### 2/5 — Once a helpful app is just bizarre

*2026-09-21, version 2.3.45*

I didn’t know sunflower oil is worse then lead, yet products with lead get higher rating then a product without lead. Huh?!

### 1/5 — Limited product data- no user friendly

*2026-09-16*

Scanning doesn’t work doesn’t seem like they have much data on products maybe they are still getting more product info.
Also searching under categories is difficult and again a lot of basic products aren’t available
I was really disappointed I paid for the year but will have it cancelled if they don’t improve the user interface, ability to scan products and have a MUCH larger inventory for the categories

### 1/5 — Rip off paid for a year got only a month or so

*2026-09-12, version 2.3.42*

I don’t understand the point of paying for the whole year when they don’t give you a full year. Not enough to make it difficult to try to get in touch with Customer Service and sort things out so they don’t care once they scam you

### 1/5 — Frequent Inaccurate information

*2026-09-12*

I’ve personally reported numerous issues via the in app reporting feature, direct to Oasis via Email, X and Instagram and the support has been poor at best. When issues are eventually resolved, when the next update comes out, the issues reoccur. I’ve repeatedly asked for a call with the Oasis team to discuss the issues, and this request has fallen on deaf ears. The app simply can’t be trusted when issues are so frequent. Great concept, but the execution couldn’t have been much worse.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-09-10, version 2.3.41*

Used to be good and with every update gets worse. No longer useful

### 2/5 — Changed

*2026-09-10, version 2.3.41*

Now I have to pay all of a sudden

### 1/5 — Support system

*2026-09-04, version 2.3.39*

Very weak support system lost my subscriptions and login

### 1/5 — Quirky app

*2026-09-02, version 2.3.38*

This app is quirky and does not work very well. I regret paying the money for a year subscription.

### 1/5 — Update is horrible

*2026-08-31, version 2.3.38*

Horrible update ! 5 months ago the app was better and user friendly, now the way things are scored aren’t explained well at all . The app took a huge step backwards! So disappointed . Will not be renewing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t have anything in Canada, wasted 65 bucks

*2026-08-27*

Started the 3 day trial and it took 65 bucks from me instantly, no refunds and scammed me, don’t even have items to scan in Canada and it’s all ai not trustworthy

### 2/5 — Outdated or wrong information

*2026-08-27, version 2.3.36*

I use both oasis and Yuka and I’ve started to notice that on some item specifically my native conditioner and shampoo has a low score on oasis but a excellent score on Yuka, and oasis doesn’t have the correct ingredient list for the soap. Even for my Himalayan botanque toothpaste it doesn’t show me the flagged ingredients but wants to give it a low score without having complete information but Yuka gives it a excellent score and list only one low risk ingredient

### 2/5 — Terrible so far

*2026-08-23, version 2.3.36*

So far this app is terrible, so far about 80% of the time it doesn’t have info on anything I scan,

### 1/5 — Expensive!!!

*2026-08-19, version 2.3.35*

Imagine downloading an app to try and figure out what food is poison and what food isn’t. Then imagine this App charging 50 dollars so you can tell what food is healthy. That’s what this app does. I’m sick and tired of companies using our health to make money. They are making poison, then charging us to see what that poison is. These companies are criminals.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-18, version 2.3.35*

Was billed immediately upon downloading the app even though it said 3-day free trail. Avoid at all cost, scammers

### 1/5 — Inaccurate information

*2026-08-15, version 2.3.35*

The data on this app is continuously, incorrect and proven by other sources. Refuse to issue refund, even after publicly advertising that they would give refunds to those who requested.

### 1/5 — Sad. Everything is paywall’d now.

*2026-08-13, version 2.3.35*

Sadly they are as greedy as everyone else. Otherwise good app, before the paywall. Don’t update!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Be more critical on results & less fear-based

*2026-09-24, version 2.3.46*

Originally loved the app but seems like things have moved into clout-chasing impressions & gatekeeping behind subscriptions and paywalls. Will move onto another app.

### 1/5 — always a subscription

*2026-09-21, version 2.3.45*

any app you see that is health related and helps you get better habits is always an expensive subscription. it makes me not care about my health seeing the paywall and it is getting ridiculous how EVERY app has it. No im not paying for a subscription for an app that im gonna use for less than a month.

### 1/5 — Account

*2026-09-21, version 2.3.45*

Now needs a account to use app. Yeah no

### 1/5 — Updated their app

*2026-09-21, version 2.3.45*

Used to be able to see the ratings of most of their products, for others you would need to pay. Since their update, you can’t view the ratings of ANY products without a $50 payment.

### 1/5 — Membership

*2026-09-20, version 2.3.45*

It don’t even let me un subscribe! There’s no option for it!

### 1/5 — Suspicious / Unreliable reviews

*2026-09-19, version 2.3.45*

The tests for water for example goes from an awful grade to a good grade depending on how the app feels on that day. Hard to rely on this app when 80% of the products they supposedly reviewed are bouncing back and forth on results.

### 1/5 — Costs money now

*2026-09-18, version 2.3.45*

Costs money now. Used to be free. Can scan anything now. Lame

### 1/5 — Used to be free

*2026-09-18, version 2.3.44*

Oasis used to be free for everyone to use. You could scam barcodes or even take a picture of products to get a breakdown of the rating for free. Now all of a sudden, I have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription just to scan a product. Very disappointing that all these apps start with letting the user use it for free, then they ask for a subscription. We shouldn’t have to pay to know what’s good for us and what isn’t

### 1/5 — Good idea but disappointing implementation

*2026-09-18*

I paid for a year and for months almost every product I tried to scan appears to be in review. At the end of the day I could not what I paid for because of that. Even now I can’t scan anything cause it’s not been reviewed. Useless outside of the US.

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2026-09-17, version 2.3.44*

Was free but they got greedy for money. Now have to pay to use the app at all.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The new version of Oasis is disappointing.

*2026-09-12*

I like Oasis and its mission, but this new version is a real regression. A list where everything looks identical forces you to open every single item just to learn whether it matters. That’s not transparency. The fix is simple: bring back the visual signal at the list level. Color-code or badge each ingredient right in the list. Green for fine, amber for caution, red for avoid, so you can scan the whole thing in two seconds. Click-through stays for the detail, but the summary should be visible without it.

### 5/5 — UPDATE - I Feel Ripped Off!

*2026-08-27*

Subject: Follow-Up: Refund Promised on August 19

On August 19, I was contacted by Cormac from Oasis Team, who apologized for the way I had been treated and informed me that my money would be refunded. I was asked to provide my preferred method of payment, which I did.

Since then, I have received no further communication and no refund.

I expect Oasis to honor the commitment that was made to me. If you tell a customer that you are issuing a refund and ask them how they would like to receive it, then follow through.

Please confirm immediately that my refund is being processed, the amount being refunded, and when I can expect to receive it.

I would appreciate this being resolved without any further delays.

I was charged Annual Subscription prior to FREE Trial Ending! Sent in Circles afterward!

I signed up for the free trial believing I had until the cancellation date to decide whether I wanted to continue. Instead, I was charged approximately $47 for an annual subscription, which came as a surprise.

What frustrated me most was trying to get help afterward. Oasis told me that because the subscription was purchased through Apple, they could not issue a refund and that billing matters are handled by Apple. However, when I contacted Apple, I was told they could not provide a refund because it involved a third-party app. As a customer, I was left stuck in the middle with no resolution.

Whether the billing terms were disclosed somewhere in the fine print or not, the process was not clear to me when I signed up. Had I understood exactly when the annual charge would occur, I would not have enrolled in the free trial.

I genuinely feel ripped off and disappointed by the experience. More transparency around billing and refund responsibility would help prevent customers from finding themselves in the same situation.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this app.

**Developer response:** Hi Roseanna apologies for your experience being thrown between support teams. Apple handles all billing for App Store purchases and charges annual plans up to 24 hours before trial end, which is why it hit early. Apple's support guidance likewise tells users to cancel trials more than 24 hours before the renewal date or the subscription may renew.

I have personally replied to your support ticket with other options to help find a good resolution here.
