### 3/5 — Original Review disappeared

*2026-01-21, version 1.0.7*

It seems like the app defaults to labeling likely AI. The only times it gave a correct response with not AI, were when I included the images original exif data. I gave it some very realistic appearing ai images, and was impressed that it called out even the most realistic. But it also called out images had personally taken as ai (sometimes citing similar reasons - like repeating patterns in grass or fingers being off) with no such edits being performed by me. Assuming the image has been stripped of exif data, I assume this app labels 90% of real as ai and 100% of ai as ai. I’d have to do further testing.

Regarding og review:
The dev reached out a few days after my review (unsure if related or excuse was legit). I should have updated my review then though, giving benefit of the doubt. I’m not sure exactly what my comments were. I had a premium account (trial) when I left the review, am not a competitor, and it was completely honest.

### 2/5 — Bad onboarding

*2026-01-14, version 1.0.7*

So much unnecessary onboarding crud. Trim it

### 4/5 — Worthless

*2026-01-14, version 1.0.7*

I scanned unedited photos and videos that I took personally, of people and nature, in all of them the App found AI with 75% confidence.

### 1/5 — More AI Slop Apps

*2025-12-14*

If you make it through the AI generated onboarding (which takes forever) you’ll find an app that’s barely capable of detecting anything…. And tons of 5-star reviews the developer paid for by giving out “free licenses” to this overpriced AI slop.

### 1/5 — iPhone SE gen 3 screen size

*2025-12-14, version 1.0.5*

This phone is still under Support and this app along with many others claim to be compatible but they’re not. There are selectors and options at the bottom of the screen, which are unreachable on this older model phone that has a more traditional size screen. Just update the app to mark it as incompatible with the iPhone SE and iPhone 8 and similar sized screens to save us the time from downloading an app where we cannot even finish the on boarding process.

### 1/5 — Dubious

*2025-12-14*

Uploaded a video I had generated. It rated it Low chance of fake with 90% confidence. I know there can be false positives and negatives, but low and 90% suggests that this app is clueless.

### 1/5 — extremely shady

*2025-12-11*

My biggest complaint isn’t that it’s sloppily ‘vibe coded’. The concept itself is important. It’s a shame that it’s in the hands of a dishonest and morally bankrupt ‘developer’. Not a person you want to give money or access to your data. Good luck.

And lastly, app does not accurately do what it claims to do.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2025-12-08, version 1.0.4*

this is such a crucial app to have!

### 5/5 — Null AI

*2025-12-08, version 1.0.4*

I’m so happy there is a user friendly app now that helps detect AI in a world where its becoming so normalized

### 5/5 — Performs exceptionally well.

*2025-12-05*

I’ve been testing the app with both original and AI-generated photos and videos, and I must say it does an excellent job distinguishing between real and fake content. I would recommend trying it out, it has a 3 day trial.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the support!

### 1/5 — Serious Credibility Concerns

*2026-02-22, version 1.0.7*

I tested this app using multiple photos that I personally took and know with certainty are 100% real. In every case, the app rated them as highly likely to be AI-generated.

This raises serious and dangerous credibility concerns.

If an app markets itself as a tool for determining whether images are AI-generated, accuracy is not optional. In my experience, this app consistently produced false positives on authentic photographs.

That is not a minor flaw. A tool that falsely labels real images as AI-generated can distort reality, damage credibility, and contribute to misinformation in the opposite direction. When detection tools are wrong but presented as authoritative, they create the very confusion they claim to solve.

There is no clear disclosure of accuracy rates, error margins, or methodological limitations. Without transparency and demonstrable reliability, this app should not present itself as a credible AI-detection resource.

Based on my testing, I absolutely do not trust Null AI. I highly recommend finding a more reliable tool.

### 1/5 — Very long unnecessary introduction

*2026-02-12, version 1.0.7*

It only actually lets you read metadata.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-02-01, version 1.0.7*

I can’t sign in to my Apple account because I can’t access my account for other apps

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-01-15, version 1.0.7*

Total junk you have to do a stupid survey every time it loads. Don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — A lot of questions and no promotion

*2026-01-15, version 1.0.7*

Asking a lot of questions every time I open the app. The same questioning procedures, and then there’s no offer on one-time lifetime or anything. It's inconvenient, and safety first.

### 1/5 — After downloading, no payment options to choose found

*2026-01-14, version 1.0.7*

Through the AppAdvice app, I found out that this app was free today 1/14/26. In the App Store, the very first option is a one time option of zero dollars, and 9 other options which go up to $39.99. After I downloaded the app. I opened it and it took me to a 5 questions survey, an example videos. The app then wanted me to download pictures or videos. There is NO Settings, and there is no payment options to go to. It just has you continue to the next page, without giving any payment options. Called Apple to let them know. They couldn’t find any charges yet, but they do see the my issue. I’m going to delete this app, because I don’t wanna be surprised being charged later.

### 1/5 — Worst start to any App I’ve ever used

*2026-01-14, version 1.0.7*

Takes ages to get into the app. Deleted

### 1/5 — api

*2026-01-10, version 1.0.7*

App Store shows one time offer still available, no options after download

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-12-24, version 1.0.6*

There are no free features all are hidden behind a 20 dollar subscription

### 1/5 — performs exceptionally bad

*2025-12-15, version 1.0.5*

was free as a promo (Lifetime) on Dec 14th 2025 so I gave it a try. The result on two pictures was wrong. A clearly Ai generated image (by myself) was approved as real with 80% probability. App deleted
