## What is Oceanus?

Log the dive. Name what you saw. Keep both in one place.

Oceanus is a scuba and freediving logbook with an AI marine species identifier built in. Record depth, time, tank and conditions — then point your camera at a fish and pin it to the dive it came from.

THE LOGBOOK
- Log by hand in under a minute: date and time, duration, max and average depth, location
- Import straight from a .FIT file exported by a Garmin dive computer, depth profile included
- Read the depth profile as a chart on the detail screen
- Scuba and freediving are both first-class types
- Conditions: salt, fresh or brackish water, water temperature, visibility from poor to excellent
- Gear: suit from shorty through 3/5/7 mm wetsuit, semi-dry and drysuit; tank from aluminum 63 through steel 120, doubles and sidemount; start and end pressure
- Free-text title and notes on every entry
- Link the species you identified to the dive they belong to
- Everything syncs to your account and follows you to any device you sign in on

AI SPECIES IDENTIFICATION
- Point the camera at a fish, shark, ray or invertebrate and get an identification back
- Species profiles with scientific name, depth range, geographic regions, danger level and conservation status
- Browse the catalog by category: fish, sharks, rays, mammals, reptiles, mollusks, crustaceans, cnidarians
- Save any species to favorites
- Everything you identify joins your personal collection

DIVERS, NOT JUST DIVES
- Find divers by nickname, follow them, and watch their diving arrive in the Friends feed
- Like the ones you enjoyed
- 34 achievements, from your first identification to a full-category sweep
- A global leaderboard scored on Ocean Score, recalculated nightly: species x10, identifications x2, achievements x25, streak x5
- A certification wallet for your scuba, freediving, specialty and first-aid cards. Medical entries stay private and are never published.
- Share an entry as a sticker sized for Instagram Stories

PREMIUM
Premium unlocks AI Dive Story: turn a photo from a diving trip into a cinematic underwater scene. A monthly generation limit applies and is shown in the app.

WHO IT IS FOR
Recreational scuba divers who want the logbook on their phone instead of in a soggy paper book. Freedivers. Snorkelers. Anyone who surfaces with a photo of a fish and no idea what it was.

Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian.

Oceanus does not replace your dive computer and is not a dive planner. It does not calculate decompression or no-stop limits. Always dive within your training and follow your computer.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.19 — 2026-08-31

• Dive rating — give any dive 1 to 5 seastars, right from the edit screen. The rating shows on the dive card in your log.
• My gear — build your kit list in Profile: regulators, BCDs, dive computers, suits, masks, fins, tanks, lights, cameras. Pick brand and model from a catalogue or type your own. Attach the gear you used to each dive, and retire a piece without erasing it from past dives.
• Imperial units — Settings → Units switches depth, pressure and temperature to ft, psi and °F everywhere, depth chart included.
• Sun, moon and tide — your profile now shows today's sunrise, sunset, moon phase and tide for where you are. Works from an approximate location that stays on your device.
• Share your diver profile with a link that opens straight in the app.
• The appearance picker is now three plain tabs: System, Light, Dark.

### 1.0.18 — 2026-08-25

- Leaderboard — see how you rank against other divers. Scores update daily.
- Dive Log now has a Friends tab: dives from everyone you follow, newest first.
- Likes — tap the heart on any dive card. You'll get a notification when someone likes yours.

### 1.0.17 — 2026-08-18

- Settings have been reorganized, with new Privacy & Legal and Data & Storage screens — manage profile visibility, ad preferences and usage data, clear the image cache, or refresh the species catalog.
- Achievements: an award you've already dismissed no longer pops up again, and your progress no longer resets after signing back in.

### 1.0.16 — 2026-08-16

Your dive certifications, all in one place.

• Cards from PADI, SSI, SDI/TDI, NAUI, CMAS, RAID, BSAC, AIDA, Molchanovs and more
• Scuba, freediving, specialties, first aid and medical documents
• Save the front and back of each card, plus number, dates and instructor
• See at a glance what's about to expire
• You choose which certifications appear on your public profile — the card number and photos always stay private
