Try to login but when you send a code to email and check it the app resets and wont allow the code. 
Used to work for me but now its time to get something different.

When you could once setup an account, about 3 years ago, it was decent. Had some options that you wouldn’t expect from a $10 scanner. Now, you can not setup an account. It renders the device useless. UPDATE: I found their contact info, I’ll try giving th a call and see what’s going on.

App will not register. Consistently says there is a network problem when all other apps snd browsers are working fine.without the app, the Topdon device is worthless.

Literally bought the app today for I can use the OBD and every time I try to sign up or use a app to auth the login it always tells me “connection failed please try again later” it’s been about 7 hours since I first tried.

I’m a factory trained and certified automotive technician and I know that the “values” displayed are comically impossible!! Ripoff!! How do I get a refund?

This app is completely useless. First, I bought the device on eBay, where it didn’t mention that the app is an additional $9.99! I mean you buy the device, so the app that supports it should be free, right? I mean you can’t use the device without the app! 
The app need to connect through wifi to the device, which would have been fine if it was stable. It keeps dropping the connection and the nothing in the app works. Also, the only thing that worked a little is seeing the car’s RPM, but even that is delayed, making it useless. I mainly bought the device and app to check diagnostics, and that does not work at all. It says there are no fault codes, but using my Dad’s device that he got from Autozone reported several error codes. Junk!

Like many I purchased this app a few years ago, then go to use it recently and it wouldn’t let me log in. The solution I found was to download one of Topdon’s other apps and sign up there, and I was magically logged in to AutoMate. I tried many of their apps, but the one that worked was the ArtiBox app. It was free so at least I’m not out any more money. Hope this helps someone.
