### 3/5 — Need to update ingredients search option!!

*2022-09-13, version 1.4.4*

Love my NutriBullet and use it regularly. Always creating my own recipes. I Love the ability that it measures the ingredients for you and pretty straightforward to use. However, very disappointed that it is missing very basic ingredients like FLAXSEEDS and BEET JUICE!!??? I cannot comprehend how such basic healthy ingredients are not available in the ingredient list?
The app needs to be updated with a better ingredient list option and if that’s not a possibility then they need to add a feature where we can enter manually the ingredient and all of its nutritional caloric information.
Similar to MyFitnessPal.

### 3/5 — Inaccurate Nutrition Tracking

*2020-06-04, version 1.4.4*

I enjoy using my NutriBullet Balance for it measuring/weighing features. However, I believe the nutrition tracking is inaccurate. This is due to the fact that when I create a recipe the app only allows me to enter generic ingredients or THEIR brands. When I entered the same recipe in the Myfitnesspal app, it allows me to bar scan the product I’m using and thus creates more accurate nutrition tracking. NutriBullet’s tracker indicated 192 calories while Myfitnesspal indicated 326 calories. That’s a big difference for someone watching their daily caloric intake. Without accurate nutritional information, doesn’t that defeat the purpose behind the features of this product?

### 2/5 — Wish I could set goals for pregnancy

*2020-02-23, version 1.4.4*

I would love to easily get recipes and set goals for pregnancy. I’m looking for lots of calcium, folate, protein, iron etc.... it’s frustrating to not be able to set these goals

### 2/5 — App needs work

*2020-01-07, version 1.4.4*

There are issues with being able to save some of the crest your own recipes. Connecting to the blender through the app is something of a hassle since it has to be connected through the app and the app isn’t always wanting to cooperate.

### 2/5 — Creating your own recipes

*2019-11-16, version 1.4.4*

I have try different ways of creating my own recipient to no luck.
I try connected through Bluetooth, I have try not connected and the result is the same. It measures the ingredients all right, but will not record the name of the ingredients.
The most important information is missing.
Calories, carbs, protein etc,.
I really hope they will look into fixing their app.

### 1/5 — Fix your database issues

*2019-08-23, version 1.3*

Every two weeks I have to delete and reinstall the entire app because the database keeps getting corrupted, showing no recipes and all favorites are wiped out.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2019-08-19, version 1.3*

Followed all the instructions on how to create your own recipe. Weighed everything but the whole recipe is blank; no names of ingredients just weights, no nutritional information.

What a waste of time and money in something that doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Love the blender, not the app

*2019-07-23, version 1.3*

All but three of the recipes I didn’t create myself have vanished. That alone would not give it a one star but the help button on the app only has help for the blender , not the app, except faq on how to connect the app and blender. From other reviews this is a long-standing issue that they’ve had time to fix or at least provide faq work around info for but they haven’t bothered.

### 1/5 — Custom recipes is a disaster

*2019-07-17, version 1.3*

I’m sure the app when using a prebuilt recipe, but once you try to make your own recipe, that’s where things quickly fall apart. The convoluted interface is useless. The instruction manual is useless. Not much thought was put into it.

Edit: reading through the comments, this app seems to be abandonware. Poor reviews from a year ago seem to not have been addresses. I’ll be returning the blender and deleting the app from my device. Don’t waste your time, return the blender now. It’s a shame apple allows this low quality app to be available on the App Store.

### 3/5 — Great product. App needs work.

*2019-06-12, version 1.3*

The product is great but with all good products the app can break it or make it when it comes to smart devices. Love the ability to weight items. Love how it keep tracks of nutrients and goes into health app so well.

Where it falls for me is creating recipes. Once you create it and save it stays in the create recipe and keeps old contents. You have to delete everything manually and start over if you are making something new.

I also would like to see recipes for other things like salsa and tomato based drinks for morning cleanse drinks. I’ve found several online and even on NutriBullets site. It should be in this app and it is not.

### 1/5 — C’mon people

*2019-05-16, version 1.3*

Great idea but they do not care about this app. It’s a selling point for the blender but it’s trash. The app, not the blender. Blender is great.

The app CONSTANTLY crashes while trying to make a recipe or create your own, so you’re stuck with half ingredients in the cup but a recipe from step one after you relaunch it.

The app isn’t optimized so on my iPhone 10 it has a black frame all around it...so cheap.

Searching for a recipe is confusing. if you tap into a recipe and go back it starts you back at the top so you lose scroll-position which is super confusing.

C’mon NutriBullet...expectations are higher from a brand like you.

Get👏 it 👏 together👏

### 2/5 — Love-Hate relationship

*2019-05-08, version 1.3*

I am having the same problem as another reviewer: all data except Create Your Own recipes are gone at random!! I open the app after connecting my blender as usual and all data is gone! I am still logged into my account but all of my saved Favorites and in general searching through the A-Z section, only 2, sometimes none, recipes are showing! I have to delete the app, re-download it, log back in and sometimes that doesn’t even solve the problem. I just did this actually and all the recipes are there not logged in. I just logged in and all my saved favorites are gone. The concept of this Bluetooth smart weighing sensor is great since I don’t need measuring cups and the animation is helpful as it fills up as you fill your cup and is awesome for precise calorie tracking. Very convenient but all of this awful technical difficulties makes it not worth it. PLEASE fix this data wipe issue!!!

### 2/5 — Missing Recipe Workaround - READ BELOW

*2019-04-11, version 1.3*

I’ve had my blender for 10 months, and I use it daily. Took me about 6 months to figure out how to input my own recipes, which is a pain, but worth it. For the past month the Bluetooth sensor in the blender itself hasn’t worked, and I’m finally on a backorder list for a new unit under the warranty.

The blender still works, just manually, but this is where my recipes are kept. So I was surprised yesterday morning when they were all gone. The only recipes left were the ones I had manually added, and there had been no app update in the past 24 hours. After thinking about it, reading all the reviews where others are experiencing this issue, and fiddling around, I logged out of the app. Lo and behold, THE MISSING RECIPES RETURNED. Minus, of course, my custom recipes. I can’t login anymore, but I have my favorite recipes back where they belong.

Other than that, the screen size is not optimized for X phones, the recipes are limited and I’ve seen very few added in the past year. Not the greatest app in the world for this game-changing blender that challenges Ninja’s price point. If they plan to take this blender to the next level, a lot of love is needed for this app.

### 1/5 — App useless

*2019-03-06, version 1.3*

The NutriBullet hype is the use of the application. The NutriBullett Balance app doesn’t have functions to edit, delete or modify to correct errors. Just spoke to NutriBullet company and representative said he’d advise the app programmers of issues. However just looked at app reviews and appears application issues have been ongoing for a long time.

The NutriBullett blender has no value if the application doesn’t work. I am returning the blender! And deleting the app from my iPad.

### 1/5 — Missing recipes

*2019-02-25, version 1.1*

I just bought the device and installed this app and used it a few times. I need using some good recipes and all of a sudden they are missing. Getting frustrated with this poorly designed app.

### 3/5 — Has potential but...

*2019-02-15, version 1.1*

I really wanted to like this app. I think it has the potential to be amazing, but it lacks a lot of functions.
1. Would like to upload to MyFitnessPal with all my workouts and other food items. The app is too segregated from my other meals and workouts.

2. Would like to be able to scan a food item instead of using a generic item like pea protein which they show as 0 calories instead of the Vega protein I am using that has 160 calories.

I love the video help! I was able to watch one on how to create your own recipe and it worked without a hitch! I am using my IPad and not my phone.

### 1/5 — App crashes and Manual Mode unclear

*2019-02-11, version 1.1*

App crashes when trying to save custom recipes.

The most egregious thing is that there is no way to just select a Manual mode time based cycle, with no requirement to create a custom recipe. There are preset time based pulses from 15 seconds to 45 seconds but you can’t use them.

There should be a big green button on the Dashboard of the app that lets you select Manual pulse times with 1 push.

As it stands the app is organized in an unfriendly way, with multiple UI/UX mistakes. You would spend more time in the app then actually making your smoothie.

### 1/5 — Shuts down in “create your own” recipe mode

*2019-02-08*

Recipes are decent but the best part about this app was the fact that it could connect to your blender and track ingredients in CYO mode. Worked for one smoothie, and then for each one after that the app just shuts down after the base calibrates.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible Product and App

*2022-12-02, version 1.4.4*

How can an organization this successful, with this kind of distribution have such a terrible product. I’ve had to reset the app several times, rename myself blender and now, on this final failure, I am ultimately throwing the whole thing away and moving onto another product. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2020-06-22, version 1.4.4*

Well, not worthless if you’re simply looking up recipes.... I saved a recipe 3 times and and even saved the recipe as a favorite and it won’t save. I wanted to understand nutritional info on some adjustments to a standard recipe and it just deleted it (or never saved) just awful... what’s the point of creating a profile if nothing saves?????

### 1/5 — Man this Terrble

*2020-01-12, version 1.4.4*

Ok as much as they charge for their products you would think they would invest in the app. I created an account but getting an error message, reset my password and still saying invalid credentials. I hope the blender works better then the app.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2020-01-06, version 1.4.4*

Love the blender itself but the app is ridiculously confusing and it doesn’t work properly! The point to the app is to help you track and keep you balanced and it’s very far from that at the moment! I hope the can fix it soon but considering reviews are at least a year old the may take long to fix or may not fix at all! Disappointed

### 1/5 — Good concept, but....

*2020-01-03, version 1.4.4*

Adding food items to the pantry and creating New recipe is way too Time consuming. The app desperately needs as barcode reader. If I had known the app was so lacking in this feature, I would not have purchase this blender.

### 1/5 — Stuck on calibrating

*2019-11-17, version 1.4.4*

Worked once or twice after I bought this at Costco. Now when I try a recipe, it is stuck on the first step calibrating. Works manually but I didn’t buy this as an expensive limited manual blender. Contact support and they send a new grey plastic balance ring which did absolutely nothing. Main issue was that it did work and I loved it.

### 1/5 — Search option to enter ingredient does not work.

*2019-09-26, version 1.3*

Unable to create my own recipe. The search for ingredients function is broken. No place to enter the cursor and the onscreen keyboard does not show up. It’s a buggy app that has not been optimized for IPhone X and up.

### 1/5 — App kills the experience

*2019-09-24, version 1.3*

The blender is really good but the app is completely useless. It crashes most of the times and is quite buggy when it works. I’m sure any high school student can do a better job in developing this app. I would recommend buying a regular NutriBullet instead of wasting additional money on the Bluetooth model.

### 1/5 — Horrible app, decent blender

*2019-08-30, version 1.3*

The blender itself overall works pretty good. After having this blender and app for a few years now, I will say I have tolerated it, not enjoyed it. This app though is absolutely horrendous. The development team needs to step up their game and fix this embarrassment of an app. The app is horribly buggy, consistently not allowing me to add ingredients to a custom blend (I have already reported this bug). The app has weird memory issues, showing old ingredients when I select to create a new recipe, something which it has NOT done in the past, but does now. The layout of the app is confusing and convoluted. The app shows all nutritional information when adding ingredients EXCEPT THE SUGAR CONTENT! WHAT??? Why doesn’t this show the sugar content as I am building my shake? HUGE oversight.

Overall, this app feels as if it was built overnight. Total embarrassment.

### 1/5 — Recipes always disappear!

*2019-08-26, version 1.3*

I don’t understand why this keeps happening. The app just deletes all recipes except for two or three. And I try to delete and download it again, which loses all my data. How can this is resolved???

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it

*2018-10-14, version 1.1*

It has great simple features of the future that work perfectly with the blender got it from khols and love it.

### 5/5 — Truly Love it

*2018-02-01, version 1.0.2*

I had a little problem getting the VN to work for me in the beginning but have been able to work it out. Thank you Customer Service for your quick reply. Now I can use all the features of this blender and truly love it! Thank you 🙏🏼

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review & feedback. Please contact our Customer Service Department at (833) 622-2500 so we may walk through the app together.

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2017-12-28, version 1.0.2*

Best app ever! Can track my nutrition now. My diabetic mother has an easy way to filter recipes that work for her!
Keep it up, Nutribullet!

### 5/5 — Don’t let your smoothie be a calorie bomb

*2017-11-28, version 1.0.1*

Before using this app, my favorite recipes involved a lot of bananas, pineapple, & coconut water. While the smoothies tasted delicious, I found myself gaining weight. Now, the NutriBullet Balance gives me the information I need to get back on track with my diet goals without the hassle of having to write everything down.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2019-06-29, version 1.3*

As a cancer survivor eating right is the ticket! I love what I can create and track what I consume. Problem lately is the app keeps crashing when creating a new recipe and it crashes when you want to add ingredient... I have not deleted and reloaded yet because i just know I’m going to loose all my persona recipes....

### 4/5 — Please Update!!

*2019-01-13, version 1.1*

We were very satisfied with the blender and the variety of recipes provided on the app, but the app would be much better if it was updated to format iPhone X!

### 4/5 — Needs some improvements

*2018-08-02, version 1.1*

I love that you can get exact nutrition facts as you pour it in but it needs a few tweaks. It would be amazing if we could add things that aren’t just natural or NutriBullet brand. For example if I could type in a different brand of protein powder or something as simple as lemonade instead of just lemon juice. Also it would amazing if I could scan a barcode and it come up as an ingredient. I would also really appreciate it if I could connect this app the MyFitnessPal app! It is a great start in this product and app! I can’t wait to see what improvements they can make to the app!

### 4/5 — Integration

*2018-05-10, version 1.0.2*

Request: Can you make the daily nutrition tracking data flow into my fitness pal somehow?????

### 4/5 — App is great

*2018-02-12, version 1.0.2*

Been using this for a couple of weeks.

Pantry is ok
Shopping list is ok
Tracking is ok
Recipes are ok
Bluetooth fails if you have speakers connected

There are hundreds of recipes and its kind of hard to find what I am looking for. I need to filter by the qty of calories and the qty of proteins, and so on.

Please add this functionality

### 3/5 — I liked it!

*2023-05-31*

I’ve loved my balance and have fit the 4-5 years I’ve had it. But the app doesn't seem to accept the last iPhone update update. So now having to just make empties with it. No longer calorie counting & it measuring for me. Sad, as I always found value with this product & app. Before phone update I’d have give a 5 star. Now after… just a 3 I guess.
