Das ist aktuell nicht mehr so zuverlässig. Seit einigen Wochen versucht sie jedoch sofort nach dem Start die Datenbank upzudaten. Nach ca. 3 bis 4% bricht das Datenbankupdate ab und ich erhalte die Nachricht: Fehler beim Extrahieren der Nummern aus heruntergeladenen Daten. Danach kann ich die App nur noch schließen. Worse yet, it crashes when it tries to update the blacklist phone numbers. There’s no way to bypass the update even when you delete the app entirely and reinstall it. It goes right back to update phone numbers and crashes without any ability to bypass or exit out of updating. The other aspect is when a company links to a poorly designed website for their “app support” link. This link should take you to a place to get help. Not your generic website main page. Numbo requires you to keep the app minutes and minutes open and in focus to update the database. It is technologically dumb. It has labeled some as “suspicious” but even that has been erroneous as some of those were legitimate phone calls I was expecting. But every other number says “Not Reported Yet”. So this app is marketed as an app that will identify who is calling from a specific phone number. But it does not actually do that. It provides no useful information and it’s frustrating that you have to type in the number you want to ID anyway. It should just ID every number. If you’re looking for caller ID then keep looking cuz this isn’t it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App seems to have died off *2026-07-13, version 4.8.12* I used this for years and always loved it. But after renewing my subscription 3 months ago it is now impossible to update the blocked call list without an error message. When I contacted them I only received an automated message saying they'd get back to me which was two weeks ago. DO NOT purchase this app as it appears it's still for sale but will no longer do its only job. I'm only giving it one star to grab potential buyers attention. For the past several years it deserved five. I am annoyed it essentially stole my money for the renewal. He said it was by far one of the best systems to protect you from spam and digital fraud, fraudulent phone calls by over seas entities and scam artist. ### 5/5 — Eine gute App, um Anrufer zu erkennen *2024-05-14* Ich finde die App besser als andere Apps wie z.B. tellows. Am dem angezeigten Symbol ist schnell zu erkennen, ob es sich um einen vertrauenswürdigen Anruf oder Spam handelt. Es wird davor nur „Numbo“ angezeigt anstatt etwas langes wie beispielsweise „tellows Anruferkennung & Spamschutz“, sodass man in der Anrufliste auch die vollständige Information sehen kann. Gemeldete Nummern werden umgehend zur Datenbank hinzugefügt. Es scheint eine große Datenbank vorhanden zu sein welche die Nummern vieler Unternehmen enthält. Die Datenbank dieser App benötigt auch mehr Speicherplatz als andere Apps, was möglicherweise darauf hindeutet, dass hier wesentlich mehr Informationen enthalten sind. Durch die Familienfreigabe kann man es mit der Familie teilen. Ja die App ist teurer als andere, jedoch habe ich das Gefühl, dass die App mehr durchdacht und besser designed wurde als andere Apps. ### 5/5 — I tried all of the apps out there!!! *2023-12-14, version 4.8.11* I don’t know how this all started with all these phone calls coming in that were potential scams and unknown numbers! I just knew it was driving me crazy! I ended up looking in the App Store to try to find an app that will help reduce the amount of fake calls I was getting!! I tried Numbo after trying about four or five of these apps are supposed to reduce and eliminate phone calls that were taking up my patience. I got lucky when I tried Numbo!!! I received one or two a day, and I know that they tried to take care of those also!!!
