So I deleted the app and installed the heatmiser app instead. Linked accounts and all my thermostats were found straight away. The nu-heat and heatmiser using the same database so I can login with my nu-heat account to heatmiser. Don’t bother with this app, just download and use heatmiser app instead ### 2/5 — John Ayers *2023-02-13, version 3.0.21* All the system is expensive costly to RUN do not beleive 1 KWH returns you 3kwh ### 2/5 — App doesn’t refresh *2021-12-05, version 3.0.18* I have 6 thermostats couple of them shows WiFi symbols but app always shows them “offline”. Not sure if this is sync issue of the app with thermostats but this issue is giving enough headaches. Dev can you please look into this issue? Turns heating on randomly ### 3/5 — Barely usable app with poor UI design and many bugs *2018-12-23, version 3.0.3* Disappointed by this app and my nu-heat underfloor heating system. I won’t go into detail about the UFH system since that’s nothing to do with the app.... * The main status screen isn’t always up to date. When switching to the app, it doesn’t automatically update or refresh, often showing you old info (e.g. not current temperatures on the thermostats). You have to force quit the app and restart it to get the current info since there’s no pull to refresh or similar feature. This is basically functionality that should just work. * Horrible clunky UI that looks like something from a Windows app circa 1995. * The app isn't intuitive or easy to use. * The in-app instructions for adding new NeoAir thermostats are wrong and don’t work. You have to follow steps from the user manual to properly add a new NeoAir. And the discoverability of adding a new thermostat is terrible. There’s no simple ‘Add’ button. You have to click Edit and then “Add Zone” - who would think to Add a Zone when trying to Add a thermostat. Why not just a simple “Add Thermostat” button? * The app doesn’t support the screen sizes on the latest iPad Pro and iPhone XS/XR models. Instead it runs in compatibility mode with black bars at the sides. * The app doesn’t support basic iOS feature such as pull to refresh, swipe back, multitasking (split view and slide over), Siri Shortcuts, etc. ### 3/5 — Still some work to do *2017-12-08, version 2.0.152* The update works. It’s the user interface that’s in need of improvement. It was fine before. Why choose green (environmental? It’s burning energy!)? The tone of the green is too pale against the white and the font needs to be bolder. Blue was so much more restful. Check the science of contrasting font and background colours and ease of reading. Pale yellow background and mid to dark blue font is better. The Home page should be panels like before. There’s a lot of bare screen. More importantly, once you select the room or zone, the display shows a temperature dial, which you can touch and dial up or down. However, the settings menu is barely viewable at the bottom of the display. Only half of the words ‘Comfort levels’ is shown. You just have to scroll up the screen to reveal the lower part of the display. Why not make the temp dial a bit smaller to allow the lower menu to be seen and ‘comfort levels’ in a bold font? Also, help pages? What are profiles and recipes? ### 1/5 — HomeKit how? *2017-07-22, version 1.6.60* Seems that HomeKit support is just getting access to other registered accesssories as opposed to allowing one to control heating from the home app. There are no instructions in the app or the developer website. Edit - Nuheat support say you need to buy the new neohub+ £159 to make it work. My new 2 month old neohub is not supported. In three years I still can’t get to grips with this system - very disappointed. Six years and I think I have got to grips with the system. Many new features of the (identical to look at) Heatmiser app in their own latest version are missing from Nu-Heat. When I contacted Nu-Heat and asked why they lagged behind, they said that they were reliant on Heatmiser to offer them the latest versions. They suggested that if I wanted the latest features, then I should load the Heatmiser app and use that instead.
