### 4/5 — Off to a good start but…

*2024-03-10*

Like Notion, itself, it’s trying to do a lot and too much for me. I just wanted to be able to select a single page, a short task list, to display on my iPad in a widget. Instead I have to choose a database. So I created a journal and then create pages named after the tasks instead of creating one page with a short list on it. I’ll deal with it because who knows when the Notion devs will get around to adding widgets like the ones this app can create. The next problem is that it costs so much to buy outright and while there is a subscription option I am all subscribed out. For a bit more than twice the cost of paying outright I can buy a full featured animation app. And this app is just one of many apps out there that have similar business models. Sorry for the rant.

### 5/5 — It’s a no-brainer

*2024-01-20*

With Notions abysmal widget system, this app is a breath of fresh air. The interface is slick, the features are comprehensive, and it is clear that the developer truly cares about this work. I enjoy using this to navigate my daily tasks. If you’re thinking about using this app, it is a no-brainer

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2024-01-01*

Thank you for making this. I have been wanting something like this for a while now and you’ve done a great job even in the early stages. Instant purchase 💸

One thing I noticed is that while checkbox items list the column title, select items just list the value. Maybe adding some ability for each property to show or hide the column header. I can see some wanting it and others not wanting it.

Another cool add might be the ability to add views to allow you to add views to the widget that you configure from notion itself as a way of keeping things consistent with a single source of truth.

Thanks again!

### 5/5 — Love where this is heading

*2023-11-26*

Couldn’t find an email for the developer so just doing feedback via a review. I love where this is heading…and only just a few revisions in! Would be great to just be able to use a filter/view already on the database vs creating one in the app itself. Not sure what’s possible here.

Also would be nice to either control the refresh schedule or at least note what Apple allows for by default in a FAQ page in the app.

Also I’ve never tried developing one of these myself so not sure what’s exposed in terms of functionality but the ability to scroll to additional database items if more exist beyond what the widget can show.

Thanks for writing a missing piece of critical functionality for being able to use Notion for tasks!

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your kind words, and I'm glad you like our app. Regarding your questions:

It is impossible to use the filter/view you have created on Notion due to limitations of Notion's developer API.

The widget is scheduled to be refreshed every 10 minutes most time of a day, and iOS may adjust this schedule depending on how you use the widgets. I agree with you; there should be some notes about this in the app. I will add them in upcoming versions, along with a refresh button on the widget if you are using iOS 17.

It is impossible to scroll in a widget in the current iOS system—sorry about that.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us at notion-widgets@betalemon.xyz.

Thank you for your valuable feedback!

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2023-11-22*

Can’t believe this has been possible all this time and no one else has created this app. Worth the one time payment, I use with my second brain in Notion to keep open projects on the widget.

### 1/5 — App Store Listing Doesn’t Mention Price

*2026-01-24*

App is read only without getting the premium version. Can’t stand app developers that do that.

### 1/5 — 时区问题

*2024-12-16*

買了幾個月了，時區問題一直未修復，不清楚基於什麼時區來計算，nutshell內的時間總比notion中晚一天

### 1/5 — 2.0 renders Widgets useless

*2024-06-27*

I primarily downloaded this app to leverage the widget functionality - with the previous version, I had the ability to show properties on widgets with the name of the property included. With the update, now the property is displayed as simply a checkbox with no icon or text - with multiple checkboxes on the widget it’s impossible to tell what property each one represents.

What a disappointing update - why would helpful functionality be removed in favor of something effectively useless?

### 2/5 — ?

*2025-05-09*

Makes no sense

### 3/5 — Syncing Post Update

*2026-07-31*

I really appreciate that you work to provide this. It’s been beautiful. It’s been running my life for more than a year. Truly, I’m dependent on it for executive functioning of my home and career.

But an update 2-4 months ago broke something that has caused many pages to stop syncing with the online database & 1-2 have stopped visually adjusting to tag shifts in the app (they do save the changes when opening the page in app). Haven’t had time to research seeing if there’s a way to fix it beyond waiting for another update.

It’s also ‘forgot’ I had premium several times but that seems to have resolved, and while inconvenient is easily restored through the store.

Reviewing bc the app prompted for a review today; if I figure it out or it gets fixed I’ll update.

P.S. I miss the ability to edit icons.

### 3/5 — Relative to today filter issues

*2026-04-11*

There seems to be a bug with the “is relative to today” date filter. When set to “past [any period],” tasks due today are excluded entirely — even when a specific time is set (tested to see if it’s a time zone issue - it is not). The range display shows today as the end date (e.g. “April 4 → April 11”), making it look like today is included, but it isn’t. Please fix

### 3/5 — No contact option, broken sort

*2025-03-01*

I created a widget for my Notion tasks from a specific table, the sort function doesn’t work. I’ve tried canvas and list, medium and large, different sorting in widget settings. I tried to reach out, but your website just circles back here.

### 3/5 — Imported the task but the widget doesn’t work

*2025-01-07*

When I press the widget it shows me a search page, and I can’t find the list that is inside my app.

This app doesn’t have good instructions for setting up widgets - my only use case for this app

### 3/5 — Good

*2024-04-24*

I mean it just showcase your data and if you have a todo list you cannot mark or unmark, instead it will get you in nutshell app to see your database and after that it will still get you to notion and the.ñn you can mark or unmark your tasks, I mean not their fault I didn’t understand very well and just pay pro features 😅 but it works for what they say it works

**Developer response:** Hello,
I understand your concern about the lack of ability to directly edit your Notion page from the app. We have updated the app to provide support for this functionality. Please give it a try if you'd like.

### 4/5 — Love the app, not the icon

*2024-10-21*

Can you make some alternative icons to select from? Thanks!

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for the feedback! There will be a redesigned icon, stay tuned for it 😀

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 좋은 Widget입니다.

*2025-01-31*

이 앱과 함께라면, 노션을 활용하여 Todo Widget을 대체할 수 있습니다. 물론 불편한 UX가 있긴하지만, 개선해주시면 좋을거 같아요.

### 5/5 — Notion Must-Have!

*2025-01-17*

Long have I searched in vain for decent widgets to display info from my myriad Notion databases. Lord knows the official Notion widgets are worse than useless: constantly broken and barely functional.

This app is remarkably efficient and effective. The widgets are highly customizable and well-designed, but the bonus on all that is the app itself which is actually surprisingly useful on its own, giving me a streamlined view of my chosen databases.

A+ excellent work!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-01-04*

I absolutely love this for displaying my task list as a widget. I don’t know why notion doesn’t have something like this. This app is superior to notion calendar for tasks and other databases you want to track easily on the go.

The only thing that I have noticed is the app pulls incorrect due dates and I do not see a way to fix it. In my “today” filtered view, it is displaying tasks I have due tomorrow as due today and missing tasks I have due today. The message under the filter says “Jan 4 -> Jan 5” (it seems to be a notion api issue, as other apps I’ve tried also have this issue) I have found a work around but filtering “past week” and “due as unchecked”. Then it shows my today tasks.

Keep up the amazing work, Devs!

### 5/5 — Must have Notion on the go!

*2024-11-30*

I have tried several similar apps for the past 2 years and Nutshell feels instantly right. It is fast and easy to create filtered lists. Solid coding behind this.

### 5/5 — Plz keep going

*2024-11-25*

I’ve been looking forward to this kind of app so far. Please make it improve especially in stability and usability wise.
Thank you for making this app.

Plz add a feature like Notion DB, where if there is a filter, new created page has the same filter in the first place

### 5/5 — Love the new icon

*2024-11-02*

Great app

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for the feedback! There will be a redesigned icon, stay tuned for it 😀

### 5/5 — Here it is

*2024-10-15*

I knew this had to exist somewhere and here it is! This is brilliant and makes Notion USEABLE!

### 5/5 — Best widget for iPhone and iPad

*2024-08-21*

For a long time I was searching for this app. It is the perfect widget for notion tasks, not only allow you to view the tasks you can also change properties, and with the checkbox functionality you can complete tasks without even opening notion.

The ability to view and hide properties, create filters and arrange view is just a cherry on top, you can make it so tailored to your needs that you can have a whole page full of different widgets for a quick over view of multiple databases.

If you need a great widget to easily view and manage your tasks in Notion from your home page, this app is for you!

### 5/5 — I would buy if I could scroll

*2024-05-18*

This app is great and has a near perfect widget. However, the inability to scroll or interact at all is a huge deal breaker for me. I’d buy the lifetime sun today if I could scroll, or tick a box, or quickly add to a database.

### 5/5 — Really awesome exactly what I expected and looks good too

*2024-02-08*

Great
