Last year it had everything I needed. Now it’s jus a map of the fair. Lived here my whole life, I think I can get around at the fair. **Developer response:** Our app is not produced or funded by the NY State Fair. It provides a list of daily events and where they are located. You are confusing our app with the official app which the fair developed and discontinued the next year. During the fair, the schedule opens to the events that are occurring at that time. ### 2/5 — Not enough detail *2012-08-29* Hopefully next year we can see more things like small booths and rides. Would be 4+ star if integrated all vendors and could search for things like "ice cream" or "livestock" as well as located where you actually were on the map..... ### 3/5 — Handy, but could use more *2011-08-26* This is great, but could be better if there was a way to run a search for vendors, attractions, etc. There should be a way to look for things in alpha order as well as by building number. Also, being able to tap a building, #, or area and a popup bubble shows what it is (Center of Progress Building). A "more info" option to learn what is in that location/ building would be ideal! Great start - hope it is built on for next year! The schedule kept updating while I was using it and the link to fair food never loaded. Last year the app was great. No list of vendors, minimal event schedule and no details about what events they do show. This is what you came up with? *2018-08-25* This app is almost completely useless. You used to be able to search for specific food vendors and it would at least give you a vague description. Now you can’t even do that. Throw a few thousand towards a capable developer and help yourselves out. **Developer response:** This app shows the daily schedule of the fair and the location of the events. This app is not produced or funded by the NY State Fair. The satellite map is limited by the last time a satellite image was taken and completely out of our control. ### 1/5 — Really?! The map has to be several years - it shows nothing but a dirt mound. Where are the schedules of the individual presentations? Where is the vendor list for food? This is our NYS tax dollars at work, I guess. Why am I surprised? Pathetic. ### 1/5 — How about updating it! *2016-08-05* Satellite view isn't correct shows grandstand and track.... 2 maps both old and probably new Schedule - show pre fair activities but nothing opens for fair schedule itself -basically worthless until updated - **Developer response:** We have no control over the satellite images as we don’t own the satellites. Clear maps, complete schedule of events. Good app! ### 4/5 — Helpful *2019-08-28* This app is better then I thought it would be. It lists the schedule of events, and as time goes by throughout the day, the app lists the most recent events. The map is interactive to some degree, you can tap the number listed on the building, and it contains the name of the building. Also, if you tap on an event from the schedule, it will show you on the map where it’s located. ### 4/5 — You should update this!!! *2013-07-28* You guys did a great job in this app, however advertise it! All over freakin' New York State there's tons of people who have an iPod/Phone that may want this app seriously! Nice job. ### 3/5 — Missing Feature *2017-08-17* I am not able to select the events that I want to attend and be sent a reminder of when they start. Makes it difficult to pre-plan my visit to make the most of my visit. I believe this was available last year. **Developer response:** You are confusing our app with the official app that the NY State Fair produced and discontinued the following year. Our app shows you what is happening as it happens and what is next. ### 3/5 — Okay so updates? *2014-09-01* So I'm not going by its schedule. I believe it's still stuck on last year which isn't too terrible. Iran having the mp in your phone is awesome but again.. GPS would be a wonderful addition to this ### 3/5 — It's ok, but ... *2014-08-28* ... It had the Harlem Wizards shows today listed at 11:30, 1 and 7pm. Arrived at 11:30 to learn that today's shows are at 1 and 4 pm. Haven't relied on it for any other showtimes this year, but I certainly won't now (used it last year with no issues). Otherwise is useful for telling you WHERE the things are, but as others have said, GPS capability would be fantastic. ### 3/5 — Needs more *2014-08-24* I agree w/others.
