## What is Nyola?

THE SKY IS YOUR CANVAS

Do you remember lying in the grass as a child, looking up at the sky, and finding shapes in the clouds? Nyola turns that magic into a global daily ritual.

THE CONCEPT: DO WE ALL SEE THE SAME THING? Every morning, Nyola captures one unique cloud. It is the exact same photo for every user, from New York to Paris. Your mission? Use your finger to draw over the photo whatever your imagination suggests. A dragon? A face? A floating island?

100% IMAGINATION, 0% ALGORITHM In a world flooded with AI-generated images, Nyola is a breath of fresh air. Here, there are no robots, no prompts. Just your brain, your eye, and your touch (even if clumsy!) creating the magic.

HOW IT WORKS

The Ritual : Open the app to discover the cloud of the day.

The Imagination : Simply trace your idea. No need to be an artist! A funny doodle is worth more than a masterpiece here.

The Timelapse Magic : Watch your drawing come to life! The app automatically generates a satisfying video animation of your sketch. Share this replay instantly on TikTok or Instagram.

The Revelation : This is the Golden Rule ("Draw to Reveal"). The global gallery is blurred until you participate. Post your drawing to discover what the rest of the world saw!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE NYOLA:

The Clash of Perspectives: You saw a bunny, but your neighbor saw a Great White Shark. Discover infinite interpretations of the same shape.

Collect your Dreams: The daily cloud disappears at midnight, but your masterpieces are saved forever in your personal profile. Build your own sky gallery.

Zero Pressure: A "Slow Tech" break of 3 minutes. Kind, creative, and judgment-free.

Join the community of dreamers. Download Nyola now and look up.

### 5/5 — This App is Special

*2026-04-27*

There is some creative genius developer behind this app. It’s a unique experience that I enjoy every day. Part of the enjoyment is the way these clouds spark my imagination. But it’s more than just the clouds that inspire me… it is also knowing that other people are seeing and drawing something different from the exact same clouds, and that we will look at each other’s when we are done.
I like that there’s no editing once you hit “publish”, because that means every single drawing is the original one, straight from one person’s view of the clouds.
You name your drawing before publishing, and those names add to the interest because they further personalize each drawing.
I also like that when you look at someone’s drawing, you first see just the clouds, and then you watch how the whole thing is drawn in a few seconds.
And another genius feature is that on days you don’t draw, you can’t see anyone else’s drawings. Once midnight comes, the day is locked. I can’t draw, and therefore I can’t view any drawings, because you have to publish your drawing before you can see anyone else’s.
This feature sort of cements the community aspect of the app. When we participate (draw), then we are part of the community that day. Kinda cool.

**Developer response:** Wow, reading this truly made my day! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an incredibly thoughtful review. As a solo developer, you perfectly captured the entire heart and soul of Nyola.

### 5/5 — So glad I found this app!!

*2026-04-21*

What a beautiful little app!! I’ve definitely incorporated it into my daily routine already.

I love how you can’t see what others drew until you finish your drawing! It really ensures that there are no copy-cats, and that you’re using your own imagination. It definitely pushes me to use my brain for once.

It is definitely buggy, like sometimes when you’re on your profile the cloud images don’t load and you can’t see anything but the sketches.

I also noticed that one of the cloud images was AI generated which is always sucky to see, but oh well.

Definitely gonna keep using this app!!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this amazing review! We're thrilled that Nyola has become a part of your daily routine.

Regarding the cloud images, they are actually submitted by our community! We do our best to filter out AI-generated images, but it's sometimes a tricky balance: many users submit real photos that are just heavily edited or color-retouched, and we don't want to unfairly exclude their beautiful submissions.

As for the profile bug you mentioned (where the cloud images don't load behind the sketches), we definitely want to squash that! Could you please send a quick screenshot or screen recording to contact@nyola.app? It would help us immensely to track down the issue and fix it.

### 5/5 — Very cute!

*2026-04-03*

Fun little app to exercise your creativity and then see what others did as well.

### 3/5 — Good idea with room to grow

*2026-04-02*

This app is off to a nice start, but it needs some more features to get a higher rating. I’d love to see the ability to capture a picture of clouds and draw on it immediately. It would also be nice to be able to export a png or jpg of drawings without needing to sign up for an account and sharing it.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thank you for the encouraging words and the feedback, it means a lot to a solo developer!

Capturing your own clouds in the sky to draw on them is a beautiful and poetic idea. It's definitely something I'm keeping in mind as the app evolves!

Regarding saving without an account, Nyola is designed to be a global, collaborative gallery rather than a private sketchpad. The account is the "ticket" to join this community, ensuring everyone contributes to the shared sky. However, I completely understand the desire to easily export your art, and I will look into making the export process smoother for our community members in future updates.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me improve Nyola!

### 5/5 — I’m glad I found this

*2026-04-01*

I haven’t had this app for even a day yet, so it might be early for a review, but I like it a lot. I knew I would like it as soon as I read the description. It’s exactly what it says is; you draw on clouds and see what other people drew on clouds.
I like the search feature cause it makes it easy if you want to see all the drawings with a certain word in the title. I also like that you can submit your own cloud photo, and I’m curious about how the daily photo gets selected.
The only negative thing I’m finding is that sometimes the buttons are hard to press. For example, I had to tap on and around the search bar a few times to select it, but that doesn’t affect the main experience, and it won’t deter me from using the app.
I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this so shortly after its release, and I’m looking forward to seeing it grow. I can’t imagine the concept getting old, and I’ll definitely be on nyola every day.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It brings me immense joy to read that you instantly connected with the core philosophy of Nyola!

To answer your curiosity, the daily clouds are currently hand-picked by myself from the community's submissions. I try to select shapes that are inspiring and leave a lot of room for everyone's imagination to run wild and I try to show diversity in the propositions.

Welcome to the Nyola sky, I can't wait to see your daily creations!

### 4/5 — Great concept but needs some fixes

*2026-02-01*

I really enjoy this app. It’s a relaxing thing to do every day and can take as much or as little time as you want. It’s also so cool to see how differently others saw the same clouds. However, in the gallery the drawings don’t always line up correctly with the photo, so you can’t really tell exactly what part of the cloud was being referenced. If that were fixed I’d give it 5/5

### 5/5 — A super fun, creative tool!

*2026-01-28*

Came across this (I believe on reddit) and have been thoroughly enjoying it! It's a really easy and fun exercise to do on my lunch break, also so lovely to see other people's doodles throughout the day. Recommend 10/10, chef's kiss

### 1/5 — No new clouds

*2026-01-27*

I’m no longer receiving new cloud images to draw on. Can’t get tech support

**Developer response:** Hi there! I am the developer of Nyola.

I am truly sorry for this frustration. You are absolutely right: we experienced a temporary server issue recently that prevented the daily clouds from loading.

The Good News: This has been fully fixed.

Regarding tech support: I apologize if it was hard to find. You can always reach me directly at contact@nyola.app if you have any other issue. I answer personally.

Thank you for your patience and happy drawing! Alexis

### 5/5 — Coolest idea

*2026-01-25*

I’ve only had the app for one day, and I’m already so happy with it. What a cool concept, letting your own imagination fly and getting to see what other people dreamed up! I appreciate that there’s a range of levels of artists so far…I’m far from good at drawing, but it’s fun either way.
