This app is so much worse than it used to be. It is way slower with the spinning wheel of doom whenever you change anything. Also, why can’t I save certain preferences such as location and donation type? It is frustrating to enter these every time even though they never change. Again, these weren’t issues in earlier iterations of the app.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or an issue on my end, but the blood type details doesn’t show up for me. For context a few months ago I donated blood and shortly after I got sent an email saying that I’ll be able to find out my blood type via this app. Long story short even after logging into the email I used when donating blood there is no data that displays my donation history, even though I can successfully log in using my email. I’ve also tried re-downloading the app and re-logging in, but still no luck. After asking some friends who also donated blood it seems like they didn’t encounter this issue , meaning most users should still be able to acces their data

Good app, however it’s always laggy when trying to book appointment, choosing location takes a while to load, and it crashes a lot of time. Speed it up, fix the bugs, it’ll be better and you’ll get more blood donor. Sometimes I gave up when booking an appointment. Love how it updates you the bloood helped someone, makes me feel like my blood actually went to good use. Thanks team.

Every single time I use this app I have to reset my password as the password requirement’s are ridiculous. It’s annoying and counterproductive when they should be trying to make it more user friendly to give blood etc. Please calm down with password requirements and let us choose our own that we can remember.

What has been a useful app has been wrecked by what I can only assume has been a beta version release. Slow, buggy, and repetitive this is now just painful. No way to roll back to the previous version to actually get useful results. I have given up and will be waiting for an update before donating again.

A very useful app over the years…However, the recent major update, where we were asked to delete the current app and reinstall and re-login to the new one after a password change, seems to have been released in a hurry.

The app is slow and hangs sometimes.

I’d like to donate blood based on date (as you can donate every three months). However this app uses location and the dates it gives for that location are pretty random and generally far further out than I need to wait. Why can’t the app give me location suggestions based on when I’m able to give blood?? NZ Blood Service has missed out on a lot of my donations because of this inefficiency.

The app is great for time saving and booking on the go. My biggest frustration is not being able to change between donating blood or plasma. Being in a place that has no donation centre I want to give more but it’s made hard due to not being able to change between blood and plasma. PLEASE fix this

The booking calendar/set appointment shows only available from next year 28th feb when though the website shows availability as of today. Also unable to choose between blood and plasma donation type on booking system in the app.

Easy to use and navigate through the app. The only thing I noticed didn’t work with the app was that my phone was set up with 24-Hour time and anytime I would want to look at appointments from 1pm onwards, the app would show e.g x9 spots but as soon as I clicked on the time slot, nothing would come up. It took some time to figure out that I had to set up my phone to 12-Hour time in order for me to be able to see the booking schedule on the app.

Failed my password 3 times, tried resetting it but it still just says I’ve used all my attempts and need to reset my password (which I have now done 3 times). Waste of time trying to book an appointment.

New app is a disaster. Unable to book an appointment if one for the future has been booked. Makes it very hard to book for closer to the time. 
Locations are a nightmare and it’s so lagging. I know the update was meant to make it better - but it’s just worse!

Sorry to give one star especially given the good work you guys do but this app is so bad.  I’ve stopped donating short term as I should not have to keep reseting my password every time I want to book. It is such a process to reset it.  Please please get it fixed.

The app is quite helpful if you can get in and stay in. 
Unfortunately this isn’t the case, I’m tired of having to sign in repeatedly, this includes a new phrase / password EVERY TIME I open the app. It never remembers me and it’s ticked to do so. I have been through so many phrases now they turned to “thisisafu&@$ingjoke” or “thisappissh@$house”. I’m done with this terrible app. I’ll just call up or use the website for future.

The need to have a 16 character phrase is egregious and completely unnecessary. The three failed passwords attempt is also ridiculous. Painful having to reset the password each time I get logged out of the app. Do better

This app is easy and simple to follow.
I have donated plasma 137 times now and booking and managing my appts was a nightmare if I had to cancel or move one.

Now I can do it all from my phone while on the go.
Not to mention that it has my donor card and all the information that I need relating to donating.

Big thumbs up from me!

Man, this update looks so good compared to the previous app. Really cool to see my donation history. I also lost my card a few years ago - great to see it included the app. Maybe allow updating address next update?

It would be great if:
- the app remembered where to last donated so that of this didn’t change you don’t need to find the location again.
-  the app allowed you to pre-declare your travel. I donate regularly, but when I travel overseas the machine sometimes needs to be reconfigured after I arrive to fractionate because they won’t use my plasma as they had assumed they would.
- if the app was faster in general. I don’t know why the map is so slow?

It’s a good app on the whole but the add donor card to Apple wallet doesn’t seem to work for me. Not a deal breaker but would be nice to have this working some time :)

Great for tracking all your donations and for booking appointments. But what I’d like to see to make booking easier is a calendar for the area you’re in rather than just sites.

Generally a useful app. I use it to book appointments rather than phoning or using the website. It also reminds me of my appointments, thanks for that. 
Two features I’d like to see added:
1) allow me to book a recurring appt (e.g once a month, every 3 months, etc) rather than having to book each appt individually. 
2) allow me to capture my regular medications in the app and choose to share it with NZBS. Yes, I’d actually do that; I get tired of telling the same story EVERY month!!
