## What is nutrx?

nutrx is a simple, private iOS app for tracking your daily nutrient intake.
There's no preset list. You decide exactly what to track — Vitamin D in IU, protein in grams, caffeine in cups, magnesium in pills — whatever is relevant to your life. Set your own daily targets, log in seconds with a tap, and watch your progress throughout the day.
What makes nutrx different
Most health apps want your data. nutrx doesn't. Everything you log stays exclusively on your device — there's no account to create, no server to connect to, no company analysing your habits. Your health data is yours, full stop.
Features
• Define any nutrient with a custom name, unit, step size, and daily target
• Log intake with a single tap — + and − buttons right on the main screen
• Swipe to enter an exact amount or edit a nutrient on the fly
• Visual progress bars — blue in progress, green when you hit your target, orange when you go over
• Full history of every past day, stored locally and never deleted
• Works completely offline — no Wi-Fi, no data, no dependency on any external service
• Daily check-in reminder at noon if you haven't logged yet (optional)
• No ads, no tracking, no third-party SDKs
Privacy by design
nutrx has no backend. There is no server to breach, no account to hack, and no company profiting from your health data. If you delete the app, your data is gone — because it only ever lived on your device.
All core tracking features are free and will stay that way. A Pro tier is planned for AI-powered insights — but logging, history, and everything you use daily will never be gated.
Track what matters. Nothing else.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.11 — 2026-05-01

v1.11
Nutrient groups on Apple Watch - The Watch app now shows your nutrients split by group with section headers, matching the layout you're used to on your iPhone. If you only have the default General group, headers stay hidden — same behaviour as the iPhone.

Smoother "at most" progress bars - "At most" nutrients now stay green right up to your limit and only flip to red when you actually exceed it. The bar also blends gradually as you approach the cap, instead of jumping straight to orange. A small change that makes a big difference when you're trying to stay under a target.

Bug fixes - Fixed an issue where the Watch app was built correctly but not included in the iOS archive, causing it to be missing from TestFlight builds. Fixed Watch CloudKit sync not receiving push notifications from iPhone, which could cause nutrients to appear stale on the Watch after logging on your phone.

### 1.10 — 2026-04-18

v1.10

Apple Watch app: nutrx is now on your wrist. The Watch app shows all your active nutrients for today with goal-type-aware progress bars and a + button on each row to log one step increment — without reaching for your phone.

Watch face complications: Three complication styles for your Watch face: a circular ring gauge showing your daily completion, a corner count, and an inline text showing "X / Y on target" at a glance. They refresh every time you log.

Fully in sync: The Watch app reads from the same data store as your iPhone — no pairing, no setup, no separate account. Log on your wrist and it shows up instantly on your phone, and vice versa.

What's not on Watch (intentionally): The Watch app does one thing: log intake. Nutrient management, history, settings, and groups all stay on iPhone. We kept the scope tight so the wrist experience stays fast and focused.

Faster first launch: On a brand new install with no prior data, onboarding now appears instantly instead of waiting for the iCloud sync check.

Bug fixes: Fixed dose reminders occasionally re-firing after being suppressed by a logged intake. Fixed streak flame badges in History ignoring goal types for maximum and range nutrients.

### 1.9 — 2026-04-06

v1.9 - Goal types

Every nutrient now has a goal type — and you pick which one makes sense for it.

At least — the default. Hit your target or go over. Great for protein, water, vitamins.
At most — stay under your limit. The bar turns orange if you exceed it. Good for caffeine, sodium, sugar.
Between — set a minimum and a maximum. Your bar is green when you're in the range, orange when you go over. Perfect for nutrients where both too little and too much matter.

Live preview while you set it up: The nutrient form shows a small preview bar as you configure your goal type and values, so you see exactly what your Today screen will look like before saving.

Everything adapts: Progress bars, streak calculations, analytics hit rate, and chart colours all update to reflect your goal type. The whole app speaks the same language now.

No new permissions. No new data. Just more flexibility in how you define what "on track" means for you.

### 1.8 — 2026-04-03

v1.8 - Analytics & charts

Tap any nutrient in the My Nutrients tab to open a dedicated analytics screen. Three cards give you a complete picture of how you're tracking over time.

Daily intake chart: A bar chart showing your intake for each day in the selected period — 7, 30, or 90 days. A dashed line marks your daily target so you can see at a glance which days you hit it and which you didn't. Days with zero intake still appear as empty bars so gaps are visible.

Period stats: Hit rate, daily average, and your target — all derived from the selected period. Switch between 7D, 30D, and 90D to see how your consistency changes over different timeframes.

Day-of-week patterns: A fixed 4-week breakdown showing your average intake by weekday. The strongest day is highlighted in blue. Useful for spotting whether you consistently fall short on certain days.

No new permissions, no new data leaving your device. All charts are computed entirely from your local intake history.

### 1.7 — 2026-04-02

v1.7 — Expandable Cards & Smarter Reminders

Tap any nutrient card on the Today screen to see a chronological breakdown of every intake logged for that nutrient today — including times, amounts, and notes. A quick + button at the bottom lets you log directly from the expanded view.

Also in this update:
— Set dose reminders while creating a nutrient, not just when editing it
— Nutrient rows in My Nutrients now show daily target, reminder count, and step size at a glance
— Cleaner empty group delete confirmation
— Keyboard now hides after adding your first nutrient during onboarding
