### 2/5 — Address field on HPD

*2026-07-07, version 5.22.0*

The address field is not being accepted when clicked on. The field remains frozen

### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2026-04-05, version 5.19.0*

I used to report pothole with one click through the app now if you try to report pothole you’ll be directed to DOT Website. And you have to fill out a form

### 2/5 — Eh

*2026-01-11, version 5.18.1*

Whats the point of the app if its always gonna redirect you to the website

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-12-02, version 5.17.0*

All this app does is open a text message for you where some agent directs to a website to solve an issue that then redirects to 311. Which redirects you back to that website

### 1/5 — Integrate spell check!

*2025-11-17, version 5.17.0*

It’s 2025. This is NYC. Integrate spell check into this app already!

### 1/5 — NYC311

*2025-10-09, version 5.17.0*

App is not user friendly and it doesn’t allow you to make multiple complaints on some of the services , it doesn’t allow me to make Rodent complaints, I would give it 0 stars but I’m being generous..

### 2/5 — Please enable autocorrect

*2025-09-14, version 5.17.0*

Somehow autocorrect is turned off for text fields. It’s really annoying to type out something and have to manually backspace to correct any errors.

### 1/5 — Impossible to actually submit a complaint

*2025-09-10, version 5.17.0*

Would give it five stars if the app actually allowed you to submit a complaint. Gets stuck on the submit button and always have to go to the mobile web browser to actually submit a complaint. Chances of OTI fixing this are zero, of course.

### 1/5 — To report illegal parking

*2025-08-15, version 5.17.0*

this app need to have a platform so individuals can make a report, take photos of the vehicle that parks illegally on the street with or with out pay to the individuals who make the report

### 1/5 — Dysfunctional application.

*2025-08-04, version 5.17.0*

This application is totally awkward, unprofessional unusable. You cannot sign up, you cannot open it, you just can waste enormous amount of your time.

### 3/5 — Great app but

*2025-07-13, version 5.17.0*

App is cool but the actual service is bad. I've been reporting the bad conditions of this local playground for the past 2 months and nothing happened.

### 3/5 — Yeah but

*2025-06-26, version 5.17.0*

The app works well, but the city usually closes my ticket without fixing the problem. I think the city should show more respect for folks who are trying to make the city better and taking the time to report problems. Example: dangerous broken sidewalks. It’s a tripping hazard and then a lawsuit.

### 2/5 — Convenient but slow to take action

*2025-06-13, version 5.16.0*

I used this app to report a homeless person, but they weren’t able to find them because it took too long to send the outreach team. I love the idea of using technology to help people in need. Unfortunately, DHS and 311 need to improve their communication so outreach teams can be dispatched more quickly.

### 1/5 — Terrible usability, earlier features removed

*2025-05-23*

Still no support for third party keyboards after it was removed. This makes it very difficult to type descriptions. Identification of locations for complaints does not work when streets don't have buildings on them or are newer. Whole sections of Brooklyn are impossible to use the map for and addresses need to be typed in manually. No ability to resubmit tickets that were closed with no action taken. Not to mention the uselessness of NYPD in responding to any complaints. NYPD never does anything. They close all tickets and refuse to do their job.

### 1/5 — Most services, like EMT and Homeless Mobile Assistance

*2025-05-20, version 5.16.0*

It seems like most service requests, are not appropriately addressed/ processed. Most times it’s like the city wants to act like they did something but most times they do nothing about timely addressing the issues.
I feel like I just submit service requests for nothing because at times they just do not take care of the issues. Recently there was a catch basin that was full of trash but that was like the only significant service request I’ve seen that was acceptable done in a timely fashion. Their due diligence, their timely due diligence seems like they do not actually want to assist.

### 2/5 — App is fine but no results

*2025-05-09, version 5.15.0*

Can’t even begin to count the amount of illegal parking reports I’ve submitted. But they just get closed with no action from NYPD. They just lie and say they did. People getting free rein to park on sidewalks, crosswalks, blow red lights, honk unnecessarily. Infuriating

### 3/5 — Like the update, but more room for improvement

*2025-04-17*

After years of updates aimed at making the app more user-friendly, submitting a request has become much easier.

However, I've noticed that even when I submit a request, sometimes the team doesn’t actually come to check the situation. For example, I've made multiple requests regarding dirty sidewalks, but they keep closing them, stating there’s nothing there. I walk by these areas daily, and the issues remain, so it’s confusing how they can simply close these requests and move on.

I’m not sure why we continue to submit issues when they’re being “solved” or “closed” without any real resolution to the problems. Not sure why we’re submitting things when there’s no solutions to these things. Makes the app kind of redundant.

### 1/5 — Terrible usability, earlier features removed

*2025-03-22*

Still no support for third party keyboards after it was removed. This makes it very difficult to type descriptions. Identification of locations for complaints does not work when streets don't have buildings on them or are newer. Whole sections of Brooklyn are impossible to use the map for and addresses need to be typed in manually. No ability to resubmit tickets that were closed with no action taken.

Not to mention the uselessness of NYPD in responding to any complaints. They all go into the void.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-06-21, version 5.22.0*

This doesn’t work at all.

### 1/5 — Junk app for reporting problems

*2026-06-21*

I want to report a pothole. Why can’t I just take a picture and give you the pothole address? Instead, you ask me my home address, my email, my phone number. That’s too much and no one has the patience to fill out. A pothole is a pothole, it doesn’t matter who report it. All you need is a picture and location. Please make it simpler. The pothole in my neighborhood has been there for 2 months and no one is bothering to take a look. Even the traffic police, the one who gives parking ticket didn’t do anything. What a shame.

### 1/5 — Trash app

*2026-06-18, version 5.22.0*

The app is trash no with no accountability from the agency you report the complaint they take forever to respond.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-05-18, version 5.20.0*

App redirects to the website where you have to start your request from scratch. This app is useless. Fix it.

### 1/5 — 43rd precinct ignores complaints

*2026-05-12, version 5.20.0*

They’re lenient towards whites and blacks letting them get away with having loud barking and whining dogs every night from 10pm-7am which is violation of noise code, People are trying to sleep!!!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-04-05, version 5.19.0*

Can’t file a complaint due to unable to input an address.

### 1/5 — App is useless

*2026-03-31, version 5.18.3*

You can no longer easily submit a complaint in the App. It kicks to the website that has a never ending link tree saying "you can submit a complaint" but with no ability to do so. What a joke!!

### 1/5 — No good

*2026-03-07, version 5.18.3*

311 is a joke! The complaints gets closed within seconds of the submission saying the issue did not warrant a summons.

### 1/5 — Homeless Assistance

*2026-02-02, version 5.18.1*

NYC is becoming unlivable. Now they took off the homeless assistance option from the app because cops cant be bothered.

### 1/5 — Wrong info

*2026-01-29, version 5.18.1*

It shows no school , delayed trash , suspended larking due to sniw at night time but in the morning kids are studying trash is taken and tickets for everybody rely on this app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good App.

*2025-12-28, version 5.18.1*

Thanks. 🙏🏾

### 5/5 — Happy

*2025-11-03, version 5.17.0*

It’s ok.

### 5/5 — ASP rules notifications!!

*2025-02-27*

I love this app for one feature: notification of when alternate side parking is suspended. It comes the day before early enough to know you don’t need to move your car. It’s proactive (you don’t need to check for yourself). It’s accurate. It’s free. What’s not to love?

I’ve used it for nothing else. No idea how any of that works. I don’t care. Maybe one day I’ll have a look.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-11-27, version 5.8.0*

Use primarily for reporting parking violations. Works fantastically well. Leaps and bounds better than trying to navigate the website.

### 5/5 — Please make a new app!

*2024-08-02, version 5.3.0*

I love your app! Can you make an app called Nyc 911 please?

### 5/5 — Works Fine on my iPhone 11 for a few things

*2024-05-26*

I just use the 311 app mostly to look at the “suspended parking” days but submitted a request to replace street parking signs after a bike thief removed the sign and slid both of our bikes up and over the street sign post - bye bikes.
Took 6 months for them to replace the signs, but still worth the effort to report because before you know it, 6 months flies by quick.

### 5/5 — Amazing upgrade!

*2024-05-20, version 5.0.3*

I love the new look and it feels a lot more responsive than the old version. Very intuitive and easy to use. Kudos to the developers and designers for bringing the app into this decade!

### 5/5 — Awesome upgrade!

*2024-04-02, version 5.0.1*

Thanks, NYC

### 5/5 — Bugged app

*2021-07-09, version 4.37*

The app needs updating won’t open on iphone it just opens and crashes or won’t open at all as of 7/6/21

### 5/5 — Magic

*2020-01-12, version 4.18.2*

This app is magic. You text and report something and they address it immediately. I am so impressed!
