## What is NurHafiz?

NurHafiz helps you memorise the Quran piece by piece - at your pace, offline and without distraction.

HOW YOU LEARN
• Each day has three parts: New, Refresh, Consolidate.
• Spaced repetition: what sits comes back less often, what wobbles comes back more often.
• Recite first, then reveal, then rate - in that order, so your progress stays honest.
• Three trainer levels: everything visible, first words, hidden. Plus unscored exercises, such as putting words back in the right order.

READ AND LISTEN
• Complete Mushaf: all 114 surahs in the verified Uthmani text.
• Four recitations to choose from: Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary (Murattal and Muallim), Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi. Adjustable tempo, A-B loop for difficult passages.
• Download surahs for offline use and keep listening with the screen locked.
• Arabic font size is yours to set.

BUILT QUIETLY
• No account, no sign-in.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
• Everything stays on your device; backup and restore as a file.
• One reminder a day if you want it - local, no streak counters, no pressure.

Languages: German, English, Turkish, French.

The Arabic text comes from the verified Tanzil bundle and is checked against its checksum at every start.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.0 — 2026-10-16

- Read by page: the Mushaf by its 604 Medina pages, with “Go to page …”. Plans can now be made by page, too.
- “Already known”: add surahs you already know by heart and, after a short spot check, go straight to revision.
- Self-test on what you have learned: a surah, a juz or everything, with a report.
- Mark ayat as stumbling blocks by hand and practice them.
- Goal in your plan (optional): target date or time per day.
- Share plans and decks by QR code or file, no account needed.
- Import du'a decks from CSV files and share them as CSV.
- Record your own recitation and listen to it alternately with the reciter. Recordings stay on your device.
- Automatic backup of your progress in your device backup (optional).
- “Today” widget for your Home Screen.
- Now built for iPad; improved landscape layouts.
- Recitation check: transliteration in the teacher view.
- Bosnian and Albanian, each with a Quran translation.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-10-14

- New: French, with the Quran translation by Rachid Maach and expandable notes.
- Practice: most easily confused pairs first, fairer shuffling, no listening round with only one answer.
- Statistics count only the active plan.
- Data from a newer app version stays unchanged, with a clear notice.
- More precise source and license information.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-10-04

- Progress is correct after restoring a backup: each ayah has exactly one card again, and progress and milestones add up. Devices that were already affected are cleaned up on launch.
- Exercises now accept identical-looking correct answers (matching, listening recognition, ayah order).
- Missing word and word bank are shuffled more fairly and cover the whole ayah.
- Plan templates appear in your chosen language.
- On iOS, the privacy, backup and reminder notes now name Apple, iCloud and iOS instead of Google and Android.
- Pro stays active during the night the clocks change.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-10-03

Fixes an issue where some study plans still appeared locked after purchasing Pro. With Pro, all plans are now available right away.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-27

No release notes.
