’s playing” section of the status bar so you can’t even play or pause this way. You can only control from within the app itself by literally clicking play or pause. Also if you close the window without meaning to quit, it will still quit the app. On desktop and mobile, you can’t reliably scrub through to go back or forward, it will often stop playing and need to be restarted. Lately on desktop sometimes the music will just stop without me having done anything, and needs to be restarted. Sometimes using the 15 second back/forward buttons on mobile will just not work. I hope there’s an update for all of the platforms that will fix these issues soon. ### 2/5 — Playback broken *2025-11-25, version 4.5.2* Love NTS so I regret my star review, but playback has been broken on the app archive for well over a week now. Just one small suggestion: I’m running the iPhone/iPad version of the app on my Mac, and I noticed there’s no option to adjust the volume directly within the app. It would be super helpful if you could add this feature so the app runs more smoothly on Mac. Thank you so much! ### 5/5 — Great App *2026-05-17* Love NTS, love the App, but i‘d really appreciate a download function to listen to my favorite shows offline. ### 5/5 — A valuable public service *2026-04-15, version 5.4.2* Only been an NTS listener for a few months, but seeing how responsive the devs are to bug reports, seeing those issues addressed in release notes just a few weeks later, shows that they're no less serious about a good UX vs. their commitment to vibrant music culture. I still experience bugs with the schedule scrolling days into the past or future upon opening, and Airplay doesn't work at all on my Android TV - but Chromecast will at least stream good audio, even if you need to manually restart the stream to populate the next show's info. They apparently addressed some of these issues in fixes but I think my devices might be the edge cases. Despite these gripes, I'm more than happy to have recently become an NTS supporter - what a steal for a passionate wealth of diverse, HUMAN-CURATED programs, all accessible within a thoughtful and straightforward interface (desktop too). I jumped ship from Spotify almost a year ago and I have not missed it at all; as a surprise discovery junkie, this is so much better.
