My iPhone software is up to date, and I’ve tried to delete the Ocado App and reinstall via the Apple site, but I still get the message to update theOcado App. Very frustrating. ### 2/5 — Notifications *2025-05-23, version 2.303* Since this new App I am receiving constant marketing notifications which I can’t switch off unless I turn off notifications altogether. Clearly I want notifications to receive order updates so frustrating I have to put up with marketing push notifications. Pretty sure this is against GDPR? I also couldn’t apply for a refund on my last order but that may be because it was placed on the old order so will give the benefit of the doubt on that one… ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2025-05-16, version 2.303* Why is the App so frustrating ? I have constant problems with moving delivery to different times or days, it just won’t let me do it and I have to phone Ocado to resolve this. They are helpful and apologetic but this is happening too often. Now I am logged out and can’t sign in, it says I have to call Ocado for assistance. Pretty rubbish at the moment, compared to how it used to be ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-03-28, version 2.302* Terrible app for ‘a high tech company’ The Ocado app needs rebuilding from the ground up, the UI / UX is painful. Competitors such as Tesco have apps 5 years ahead of Ocado. Besides UI / UX the app lacks basic functionality. I’ve had to move back to ordering with Tesco due to the awful app experience. ### 1/5 — Possible scam? *2025-03-23, version 2.301* I think this app might be a scam? It looks almost identical to another version of the Ocado app but keeps trying to take me to an external login that is not an Ocado site. On the app the “log out” button doesn’t work and neither do lots of the other app features. I have deleted this version of the app and downloaded another version that seems more legitimate. I just hope I haven’t lost any of my personal details. ### 2/5 — Service is worsening *2025-03-20, version 2.301* We’ve used Ocado for years and there’s a steady decline of quality. The app’s good but the delivery can be a mess… broken items, missing items, damaged bags. It doesn’t help that M&S food costs have gone up massively… this is now an expensive way to get damaged items. ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2025-03-10, version 2.300* A review of the app rather than Ocado’s service. The app is borderline unusable. Unfathomable search results; occasional checkout issues and no ability to change the appearance - eg font size - the font, even on larger devices (iPad) is minuscule. Things I put in my basket are not there on check out and you have to re enter them and of course there’s the one you don’t notice until your shopping arrives and it’s not there. My payment went wrong using it. Customer services just gaslight and blame the user instead of investigating the glitches. So who you complaint to who will look into it is any one’s guess. I ended up using the website on my laptop as I couldn’t see what I was buying. Please remove these options or enable me to dismiss them. ### 1/5 — Disaster transition to new app *2025-05-21, version 2.303* For the grocery retailer that is supposed to be the market leader in technology, this new app process is a disaster. The old app is still needed for some orders but not others. Email communication is inaccurate and constant error when shopping. I’ve been using Ocado for 10+ yrs and always use the app. I’ve stuck with you through the switch from Waitrose and the constant price increases, and honestly part of that was the ease of shopping. This new app design is horrid - poorly organised, confusing/not intuitive at all - now you have to hunt for things that were previously obvious (like receipts for past orders). It is genuinely awful, and enough to make me shop elsewhere. I’ve added a new card but nope, no way to change it. Terrible app. If they can’t get payments right then why should we trust them with our money. I can honestly hand on heart say we have never had a mistake or issue in all that time which is pretty good going. The website is simple and accessible with great choices and excellent food. The drivers have always been so friendly and helpful which is amazing in a job that I’m sure has its difficulties at times. Infact if we are on holiday or have to make alternate arrangements for some reason we miss occado! I also love how easy it is to add food to your order later on and of course the genius idea of being able to recycle your bags by giving them back. An all round first class experience. ### 5/5 — Excellent. *2025-05-05, version 2.303* We’ve been using Ocado for over 10 years and they have gone from strength to strength. The drivers are very helpful and considerate and the stock range and lack of substitutions is a real plus. Moreover, Ocado are great value for money and refunds for unfit items are straightforward. Improvement suggestions are - refresh the UI, it looks a little dated - a dark mode would be good, enable a multi deselect option for removing favourites ### 5/5 — If you want reliability, look no further *2025-01-13, version 2.297* We have used Ocado regularly for around a year now, and have nothing bad to say overall when comparing to the other big brands. The app is extremely user friendly, especially if you use it regularly as it remembers your preferences on specific items & gives you a reminder when checking out if you aren’t buying something you normally do. We have RARELY had any substitutions in the year of using them, and when we have, it has been a good one I.e bought broccoli and they sub for another brand of broccoli. The drivers are always extremely helpful and pleasant( noteworthy, as we live a few flights of stairs up and they never hesitate to help us bring the shop up!), always on time and will phone in advance if running late at all. Only downfall would be that it is not the cheapest option by any means, but I do think their wide range of options and reliability totally make it worth it a go. ### 5/5 — Ocado are lifesavers 110% *2024-12-15, version 2.297* I can not fault Ocado in any way shape or form! I have been with them pre Covid times. From the choice of foods to the delivery persons who always come with a friendly smile and loaded with my shopping, to replacing any items that are unavailable, Ocado have just made such a difference for me and my family!
