## What is Nubi Math?

Nubi is a small purple creature who teaches math to children aged 4 to 7. She speaks every question out loud, waits as long as it takes, and never rushes anyone.

WHAT YOUR CHILD LEARNS

Eighty-six lessons across fifteen strands, following the Common Core progression from Kindergarten to Grade 2: counting, adding, taking away, comparing, shapes, patterns, sorting, measuring, number partners, the teens, equal shares, rows and columns.

The strands are interleaved on purpose. A shapes lesson sits between counting and comparing, because a child who only ever sees sums gets bored of sums.

BUILT FOR A CHILD WHO CANNOT READ YET

Nubi says every question aloud in her own recorded voice. Answers show the numeral and a pattern of dots together, so a child who does not recognize "7" yet can count the dots and still be right.

A REAL PICTURE OF WHAT HAS BEEN LEARNED

A fact counts as learned after three clean first-try answers, spread over at least three separate sessions. An answer that needed the last hint does not count. Nubi never re-asks the question your child has just missed, and hands them an easy one straight after.

A LESSON IS TWELVE QUESTIONS, ABOUT FOUR MINUTES

Short and often beats one long sitting. When a lesson ends, Nubi says so and stops. There is no lockout, no streak to break, and nothing that punishes a child for a week their family was busy.

FOR THE GROWN-UP

A progress page shows which strands are secure, which are coming along, what your child is working on now, and how often they have played. It sits behind a gate, so small hands do not wander into it.

WHAT NUBI DOES NOT DO

No ads. Not one, ever. No account, no sign-up, and no name or age is ever asked for. Nothing about your child leaves the device: there is no analytics, no tracking, and no network connection of any kind. Nubi works on a plane.

Wrong answers are never punished. Amber, never red. Nubi gestures at the answers rather than at your child, and the next question comes along as if nothing happened.

ACCESSIBILITY

Every moving thing stops under Reduce Motion, and no signal is ever color alone: right and wrong are always said out loud and written down as well.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-23

• A clearer picture for grown-ups. The report now names everything your child has worked on.
• The whole course, visible. Twelve chapters and eighty-six lessons, from first counting to Grade 2.
• Nubi is always waiting on the right stone. Open the path, and she is standing where your child left off.
• Unlocking the full course is a moment, not a receipt. The whole path lights up and stays lit.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-20

A clearer picture for grown-ups. The report now names every strand your child has met, how far along each one is, and every strand still ahead, set large enough to read at a glance. Still no scores, no grades and nothing to compare your child against.

The whole course, visible. Twelve chapters and eighty-six lessons, from first counting to Grade 2, shown as a path rather than described as a promise.

And a few small kindnesses. Nubi is always waiting on the right stone when you open the path, and opening the full course now gets the moment it deserves.
