NZ Verify / Whakatūturu is the New Zealand Government's app for checking digital IDs and credentials presented from a person's phone. Point the app at their screen and in seconds you'll know whether their ID is genuine and valid for your purpose, including: • Confirming a customer is old enough to purchase alcohol. • Checking eligibility for age-restricted products and services. • Verifying identity in person. • Verifying licences, qualifications, and other approved credentials. NZ Verify can check IDs and credentials stored in the Govt.nz wallet and other compatible digital wallets. NZ Verify checks digital credentials only.
