## What is NyxAstra?

NyxAstra is a native, local-first AI image studio for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Generate, refine, and organize images using your own OpenAI or Azure OpenAI API key—without a NyxAstra account, subscription, or backend.

LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN

NyxAstra has no account system, analytics, telemetry, or backend server. API credentials are stored securely on your device using the iOS and iPadOS Keychain or encrypted local storage on Mac. Prompts, history, templates, and generated images remain local to your device.

When you generate an image, NyxAstra sends your prompt, generation settings, and reference images directly to the OpenAI or Azure OpenAI endpoint you configured. NyxAstra asks for permission before the first provider request and never routes your content through Gavin Schnee Studio.

REQUIREMENTS

• macOS 14 or later, or iOS/iPadOS 17 or later
• Your own OpenAI or Azure OpenAI API key
• Internet access for image generation

NyxAstra is free to use. API usage fees are charged directly by your selected AI provider according to your provider account.
