## What is Nutanix Xi IoT Sensor?

The Nutanix Xi IoT app lets you use your mobile camera as an Internet of Things sensor to upload and process video with AI inferencing apps running in the cloud.

The Nutanix Xi IoT app enables you to easily experience the power of the Xi IoT Platform  that simplifies IoT infrastructure and application lifecycle management. The Xi IoT platform enables you to quickly build and deploy intelligent applications at planet scale across a public or private cloud infrastructure.

Capture video and upload it to the cloud, which is then processed by your choice of AI inferencing apps. Examples of what AI inferencing can do include detecting and recognizing objects like people, cars, or animals - even detecting emotions through facial recognition. 

In the Xi IoT app, slide left to see what's being captured or slide right to play back your video with the results.

Intelligence in The Cloud
AI-inferencing apps draw inferences from your captured video and then stream the video, tagged with the inferred objects, on your phone or mobile device.

Capture video directly from your phone or upload any existing video stored on your phone’s video library.  View the analyzed video results in a live stream, or download the resulting video to view and share!
