Hard to figure out how to download sections for offline. There's no key to indicate what map is required to purchase? It was a potentially deadly bug on my trip this week!! Edit to provide more detail as requested. I downloaded several Topo50 maps to use on my trip (the ones covering the top of the South Island). They worked fine when in reception. When I was on my trip and out of cellphone range, every time I zoomed in to see the 50 detail, it was like they weren’t there as the 50 detail disappeared and I only had the 250. I don’t know if this was caused by being out of reception, or if it was because I had turned my phone off or on, or what. 🤷‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Annoying bug *2020-01-13, version 1.7* Reasonably good app, but downloaded maps randomly pixilate out in sections to green squares at different zoom magnifications ### 2/5 — Orientation *2019-12-18, version 1.6* Thanks for the reply. Charges for free data *2026-03-08* Just download Cartograph Maps instead and load the WMTS layer direct from LINZ. Downloading maps is a nightmare Even then they sometimes don’t cache so don’t provide the resolution you are looking for. Finding the map you want to download is impossible as it’s not referenced on the global map. The waypoint referencing is terrible I swapped this for topo gps.. far better cheaper , more reliable and user friendly. ### 1/5 — Stopped working? *2023-01-06, version 1.8.2* This app used to be great no problems - now for 3 months I haven’t been able to download the map sheets for use offline reliably at all. It gets half way though a download and then either says ‘download failed check your internet connection’ or ‘download failed couldn’t reach LINZ data’. This is really frustrating as this is my favourite Topo map but has become unusable, spending hours attempting to download maps but failing? Annoying when I pay for it too! Any help on how to make it work again would be welcomed - tried zooming out and selecting the map square instead of selecting from the maps page list - still does the same thing. Tried deleting and reloading the app - same thing but now I’ve lost all my maps. Very impressive.
