Timer behaves oddly it stops at end of each over so does not count total time at crease. Whilst I love everything about it, the current version of the app seems to have a couple of issues when you get into the sillier aspects of some matches. Something should be inputted for a player to be able to bat twice, and adjusting a target shouldn’t really require a change to max overs as well. Squad numbers incredibly brilliant addition but could be used in other places as well such on the main scorecard and be laid out next to, rather than below, a player name (would like to see 3 20 J Roy on the main interface eg). ### 4/5 — Excellent app *2018-05-14* My team and I use this app for scoring all our games. The interface is clear and easy to understand. The options to record batsman’s wagon wheel and bowler’s length is also super helpful. We have used this app for over 5 years now and the number of updates and tweaks are regular and are always looking to enhance user experience. Would be great if they could lower the price of the app, but once you start using it you will not be looking for alternatives. ### 4/5 — Updates Required *2016-11-28, version 4.3.15* Dear Support Team I'm Ajmal Using NXCricket Scoring application from long time, noticed few minor errors which to be corrected or updated 1. In Tournament Options - Full Overs not taking for run rate calculation if a team all out 2. If a team chased in 200 runs 19.1 in calculation it must be 200 divided by 19.166 (1 ball / 6) 0.1 = 0.166 0.2 = 0.333 0.3 = 0.500 0.4 = 0.667 0.5 = 0.833 0.6 = 1 3. Team Merging Option also required 4. Score Format to JPEG or Image files also appreciated It's excellent App ### 3/5 — Bowlers line and length record *2016-11-08, version 4.3.15* While recording bowlers line and length if u don't click the pitch spot and accept with that record screen then u can't select picthing ball spot and u can't un accept the same. Suggestion that unless the pitching spot is not selected accept button should not be active. ### 4/5 — Big Improvement and easy to use *2016-05-16, version 4.3.6* This app has everything required to score games. I was able to umpire and score at the same time using this app. I also was able to quickly assist the scorers with where they had made errors. A big improvement. Easy and simple to use. You can add players to teams quickly and move everything along. I ended up throwing the umpire counter back in th bag as the app did it all for me. The new colour scheme also makes it easier to read when out in the middle. This is a very stable app with options to cover almost all game formats. Great work developers keep it up. ### 4/5 — An excellent app *2016-02-03* I use it in Chennai, India, to maintain scores of my club team here. And everyone loves the app. It's easy to use and extremely fast. Provides every piece of info in a dashboard view. Also maintains season's statistics, etc. a feature that I haven't used much. But overall, the best scoring app out there! Just a question: can we use the app to stream scores live on any website? Would be a great feature addition if you can enable this. ### 4/5 — Need to Fix playing 11 *2015-04-27, version 4.2.6* When I enter 14 members of the squad including the substitute players, in the scorecard it’s showing all the 14 players. It should be fixed in such a way only playing 11 should be shown in the scorecard. ### 3/5 — First class *2015-02-22, version 4.2.4* Great app. Would like to see some kind of sync for international games. The ICC World Cup for example. The only complain I have is that it needs an iPad version. I do most of my scoring on my iPad and the current arrangement is not user friendly ### 5/5 — Great App *2014-09-08, version 4.1.13* I have been using this for several years and taught several novice scorers to use it, which can be extremely useful when on tour. One request - can we have a default for not having the Wagon Wheel on - that is THE thing which most often confounds a novice, so having it off by default would bee a great option ### 5/5 — Excellent App.. Even worth its high price *2014-08-28, version 4.1.13* Very good all round app to perform scoring. Scoring is extremely easy and can be even done by a fielder !!! One of the best things is undo buttons ( undo last ball, last over or ANYWHERE in the match. Couple of things.. It is missing - max overs per bowler, and ability to send a just one match (not the result, but the match, just like when using bluetooth) to another nxcricket app user, right now you have to send the entire nxcricket backup file. it would be perfect to be able to send that. One last thing is inability to add multiple players from contacts in one go. We have all players from other teams in gmail, and you have to select one player, save it, go back, select another player save it etc.. if implemented would make importing contacts from gmail/addressbook a breeeze. I would still give 5 stars to this app, inspite of these shortcomings. I hope the developers take this as constructive criticism and improve the app to make these changes in future updates. 8/26/2014: two years after my initial review , in this review I would still keep my 5 star rating!!! Updates have been added, albeit a little slowly, but worth the wait. Few other suggestions for developers - (1) add catches stats to tournament , similar to batting and bowling stats. (2) Possibly a fantasy league type points to allow certain points for runs, wickets, catches runouts, in order to define best all rounder for tournament... (3) ability to easily publish live scorecard to a website or FTP or rss or something easy by a click from within the app.. So that scorer can click a button in the app after every ball or over etc, and ppl who are following a match can get update. It could be a personal hosted website or similar.. That way the scores are not stuck inside the app and unleashed to the spectators who cannot go to the ground! These changes would add icing to an already wonderful app! ### 4/5 — Excellent for coaches/scorers *2014-03-08, version 4.1.8* *update* I have also noticed that players when added will automatically be designated as captain, which is inconvenient. I also found during today's matches, a couple of times names of boys from the opposing team were on the list to be selected as a bowler/batter, instead of just my team list. Only happened twice, but may be worth a look. Wagon wheel still needs to be aligned properly too. I coach cricket professionally and have used this app for 3 years now. I have found this app to be so useful for scoring and for reviewing the matches. It's easy to use and offers a great range of stats that younger teams especially find very cool. Only minor issues I have found is that when viewing the scorecard, the tab to go "back" will sometimes disappear when it's not supposed to and make it very difficult to return to the scoring page. The other is that the wagon wheel sections are from the centre of the pitch, rather than where batter stands at the end of the pitch. I also want to commend the developers for taking on board feedback constantly and working to improve the app. ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2014-02-15, version 4.1.7* I recently purchased your app and used it tonight for the first time at my sons under 10 match. It is brilliant!! At $8 this is expensive for an app and may put a few people off trying it, but it is worth every cent once you try it out. I used it last summer at the school at which I teach to score the 1st XI matches and it worked really well. Unfortunately it now won't even open and I can therefore no longer access last summer's stats - very frustrating. It was great but no longer works - a real shame! When I reviewed nxCricket - Cricket Score Book it stated that it is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. However, after I had purchased and downloaded the app it appeared under the iPhone and iPod touch apps heading and NOT the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad apps heading. Whether your scoring official, club cricket or unofficial games, even simulations, this is the gold standard in how to do cricket scoring. I hope the developers will keep this available through the store! ### 5/5 — Very good scoring app *2021-02-17, version 4.8.3* Scoring on the app is very easy to navigate and never have any issues with bugs or glitches. Only 2 bits I would say that can improve the app. Firstly, introduce a way where notes can be taken (i.e drinks break) so minutes spent at crease can be more accurate, also for general notes (i.e to note when bowlers appeal for wickets or when there is general stuff to be noted). Secondly, to bring in an option to add fielders for specific batsmen so on the wagon you can see where fielders are (i.e clicking on position to notify which position took the catch). However, the app is great so keep up the good work 👍🏻 ### 5/5 — NxCricket *2020-09-18, version 4.6.0* Excellent app, using since 2014. One of the best & easiest scoring application. Recently we are facing some issues with app, score card is not rotating when iPhone rotates.please fix this at the earliest. ### 5/5 — Great App *2019-11-18, version 4.5.5* I love the app. Very easy to use - I score while umpiring/coaching junior cricket (u/13) and the kids love all of the extra info in the report. Easy to rectify any problems/errors on the go. Only question is there a way to display time in/time at crease for the current batters. I know the info is recorded somewhere, but as we have a 30min time limit it would be very useful to have it on the scoring screen. ### 5/5 — Best on the market *2019-05-10, version 4.5.4* My biggest fear with these apps is that it will crash or I’ll get stuck operating it and I can’t move on (the games not stopping!). I’ve tried them all and have had issues, but this is one is the most intuitive so that I feel comfortable figuring it out on the fly (and it’s never crashed). It also has an impressive amount of features (worms, pitch maps, wagon wheels, play-cricket capability etc) and the reports are comprehensive and useful. Only minor criticism is that it hasn’t been updated in a long time. Possibly the work of one guy. There are plenty of improvements that could be made to the aesthetics - layout, colours, clarity fonts, customisation etc - especially in the reports. It could really do with the work of a specialist in this department (not a programmer). But still, extremely good. ### 5/5 — Partnership *2018-06-16, version 4.5.4* This app get a 5 star I have scored IPL Test One day T20 if I have 1 issue would be partnerships are not spot on then I would give this app 6 star rating ### 5/5 — V Good *2016-04-21* Best for cricket scoring ### 5/5 — Still the best! *2016-04-06, version 4.3.0* Despite having used nxCricket both on my iPhone and more recently iPad for the last three and a half seasons, I still give others a try to see if it can improved upon by another, but I'm yet to find one with the ease and effectiveness of this one. My only negative feedback I have to give other scorers at matches when they ask about it, is that unlike TCS, there is no direct uplink to the ECB's Play-Cricket website, though I always stress that nxCricket is so much more user friendly. *UPDATE* Great to see the inclusion of Play-Cricket in the app now, that was the only issue I had with it... ... Just as my club are about to move to a different league this season that don't use Play-Cricket. D'oh!!! 😲 ### 5/5 — Great Scoring Application, few bugs here there *2015-10-17, version 4.2.8* At first I have been using your App for many years now and I must say it is the best scoring app I have come across. I was probably the first of the few who might have purchased when it is initially launched. This app has matured quite a lot in times and I have seen it all from a very buggy to an efficient and accurate as it can be. So thank you. It has been a wonderful experience so far. I at least has referred 50+ teams to use this. I have been encountering couple of issues with the app which I have noticed and thought to report. 1. Team stats for a season does not calculate correct. Number of wickets and total scores are the few that I have encountered were incorrect. For example batsman's and bowler's individual stats differs from entire Batsmen or Bowler's stats page. 2. With intense use. The app freezes and I have to kill the app and relaunch it to make it function again. 3. When viewing the score card within the match by pressing the total. It takes away the toolbar 'Score' which takes us back to the score book.
