### 4/5 — Très bien, mais

*2026-10-11*

### 4/5 — Good clear display. Updates have improved functionality

*2026-10-06*

Got this app as a last minute thing when my suunto died on battery change. The display is first class and nitrox setting is easy as too pO2 and algorithm choice. No fly time lives on the iPhone front screen and most of the time on the ultra3 watch. Haptic feedback and flashing display for safety stop is top idea although a heart beat haptic feels a bit odd. Haven’t compared my no deco time with buddy yet but ten dives in this week so tomorrow we will check for comparison. Logbook is tidy with maps and profile logged. Nothing deep yet so be interesting to see what happens around 40m where reviews suggest it’ll crash. Would recommend for sure. Affordable on monthly plan which can be cancelled. Saved me a wad this week in Oman for sure.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-09-30, version 4.1.1*

Easy to use and practical.

### 5/5 — Great app for a first timer

*2026-09-29, version 4.1.1*

Has been easy to use, great detailed information and interface with my phone….

*2026-09-28, version 4.1.1*

### 5/5 — Excellent reliable performance at last!

*2026-09-28, version 4.1.1*

The Oceanic app on the Apple Ultra and the iPhone have performed well on my last couple-hundred dives. I bought the Ultra and app in November 2022. We got acquainted. Then the April update erased my logbook off the Ultra. Good thing the logbook remained on the iPhone. Then the Ultra took DAYS to sync with the iPhone. That delay has been fixed.
I LOVE the safety stop countdown. The Ultra logbook has now been reliably syncing with my iPhone. I also like the depth and temperature graphs. The Ultra is easy to read underwater. If you are a diver who is already in the Apple Watch ecosystem, then I highly recommend Ultra and Ultra 2 and the Oceanic+ app.
I updated to AWU2 in late summer 2023.
Very happy.

### 5/5 — Great backup computer

*2026-09-27, version 4.1.1*

I use a Shearwater Teric with air integration as my primary computer. The cost for the 30 day subscription is a great deal for a backup dive computer. The display quality of the Apple Watch Ultra is perfect underwater. I love how it tracks GPS in and out set points. The logbook is much nicer than shearwater. If the Apple Watch ever pulls off air integration, it might be worth considering switching full time. I would however prefer to sync my logs with subsurface app, so I can combine all my previous dives.

### 5/5 — Great diving app, but the subscription is too expensive.

*2026-09-27, version 4.1.1*

Oceanic+ is a very good and well-designed diving app. The dive log is clear and easy to use, and I really like the interface during the dive. The Apple Watch version is also very well organized and easy to read, which makes it comfortable to use underwater.

Overall, the app provides a great user experience and I am very satisfied with its functionality.

The biggest downside for me is the subscription price. Paying a monthly or yearly fee that is comparable to a Netflix subscription feels too expensive for a diving app. I would much rather pay a higher one-time price to purchase the app and then use it without an ongoing subscription.

If Oceanic+ offered a reasonably priced lifetime purchase option, I would definitely consider it.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-09-25, version 4.1.1*

So user friendly. Great interface

### 3/5 — Can’t Sync to AWU4

*2026-09-25, version 4.1*

I have tried many ways including restart both my IPhone and U4 but all failed. I have updated them into updated versions as well. Who can tell me how to Sync Oceanic+ between my phone and Watch? !!!!!

### 4/5 — Idea for app

*2026-09-24, version 4.1*

App as is works great! Would love it if you could add a map access function when installed in the casing so we could see our location while at depth.

### 3/5 — Lacks HR recording for Freediving. Lost my recording after subscription lapsed.

*2026-09-24, version 4.1*

After my subscription lapsed (without my knowledge) the watch app still allowed me start and record a freediving session. Opening the app afterwards, though, I see my subscription is inactive and the recorded dive is nowhere to be seen. This is a serious deal-breaker. If the watch had warned me I would have re-subscribed. Now a customer is lost.

The app records heart rate to the health app for scuba, but for some reason does not do this for freediving, even though it shows HR on the watch face.

### 2/5 — Frustrating software lock and unreliable auto-launch

*2026-09-24, version 4.1*

Between Apple and Huish Outdoors, this app effectively forms a closed monopoly on the Apple Watch Ultra, forcing divers into an aggressive and expensive subscription model with zero real competition.
To make matters worse, you can't even rely on it when you're on the boat: the heavily advertised auto-launch feature is completely hit-or-miss. Standing at the surface waiting for a critical safety app to trigger shouldn't feel like a gamble. For a setup this expensive, it's unacceptable that basic reliability is secondary to a paywall.

### 5/5 — Buena app

*2026-09-24, version 4.1*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pointless useless

*2026-10-02, version 4.1.1*

Doesn’t even work on Apple Watch Ultra 4, just constantly stuck at this pathetic screen asking me to login from my phone by pressing the sync button in settings. Said sync button literally does nothing except instantaneously say “can’t connect” as if it didn’t even attempt, there is absolutely no way to just do it from the more than capable watch. Just a complete joke how sad technology is allowed to be in 2026.

### 1/5 — No enlaza con Apple Watch

*2026-09-29, version 4.1.1*

### 1/5 — Can not sync with ultra 2

*2026-09-29, version 4.1.1*

I tried many times, it just can not sync with my Apple Watch Ultra 2

### 1/5 — Possible scam, day plan

*2026-09-28, version 4.1.1*

I have had their annual plan for two years with no issue and their monthly plan last year.

Two weeks ago, I signed up for their daily plan and they charged me twice and refused to refund.

Buyer beware.

### 1/5 — Full of major bugs

*2026-09-25, version 4.1*

Nothing works on this app recently. I have made a subscription and even if that is displayed as active on iOS side I still see the free package and I cannot use the app for diving…
I tried creating a brand new account and it’s even worst, I couldn’t profile detail either

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-09-24, version 4.1*

Total junk, can’t even complete onboarding, just keeps resetting my info and telling me to complete step 1 again. Can’t even figure out how to change the units to something sensible

### 1/5 — Lag

*2026-09-23, version 4.1*

This app isn’t working

### 1/5 — Not Working

*2026-09-22, version 4.1*

Just downloaded the app and wanted to try it out before deciding whether to subscribe. Unfortunately, it won’t save my profile information, so I can’t even properly get through the initial setup.

I’m using iOS 27, so this may be a compatibility issue, but it’s a pretty poor first impression for a new user considering a paid subscription. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

### 1/5 — Unreliable, unable to sync and not refundable

*2026-09-22*

Used for some time and first time facing unable to sync and unable to refund situation. No longer trusted this app and never return, bad after sales service too..

### 1/5 — Cannot be used

*2026-09-19, version 4.1*

I am extremely disappointed with the app. It does not sync with my Apple Watch Ultra 4 Hermès. My date of birth and personal information are not saved in the app. The app is simply unusable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Oceanic +

*2026-10-19, version 4.1.1*

Really nice clear interface perfect for day to day diving.

### 5/5 — First time user

*2026-10-18, version 4.1.1*

Really nice to keep track of snorkeling and helps to get a boat of confidence for scuba diving and snuba.

### 5/5 — Incredible Performance

*2026-10-17, version 4.1.1*

The watch is great and has a lot of information, I can’t wait for the company to make a transmitter so I could add to my gear bag. 🤩

### 5/5 — Works Better than Expected

*2026-10-14, version 4.1.1*

This legitimately turns your Apple Watch Ultra into an excellent dive computer. But it also does the best one-touch underwater image touchups I’ve seen. It’s easy to sign up before your dive trip & easy to cancel after. I’ve logged well over 200 dives with this setup and I still love it.

### 5/5 — What is going on with the app 😡😡

*2026-10-11, version 4.1.1*

Our app is not working well at all on this rice trip. We have done 4 dives so far and in each dive it’s put every single dive picture I have taken this year ! That was yesterday !
Today it opens but not of the buttons are working ! Neither one of us can open the log book or settings !!!
Please advise

### 5/5 — Perfect Dive Watch

*2026-10-10, version 4.1.1*

Perfect with Apple Watch Ultra

### 5/5 — Great app and watch!

*2026-10-10, version 4.1.1*

This is exactly what recreational diver needs!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-10-03, version 4.1.1*

Used the app while diving in the Maldives. Tested to 30 metres depth and worked perfectly.

### 5/5 — Finally a Dive watch & software that work

*2026-10-03, version 4.1.1*

I have been diving since 1973 and started with dive tables and planning every dive via my knowledge gained through NAUI certification. I have used other dive computers but the apple ultra watch and oceanic software are the best I have used to date. I did experience a problem during my last dive when I attempted to sync dive data and iPhone data but it appears that glitch was fixed. Thanks for listening and keep the updates coming.

*2026-10-01, version 4.1.1*
