## What is Nyx Médiathèque?

Nyx is the player for your personal media library. It connects to your Nyx server and plays your films and series exactly as they are, never transcoding them: the original picture and sound, down to the last detail.

Nyx requires a Nyx server. The app does not provide, sell or stream any content: you watch what is in your own media library, or in the library of a relative who invites you.

The app's interface is in French.

PLAYBACK WITHOUT COMPROMISE
• MKV, MP4 and most formats, played directly
• 4K, HDR10 and Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos sound; TrueHD and DTS converted losslessly
• Text and image subtitles (SRT, ASS, PGS), audio and subtitle tracks you can switch during playback
• Resume exactly where you stopped, from one device to another, and picture in picture

YOUR LIBRARY, ORGANISED
• A home screen that follows your day: what you started, what fits in the time you have, your favourite genres, film series
• A library with filters (resolution, HDR, decade, genre, watched…) and sorting
• Instant search: titles, episodes, genres, and actors, with all their films in your library
• Series followed episode by episode, with the dates of upcoming ones

OFFLINE AND TOGETHER
• Download a film or a series: it plays without a network, on a train or a plane
• Watch together: the same film, at the same time, each in their own home
• Recommend a title to a relative: they find it on their home screen, with your note
• Notifications when an episode arrives, or a new film in a series you started

AND MORE
• Your statistics, and a ranking among relatives if you choose to appear in it
• If your server allows it, flag a missing title and follow your request

SIGNING IN
An invitation code from a relative, your server's token, or your Plex account for the very first sign-in.

What you watch stays between your iPhone and your server: Nyx collects no data.

Nyx uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Playback powered by AetherEngine and FFmpeg (LGPL).
