## What is OBD2 Codes List (OBD?

OBD2 codes, or On-Board Diagnostics II codes, are standardized diagnostic trouble codes used by vehicles to identify and report issues in the engine, emissions, and other systems. When a problem is detected, the vehicle’s computer stores a code (like P0300 for engine misfire), which can be read with a scanner. These codes help mechanics and drivers diagnose and fix vehicle problems quickly, ensuring safety, performance, and emissions compliance.
