## What is NYC Subway Log?

Every station you ride fills in.

NYC Subway Log is a station-logging app for the New York City Subway — all 25 services and 475 stations, from the 1 to the Rockaway Park Shuttle. Tap a station to log it, and the map fills in with the trunk colors you already know.

◆ Built for
· Riders working through the Subway Challenge
· Anyone curious how much of the system they have actually seen
· New arrivals learning the network one line at a time

◆ What you get
· Every station on every service, in MTA's own line colors
· A stamp book that fills in as you go
· A "line complete" card when you finish a service end to end
· Five-borough progress heatmap
· Photos and notes on any station visit
· Two maps — a real one, and a network view with everything but the subway stripped away
· A rolling stock book, from the R32 Brightliner to the R211
· iCloud sync, free for everyone
· Backup (JSON) and export (CSV)

◆ Past rides count
Log a station you rode ten years ago and pick the date. Segment entry logs a whole stretch at once.

◆ Pro (monthly / yearly / lifetime)
· Unlimited favorite lines
· Detailed statistics and the five-borough heatmap
· Watermark-free share cards
· Export your stamps as an A4 PDF stamp book
Browsing lines, logging stations, the stamp book, and iCloud sync are all free.
Monthly and yearly plans auto-renew through your Apple ID unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.

NYC Subway Log is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Station and route data comes from MTA's public GTFS feed.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-11

The map, redrawn.

- Lines now carry MTA's own colours everywhere — the stamp book, completion cards and the PDF, not just the route bullets. The Lexington Av green and the 8 Av blue are the ones you know from the platform.
- Ridden stretches follow the actual track instead of cutting straight between stations, so curves through Queens and over the bridges read true.
- Fixed a line drawing itself twice where its branches share track.
- Stations you have not visited are drawn quieter, so the ones you have come forward.
- Interchanges are drawn a size larger in a neutral colour, instead of taking one line's colour when several run through.
- Opening the map from a line now shows that line alone, with a chip to step back out.
- A line's header now leads with its bullet, the way a rider reads it.
- The A train's stations are back in running order; its Lefferts and Far Rockaway branches no longer zigzag.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-08

Share cards, rebuilt.

- Finish a line and the card is now a station sign: the line's bullet, the two terminals you rode between, and the whole city behind it — every line you've ridden, with your share of NYC on it.
- Station and milestone cards follow the same grammar.
- Add a note, or the car you rode. Pro adds two more card styles.
- Station stamps are ticket cards now, not square seals.
- Stations on the map are white circles, so a ridden line still reads as a line.
- Restored Japanese, Korean and Chinese on the Stamps tab and the station counters.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-08-05
