## What is Nūr?

Nūr is prayer times the way they should be: one beautiful screen, and nothing else.

The five daily prayers. A living moon that shows tonight's real phase. A quiet countdown to the next prayer. The Hijri date. Your city. That's the whole app — and that's the point.

No ads. No banners, no pop-ups, no "premium unlock" maze. Nūr is dark, gold, and calm — designed to feel like a fine watch face, not a billboard.

PRECISE, EVERYWHERE
Times are calculated on your iPhone using standard astronomical methods — Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian Authority, Umm al-Qura, and University of Karachi — with the right method chosen automatically for your region. Standard or Hanafi Asr. Reliable even at high latitudes, where many apps fail.

QUIET NOTIFICATIONS
One gentle notification per prayer. Silent by default; a chime only if you choose. Nothing else, ever.

QIBLA, ONE SWIPE AWAY
A hairline compass pointing to the Kaaba, with your exact bearing and distance to Makkah.

WIDGETS
The next prayer and a live countdown on your home screen and lock screen.

PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
Nūr has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Your location never leaves your phone — prayer times are computed on the device itself.

Nūr is free for your first 30 days, with everything included. After that, an optional subscription (US$0.99/month, cancel anytime) keeps exact times, notifications, qibla and widgets. Without it, the app still shows approximate prayer periods — it never goes dark on you.
