### 3/5 — Not a bad app

*2026-08-23*

Overall the platform is very easy to use, support is very responsive which is amazing. Payouts are quick. The fee for payout is a little high but it’s not terrible. My biggest issue with the app is the limited protections for workers. We must cancel shifts no later than 24 hours before or face penalties but facilities can cancel anytime they want without any issues, and only if they cancel within 2 hours do you get a small fee. It has happens multiple times where the same facility has cancelled me after days of confirmation,4 hours before shift starts. It seems facilities are never held to the same standard as workers. We who actually provide care are important and these places cannot run without healthcare workers so you would think a platform aiding us find extra work would support us workers over facilities who clearly have little to no intention of following through on confirmed shifts. They should be held to the same standards as us. Overall if you need some extra cash there are a decent amount of shifts available “most you probably won’t have all the necessary qualifications for” but nurseio is great about assisting you in getting those. However, they could do more to protect us as workers instead of only allowing grace to facilities.

### 2/5 — Update

*2026-04-29, version 4.7.0*

Please fix. It keeps crashing

### 2/5 — RN

*2025-10-02*

I used to get a lot of shifts via Nurseio almost Full time. I traveled all the way to Prescott since I used to get gas money too. The shifts paid about $900 total so it’s worth the drive. I went as far as Yuma and Holbrook. Yes I did communicate and talk to a staffer all the time. Then suddenly, almost overnight I (we) start losing those great shifts. The only shifts I was offered was Psych facilities which was not a good place to work anymore. I had to change agency probably i would say a 2nd tier agency that took all those places that used to “belong” to Nurseio. Now that agency is no longer there ( I won’t mention its name). Nurseio end up offering almost exclusively Psych. I believe it must have been the overall market. Phoenix market became very dry until today. So I end up working in Tucson till today where most of the shifts exist through another agency. It looks like we need another “ Covid “ to revive these agencies. Hope this review helps another fellow nurse. Lmk;). Thanks.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing your experience. We’re glad you found so much value in using NurseIO early on, and we understand how frustrating it can be when shifts suddenly slow down or change in nature.
Just to clarify: we’re still very much active in Prescott, Yuma, Holbrook, and the greater Phoenix area! We’ve seen a surge of new HCPs join the platform, which can sometimes make shifts go fast, especially the ones at high-demand facilities. That said, availability often changes week to week, so we definitely recommend checking back frequently in the app.
We’d love to see you back on NurseIO when the timing is right. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly at isabella@nurseio.com.

### 3/5 — Used to be better

*2025-08-03*

I started with Nurseio when they were still Nurses Plus. I used to find so many shifts, in fact I lived off Nurseio shifts for about a year before I got a full time job. Now they offer bottom of the barrel shifts at one specific (HORRIBLE) company in AZ. You used to have staffers on 24/7 with actual local phone numbers. You could always get ahold of someone. Now they just have an 800 number? And you can only talk to people M-F? You book a shift at night because it’s open but there’s no way to actually confirm the facility needs you. Nurseio got big headed and expanded like crazy and now it’s just as bad as Clipboard. I miss when they were just a local agency.

### 1/5 — No Job opportunities

*2025-05-03, version 3.8.10*

No job ever !

### 1/5 — Don’t use

*2025-05-02, version 3.8.10*

Haven’t paid me for a shift i worked Monday … If the facility ignores them don’t wish for you payment per policy

### 1/5 — Not Good

*2025-04-07, version 3.8.10*

This app has the lowest paying facilities or they are charging a lot. I recommend trying a different one for RN LPN and CNA

### 1/5 — App is awful and buggy

*2025-03-02, version 3.8.7*

The app just needs to be redesigned. The entire thing is buggy and im having constant issues with it.

### 3/5 — Review

*2025-02-27, version 3.8.7*

I downloaded the app, created an account, and tried logging in five times and so far it hasn’t worked yet.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-02-23, version 3.8.7*

I’ve been onboarding for months now. Agents are unresponsive, not sure why it takes so long to onboard. Then they say they don’t have openings in Ohio but are posting on indeed. I’ve Just been getting the runaround for months.

### 3/5 — Please fix bugs

*2025-02-21, version 3.8.6*

Can someone fix the app so I don’t have to select if I want to receiver notifications or not every time I open the app? I’ve selected yes over 100 times and it still asks me daily. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — No. Just no.

*2025-01-09, version 3.7*

I took the time to onboard, as I’ve worked Aya and CCN and found this is a waste of time. No jobs and no company communication.

### 3/5 — NurseIO overall!

*2025-01-06*

This app would have higher ratings but I give them a 3. The app is good to use as an extra source of income but not make as a main source of income. After working a shift, contractors are paid at the end of their shift or by the next day. The cons to this app are more than the pros. Cons: they charge an app fee and it is removed from your payment/earnings after you’ve completed a shift, they want you to sign-in on a timesheet and clock-in on the app but if you forget to sign in on the timesheet that is still not enough proof that you clocked in even when you clock-in through the NurseIO app, also there are very few nursing facilities and if there are any, the compensation is not worth the travel because most are located over 80 miles, there are lots of shifts for mental health facilities but 7 times out of 10 most NurseIO clients/workers will be sent home due to the mental health facilities being over staffed or just not needing NurseIO workers that day. The facility won’t let you know until you make the trip to the facility or your shift is canceled in the app at 4 am in the morning. For those of us that use Lyft as a form of transportation it is a waste of money and time. The pay is also lower than other nursing apps. So overall, I give them a 3.

### 1/5 — Shifts

*2025-01-02, version 3.7*

Never has any shifts

### 1/5 — Piss poor app for a piss poor company

*2024-12-06, version 3.4*

I have dealt with this company for 2 years and it’s fair to say they have gotten progressively worse. They have a piss poor attitude towards the nurses and CNAs who make money for them! The crappy, inaccurate, faulty app is used for checking into the facilities reflects the state of this company. They have you “check-in” at the exact time, but the app says you’re too early. After waiting a minute, now you’re too late and have to get special approval from the facility. Unfortunately, there is no way to contact the facility.

### 1/5 — Use Caution!!

*2024-12-02*

I spent hours filling out the paperwork online. The application itself was glitching so I went through the website. After providing all the usual confidential documents and information, I came to the end of my profile. It alerted me to upload my credentials again, which I had already done. I had been advanced forward early on after entering my credentials. Once I received the alert, I was confused because I could clearly see my credentials uploaded. So I went to the chat bot, which proceeded to tell me how to upload my credentials. Then a live person from India came on and proceeded to tell me that my state was not included in the jobs. No where on the website or application did it disclose what states were included. I went through all that work and disclosed private confidential information to a company I felt like was legit. In the meantime, I was also required to sign up with Branch Banking to create a Business account in order to be paid by Nurse IO. I also had to provide all kinds of sensitive information for Branch bank. The guy on Nurse IO then proceeded to apologize and call me “ma’am” even though my ID, and name clearly identifies me as a male. I corrected him. He proceeded to tell me they could save my information until my state (Missouri) was included in the jobs contract with Nurse IO. Suddenly on my screen, a banner comes up advertising that they were in the process of working on getting Missouri in the contract. I went through the wringer trying to get my account canceled with Branch and I still haven’t figured out how to get my data deleted with Nurse IO. Some people may have a good experience with this company, but beware about providing any details prior to knowing what states they represent first. Since then I have collected all this, including screenshots to forward this to the Missouri Attorney General’s Office for review. Nurse IO should disclose what states they represent prior to collecting sensitive information. They also should not coerce people into signing up for a business bank account with a partner firm, Branch, prior to letting them know what states they represent. It should also be made clear that you don’t have a right to choose what bank you utilize prior to providing sensitive information.

### 2/5 — Nurseio Is Trash Now

*2024-11-18, version 3.3*

Nurseio does NOT protect their professionals. They allow the facility to make crazy complaints as if you’ve been trained properly for that facility and they POCKET MOST OF YOUR MONEY. Very low paying agency

### 1/5 — Nurseio doesn’t protect their professionals.

*2024-11-15*

I have never seen a temp service or app that will allow a facility to book temps and then cancel on them within four hours of the shift, three hours of the shift, two hours of the shift. There is absolutely absolutely no compensation if you are last-minute canceled. There is no respect for the fact that you held your day open, there’s no respect for the fact that you might’ve needed some money. They will allow you to pick up shift after shift after shift for facilities that are using you for “just in case”. Since starting with this service, I have been sent home after two hours, sent home after four hours. And that’s on 12 hour shifts. And then I’ve had five cancellations. I’ve picked up seven shifts and I still have not worked one single full shift. They will lose professionals if they carry on like this. Nobody likes their time wasted, it’s ridiculous to allow us to pick something up and then cancel us within hours of it without compensating us at all.

### 1/5 — Auto Close

*2026-05-16, version 4.7.1*

This app is trash! every time use the help button the app just shuts down. You can’t get help with anything!

### 1/5 — FRAUDULENT AGENCY!!! STAY AWAY!!!KEEP OUT!!!

*2026-02-25, version 4.4.0*

I completed a shift last minute for this agency after they advertised to be same day pay. I picked up the next day and drove an hour out and my shift got canceled because they overbooked. My shifts were verified by the company last week and I still haven’t been compensated and they have NO live agents to speak with regarding the issue juts bots! I wish I could give them 0 stars.

### 1/5 — Horrible!

*2026-02-18, version 4.4.0*

This app is truly useless! Once your documents are finally approved, you find out there’s ONLY crisis prevention Centers! But wait, you won’t even be able to book said facilities because you need to have the CPI institute training. But it doesn’t tell you how to obtain this training! These nursing apps have gone down hill. Why should picking up shifts be so complex when it’s agency work!

### 1/5 — Trash. Complete Garbage

*2026-01-26, version 4.2.0*

App is trash and has sooo many bugs and the support is even worse. You ask over and over for the same thing and it never gets done. You tell them there is an issue ahead of time and they say we will deal with it later making a constant circle of having to chat with them for help. It’s the worst app for contract shift work by a long shot.

### 1/5 — Discouraging and drawn out process

*2026-01-07*

I’ve began to felt as if this was a scam app controlled by AI or automated messaging. I’ve tried another agency and each of my documents have been verified within 24-48 hours. It’s been nearly 3 weeks everything says pending, not verified. I was told all I needed was a 2nd covid shot then I was good to go. I was strongly against it but got it anyway. Only to be left in pending since Christmas. You can try to contact Customer service. But they will give you the same generic responses with no effort to actually resolve the issue. I truly dislike speaking ill of any company, but these 4.5/5 star rating must have been when it was great. Good luck to whoever read this. Hopefully you will have a better experience than I have with this company.

### 1/5 — CNA

*2025-12-03, version 4.0.9*

I am very disappointed in how Nurseio handles issues with facilities that lie and make healthcare professionals look bad. This has been incident after incident and in order to protect their 1-2 facilities that they do have is ridiculous. I can only wonder why there are not many facilities using Nurseio

### 1/5 — Not enough area

*2025-10-13, version 4.0.2*

They don’t cover a lot of states. They don’t have shifts in WA.

### 1/5 — They don’t review your info!

*2025-10-04, version 4.0.1*

I downloaded the app months ago and I did the onboarding process. I was told everything was pending. I forgot I even did this and didn’t check back for literal months. I just hopped on today out of curiosity and everything is still pending. Ridiculous!

### 1/5 — Not responsive.

*2025-08-14*

It’s been over 2 weeks and I’ve yet to verified. The same message shows on the login page showing they’re reviewing it. After 2 weeks I sided and was told it usually takes 2 days. I waited almost 20 min to talk to a real person and was told that they’re not in my area. Yet I was informed by several CNA’s that they’re use this app to pickup shifts. When asked, the person chatting with me stopped responding.

**Developer response:** Hello! My name is Isabella, and I'm the Customer Experience Manager here at NurseIO. First off, I'm very sorry for the wait. It's not the experience we want for our users. ### 5/5 — Dissatisfied

*2025-03-21*

I can’t pick up shifts, app doesn’t work. Contacted them , no response. My phone company says my iPhone has no issues. It’s there app.
This is ridiculous, can’t get a hold of them. If you get to talk to them and get a shift. I travel almost an hour, shift cancelled and they never told me . The people at place did.
What a disappointment

### 5/5 — CNA

*2024-12-31, version 3.7*

Wish I had more time to work

### 5/5 — Logging hours issues

*2024-05-19*

App automatically closes when trying to submit hours. So a hour and a half later i finally got it to work on the internet app instead of the nirseio app and it let me submit my hours.

### 5/5 — Nurseio great employer

*2022-09-08*

This has been the best year of my life when it comes to working for this company. They are very professional. There is always a variety of shifts to choose from. I have been steadily employed for a year now making full time hours with this company. Someone is always available 24hrs a day if you have any questions are concerns. I recommend Nurseio giving the 5 stars plus.

### 5/5 — Nurseio

*2022-09-08*

One thing I love about Nurseio is that a lot of these facilities offer 12hr shifts and you can easily pick up on the app. They have plenty of facilities to chose from which is even better!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the great feedback! The variety of facilities to choose from on the Nurseio app is a perk many healthcare workers love!
