I have since got everything working, and have been really impressed with the level of detail they provide. My apologies to the team, I should have been more patient. The app tells you how many Canadians the company employs and where the source materials comes from. It also suggests Canadian alternatives if a product isn’t Canadian. I love this emphasis because if our motivation to buy Canadian is to help our fellow Canadians keep their livelihoods, it will keep us buying Canadian long after the current crisis passes. This gave the best and most informed response! The only minor feedback is that while i understand they need to pay for backend and needs ads for free people…. Is there a way to reduce how annoying the ads are? You want this to be usable even if it’s free or maybe smaller ads for .99/month and no ads for 2.99? I see a change in the Ads so thanks for being so attentive, I use your app to review all Canadian inquiries even newspaper ownership. I do not use the scanner much. The information about ownership of Canadian companies has change dramatically I took two screenshots from Apr to May and they have been changed to hide ownership. At the end of the day I would NOT recommend this app if you want in depth background on Companies. As a scan app for a can of peas maybe but if you are looking for back ground information on foreign ownership go to Wikipedia. ### 1/5 — Not great *2025-03-12, version 1.6* All we need I a yes it’s Canadian or No it’s American. Look up Tim Hortons for example: the AI response both says it is Canadian and not Canadian—if you read far enough. Stakes are too high right now for more disinformation. On top of it, there are pop up ads—for Google. Jeesh. The developer’s other app is for Tarrot cards. This app is not about patriotism. This one came up wrong for the same product. There are other provinces that produce good products. Why are none of these ever mentioned?
